One problem related to automatic transmission park/neutral start switch has been reported for the 1999 Volkswagen Passat. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving on highway at 65 mph gear will automaticly go into neutral and suddenly will switch back into a lower gear. Vehicle has been taken trhee diferent times to dealer, but problem still there.
