When the car gets started I have airbag light, power steering light, tire, pressure light, abs light, and traction control light all on. The lights stay on. But the car drives okay. The lights do not go off. For a while they would turn off after a few mins. Now they stay on while driving.

I started up my car and was driving from work, all of a sudden I see a bunch of my warnings light appear on the dashboard all at the same time. I was driving in alexandria city and the care was in motion when the lights appeared. The tire pressure light, traction control, abs, and even the air bag light. 3 different system have faults is a concern to my safety. I went to a mechanic twice and then the dealership, found out that the rear abs sensor needs to be changed to get rid of abs and traction control. After that was part was changed and the fault code was cleared the traction control and tire pressure still remained. Air bag light code was cleared too. After a month driving all of those same light reappeared again after I started up my car, I was stationary when the lights reappeared and was about to drive in city. The lights did not go away after driving. A big job needs to be done in which this is an manufacturer error which vw needs to take care of. I've spent close to $1100 of part and labor and this problem still remains. I am concerned for my safety if the electronic system might caused my air bags to deploy or traction control may not assist me while driving. The first incident occurred late July and the second occurred September 6.

My 2009 vw Jetta has the abs, electronic stability program (esp) warning lamps illuminated with a flashing brake warning light during normal highway driving. The abs system program was updated by my local vw dealer about two years ago as a part of a vw recall that was mailed to us. The car is extremely sensitive to wet or moist roads on a 90f day, it acts like it's driving on ice.

The same day I drove the vehicle off the dealer's lot, it shut-off on me three times; once on the new jersey turnpike and twice at a stop light. The first time at the stop light, I was waiting for the light to turn green. The second was coming to a stop. Further, I was unaware the vehicle had shut-off until I took my foot of the brake and placed it on the accelerator. It shut-off a fourth time the following weekend while in the middle of a four way intersection. Each time, the info center in the dashboard stated, "place the gear shift in park and manually start the vehicle. ".

Tl the contact owns a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact received a recall notice for NHTSA campaign number: 16v913000(service brakes, hydraulic, electronic stability control). When the contact initially received the notice, he contacted tom bush Volkswagen (9850 atlantic blvd, jacksonville, FL 32225, 904-371-4350) who serviced the vehicle and replaced the defective components. Two years later, the contact's wife noticed that the abs and brake warning indicators were illuminated upon starting the vehicle. The contact drove the vehicle back to the same dealer and was informed that he would have to pay out of pocket for any future repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they were standing by the dealer's decision regarding the handling of the vehicle. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure mileage was 135,000.
Turned on the car one day and the abs light came on and the emergency brake indicator started flashing on the dash. It lasted for a few days and then went away, but came back again a day later. I took the vehicle in to get it inspected and the anti-lock brake (abs) control module was faulty and had to be removed and replaced, which cost me over $2000. My complaint is that there is a recall for the same exact problem for the same year, make, and model of my car but a different engine type, therefore, it does not apply to my car (according to the VIN and your website). The recall campaign number that I am referencing is 16v913000. After reading other complaints, it seems I am not alone in my frustrations and that many others are affected by this issue as well.

At 46,800 miles the abs control module has failed. When starting up the car, numerous warning lights including (abs, traction, air bag, and brake) illuminate. These lights remain on with engine running and vehicle in motion. There are several past and current class action suites for this expensive Volkswagen $3500 repair.
The contact owns a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v913000 (service brakes, hydraulic, electronic stability control). The vehicle was taken to hover clay cooley Volkswagen of richardson (300 north central express way, richardson, TX 75080, 214-336-5770). The dealer stated that they would not replace the abs control module free of charge. The manufacturer was contacted and advised the contact to send an invoice with the cost for the abs control module and they may provide reimbursement. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact had not experienced a failure.
"takata recall" im having issues with the lights on dash when I press on break the oil lamp comes on. Then the traction control and abs lights come on. The front right headlight works half the time and the same with breaks the lights come on when the want to. These are the only issues im having so far except the ac dont work and always goes out!.
I bought my car certified preowned from a vw dealership in June with 20,000 miles. Within a month of purchase, accessory lights began illuminating randomly and then switching back off. It is always the same set of lights- abs, tire pressure, airbag, traction/anti-skid, and steering wheel light all come on at the same time. Now they come on every time I drive and never turn off. I don't notice a difference in the driving, but the lights are worrisome. I also have another issue where occasionally when I accelerate the car fails to "pick up" or accelerate for like 5 seconds, and then it catches and the car continues to run smoothly from then on. . . But I'm unsure if they're related.
Out of nowhere the epc light and mil lights came on the car lost power and the engine was rumbling. Very scary while driving on the highway. Took it to the dealer. Ignition coil and spark plug wires has to be replaced. Cost me over $900. A day later, I see that this same problem was a recall on Jettas in the past. I am out of pocket $900 and was nearly rear-ended on the highway because of this. Why hasn't vw corrected this problem? I want to be reimbursed since this is a problem that has existed in Jettas for year!.

The antilock brake system control unit is failing during abs or electronic stability control activation, resulting in a loss of vehicle control and esp light coming on and off randomly.
Abs module recall for 2009 Volkswagen models affected needs to be revised, for there are lots of cars that suffer from abs modules failing while they are driving. Some cars which are illegible are left unfixed by Volkswagen because they do not fit the specific details of the recall. The company shipped cars out with faulty abs modules and refuse to fix it and those cars are hazardous on the road. My vehicle, for example, has abs module working intermittently while it should be staying on. During a diagnosis the ecu senses no communication between it and the abs module, which is a hazard knowing my abs will not always function when I need it to stop quicker in response to the many obstacles on the road. The faulty abs sensor messed with my steering and gauges. The gauges do not present real time calculations and the steering assist has completely shut down due to abs being unresponsive.
Front assist does not work.

Brakes locking up. . Lights for abs stability on.
Tl-the contact owns a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta se. The contact stated that when attempted to start up the vehicle, it did not start, because the battery was dead. The vehicle was jump start and seven warning indicators illuminated ( check engine, abs , esp, power steering ). The vehicle started after the jump start and it was taken to the dealer ciocca Volkswagen of allentown, 1345 lehigh st, allentown, PA 18103, they determined that the vehicle required a new abs module and pump and a new ignition switch. The contact also stated receiving a recall notification for NHTSA campaign number: 16v913000 ( service brakes, hydraulic, electronic stability control ). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000. Bp.
I was driving to work and the abs control module suddenly quit working. It hasn't started working again at all so it wasn't a fluke.
Abs light on and brake blinking red light.
Tl- the contact owns a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that when attempted to drive the vehicle, the brake, abs and traction warning lights illuminated with a beeping sound. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the abs module failed and needed to be replaced and informed the contact to take the vehicle to a dealer. The vehicle was later taken to winn Volkswagen woodland hills deler, located at 21141 ventura blvd, woodland hills, CA 91364, (818) 884-4444, where it was diagnosed that the abs module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated the vehicle was recall of NHTSA campaign 16v9130000 (service brakes, hydraulic, electronic stability control) and was taken to winn Volkswagen woodland hills dealer where a software update was performed. The contact stated that the software updated did not correct the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 76,000. Aw.
Abs vw Jetta recall. My 2009 vw is currently under a safety recall for abs system failures. The abs system on my car has in fact failed, yet the dealer is refusing to complete the recall because the system is in failure and they claim that the software cannot be updated to see if the system is failing. The dealer instructed me to replace the abs system in my car (at my own cost) so they can complete the software check. The estimate for the repair was $2900. I refused as the part in question is under recall. They claim the recall does not cover my failed abs system. I believe Volkswagen is abdicating their safety responsibilities for a known problem and failed part in their cars. In a cursory review online there are hundreds of similar complaints to be found online. I hope that the ntsb is reviewing similar complaints and will compel vw to make the mechanical repairs to the abs systems necessary, not just check the software.
The engine may idle and stumble upon acceleration. This may be due to faulty engine control module software misadjusting the valve timing. " thi is the current safety recall for the same make model and year of my car, however, my VIN has not been included. This is the issue with my car. It will happen while in park, when slowing down to stop. My car has stalled as a result at a stop sign or at a light. Last time this happened was today.

Map sensor - repeating failure the manifold absolute pressure (map) sensor failure causes exponential safety issues while driving on highways and/or higher speeds that can result in death. After repeated replacement and repairs, continuous failure occurs. Stalling, power and steering issues occur at high speeds and/or on highways, putting driver at risk for a fatal collision. Personally, I have had the sensor replaced multiple times, including hoses and pumps on three different occasions. Soon thereafter, map sensor fails and has caused me to create almost a dozen collisions at high speeds, particularly on highways.
Secondary air injection system - ongoing issue. . No reading for smog check.

My car has had many problems and has not been able to be fixed through the dealership. All problems occurred after 50,000 miles. The engine seems to run and start hard. The car would not accelerate when driving. It would rev up but no motion until something eventually switched into gear, while in motion on streets and highway. It will act like this for awhile without triggering a code. I would bring it to the dealership and would be told it was nothing. Eventually it will trigger the epc code, but the code will disappear the next time the car is turned on. About 4 days after that the engine light comes on. Volkswagen dealership has "fixed" this issue once before stating that it was a manufacture defect. They covered the cost, but since then it has happened again and they state that now I am responsible for covering the repair, when it wasn't fixed correctly or diagnosed correctly in the first place. I have missed numerous days of work, and have been without a car do to diagnosis/ repairs for over 2 months in this past year. This should not happen with only 56,000 miles on a car.
O ring transmissions leak, epc light, cooling fan.
The vehicle suspension harness system was damaged by vw roadside assistance's contracted tow company.
Abs sensor error- had to replace sensor on two occasions within two years. Each one costing over $200. On second replace, the sensor directly from vw was defective. Warning light comes on, goes off, comes on, etc. Comes on when moving and sometimes when sitting still. Mechanic told me this is a very common error. I don't want a car that is not fully dependable. After the tdi issue and 10 mpg less with the fix, I am very unhappy.
A random notice appears on the dash display, "driver assistance button is disabled". Then windshield wipers randomly activate, door locks click locked and unlocked, and cruise control disables all while driving. High beams no longer function and occasionally all electric display, radio sound, and lights go black while driving. You must pull over, shut off the car, and wait approximately 5 minutes before restarting to recover to normal. Volkswagen service claims nothing is wrong with the car because it doesn't show up on the diagnostic report.
Tl- the contact owns a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that while the driver was driving, all the warning lights on the instrument panel illuminated with a beeping noise. The vehicle was taken to carolina Volkswagen dealer, located at 7800 e independence blvd, charlotte, nc 28227, (704) 537-2336, where it was diagnosed that the abs module failed and needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was included under a recall NHTSA campaign number: (service brakes, hydraulic, electronic stability control) but could not repaired due to the module already failed. The vehicle was not repaired due to the repaired fees. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not offer further assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 124,000. Aw.
With my car in motion every time I turn my car on, I have multiple warnings that come on due to a fault in sensors causing my car to have the engine light on. I have asked the dealership if there were any recalls for air emission on my car or air bag recalls on my car and there answer was no. The driver side door handle has broken off to where you cannot properly close the door (I have krazy glued it back on once already) and it just is becoming a big issue. Every time I fix one issue, another one rises up causing me more headaches and stress due to no one having answers for me.

While driving on the highway the car cut off the epc light came on . I managed to restart and pull over and then after three attempts the car started and stayed on . The epc light came on again. I had the car looked at by the car repair shop that I was near out of fear of driving; but no sooner did I get the car back the same thing started happening to the vehicle( while in motion the car stalls no light necessarily come on with exception of the epc light which does not stay on. Oppose to me pouring money into the car I read about recalls and this same thing is happening in other models but my VIN is not listed and I want it included this is dangerous and inconvenienant please help me.
