I own a 2011 Volkswagen Routan minivan and the ignition switch stops working I know there are a few recalls for this on the 2009 and 2010 years I call vw corporation and they said they can't help me just because there's no recalls on my vehicle the part they used in the previous years is the same that is damage in my vehicle so I don't think is fair and I would like to get some help for this thank you.
Van is missing and would turn off complety while driving down the road. Loss of brake power and power steering( very hard to stop and steer). I beleive it is the ignition switch or the tipm.
On 4 occasions since 3-6-15, when turning the ignition switch to start, nothing happens. After one or two tries it will start. The battery is fairly new and strong so it is not the battery. This seems to be related to this Chrysler built product which is under recall. I hope it does not stop running going down the road.
