Driver seats frame is loose, have been waiting for part since October/2022, they said that I can take over a year. Strong Volkswagen technician told me that is not safe to drive the car because if I get in accident I can get smashed once the seat is not safely locked in place. The strong vw service manager told me that the solution is sale the car for someone who doesn’t know about the problem. The car is under the warranty bumper to bumper.

Shortly after acquiring this car, an airbag light appeared on the dashboard after my sister adjusted the passenger side seat. The airbag indicator showed that it was off afterward, despite my sister being adequate weight to require the airbag. Continued problems ensued when the seat would show that it was occupied (airbag on and seatbelt chime when unbuckled, even though there was no one in the seat). Now this happens sporadically, and it is unknown whether the airbag will be operational or not whenever I start the car. Often, turning the car off then back on will allow for the airbag to show it is on for a passenger. I have seen in other locations online that this is an issue that has affected other people online with this model of car.

For the past 2+ years, I will have had this car 3 years in Nov. 2019, and for the past 2 yrs+ the dealer has not found the trouble with the driver's side seatbelt sensor coming on for no reason. It comes on while driving, the ldriver's side seatbelt light comes on and the sensor starts beeping - the worst was over a half hour straight while driving home. It has happened on city streets- cannot recall it on highway driving. In the last few months the seatbelt unit was replaced- but the lights and beeping has returned. I am now thinking it may be the seat - sensor. Not the belt. I read/viewed videos that there was a short in the electrical of some people's seatbelt housing, fixed with welds. Most recently it is happening multiple times while driving. It happened 7 times while driving my car from work to the dealer, <10 miles city street drive. It has never been reproduced and I do not think any code was ever scanned. This is my first lease, and as such I only let the dealer tackle it. Still not fixed and now much, much worse, with multiple occurrences and no rhyme or reason to it.

The sunroof leaks water from all four counters into the vehicle: headliner, seats, carpet and dashboard. Warning signals/errors messages: air bag, traction, engine light. 2500 miles on vehicle purchased 3/18 new. The vehicle was parked in a driveway during a major rain storm.
The car makes noises when going over bumps or around corners as the body rolls back and forth I think it is the recall that was issued # 10122609 about the seats and a gap between a tab and the seat frame. My car was not included in this recall. It should have been included.

2017 vw alltrack s driver seat base bolster digs into left leg. I have owned previous vw's and never had a problem like this. Vw nor dealer would do anything. Very disappointing.
2001 vw Golf tdi, 9 years old with 173,000 miles. Driver seat mount (welded to slider) broke and now the seat tilt toward the rear on it's rear pivot point. This metal bracket is about 1/8" thick. This is very serious and can be dangerous if it occurs while driving. I spoke with vw customer care and the reply is; car is beyond warranty and therefore can't help with repair cost, take the car to the dealer and they will diagnose the problem and repair at my cost.

2. Driver's seat lock mechanism (forward & aft motion) failed to engage 1. Driver attempted to move the seat forward to use the car for an errand, and the seat would not lock in place. Any pressure on brake pedal resulted in the seat moving back, putting the foot controls out of reach. Driver is 5' 3" tall. 3. Local dealer looked at the car, determined that "dust and debris" jammed the under-seat mechanism. Tech cleaned and lubed the piston mechanism, resulting in a temporary fix. "if it ever fails again," the service manager said, "we might have to replace the part. " it should never have failed at all! this is a design defect that should be 100% fail-safe. The dealer/manufacturer should replace such defective units for free. Instead, the dealer said the part is out of warranty, and thus charged $90+tax to repair a safety defect. Outrageous! the problem really stemmed from the original lubricant gelling in the "piston in barrel" mechanism, preventing the piston from engaging the central seat lock rail. The consumer has no easy way to un-jam the complex mechanism. If this had jammed while the car was in motion, on a highway, the driver would have lost control and likely been injured or killed. Luckily not in this case. The design is defective when it results in even one failure. No other manufacturer uses such a complex, vulnerable seat lock mechanism that is prone to failure. They all use a simple system of levers, metal rods and springs to accomplish a reliable seat lock. Please ask vw to recall cars with such piston in sleeve systems to insure 100% reliability. . . Before someone gets killed.
1) I turned on my heated seats for the first time since last spring. 2) once the seat was on for less than 30 seconds I felt a sharp pain in my buttocks and felt the seat. The seat was very hot and I turned off the heated seat. The heated seat got so hot it melted a piece in the seat. The car smelled like there was a fire in it, like wires burning. I pulled over to make sure the car wasn't on fire. 3) the heated seat had been recalled by vw and was fixed in 2005. This was the "fixed" part that burnt. I took the car to the dealership where the car was purchased and the recall was fixed before. After taking my car to the shop they said that the seat literally flamed up and needed to be replaced as it wasn't safe. They stated that I still needed to pay 25% of the labor and parts because the recall had expired and the "fixed" part was no longer under warranty. Vw paid for 65% and the dealership paid 10%.

I was rear ended while my car was at a dead stop. The pick up truck behind me hit me going at an estimated speed of 50 mph causing me to hit the car in front of me. Both my front and rear end of my car suffered severe damages, but my air bag did not deploy and my seat came unlocked and caused me to smash into my steering wheel and dashboard.
