One problem related to transmission failure has been reported for the 2010 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
This is a 2010 tdi wagon with the dsg automatic transmission. The transmission was a problem from the start being very jumpy starting off and stalling repeatedly in stop-and-go traffic. The dealer after numerous requests finally agreed to let me demonstrate the problem which I did. The dealer replaced the electro-hydraulic controller but then found the transmission had failed completely. I replaced the car with a 2012 model but with a manual transmission. The dsg is a dangerous transmission making the car operation erratic and unpredictable.
