Body Problems of Volvo C70 - part 2

Drivers door without warning while driving at high speed suddenly unlatches, hazard light and warning indicator that door is open is shown . Besides being very dangerous it is very scary . My problem has not been confirmed by dealer but was reported to dealer as far back as 7 years ago.

Tl-the contact owns a 2008 Volvo C70. The contact stated that the driver's side door and the rear trunk would sporadically become unlatched while driving at various speeds. The contact stated that she would have to stop and exit the vehicle to close the trunk and the door before proceeding. The contact stated that the vehicle would be taken to the dealer for inspection of the failure. The manufacturer was notified who offered no assistance. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 75,000. Kmj.

I was driving my 2004 Volvo C70 when I drifted off into a high curb. This caused my passenger airbag to deploy. The loud and disrupting noise then caused me to loose all control of the car. As I then ran through a fence and trees before I came to a stop. I was the only one in the car. So why did the empty passenger seat bag deploy. And why did the drivers airbag not deploy.

On multiple occasions over several months , the passenger side door would pop open while driving at highway speeds or even at slower speeds when taking a turn. Was randomly occurring and not necessarily related to driving over any bumps. Dealer kept for several weeks stating door latch was in spec and that manufacturer would not reimburse dealer if not defective part. First dealer attempted to put in metal splints wedged into the front door panel frame. Problem still occurred. Finally dealer replaced door latch and problem has not reoccurred in 8 months since. Have seen similar reports online from other car owners.

Water leaks through the rear left and right windows. I have taken the car in three times since Feb 8, 2008 to get this repaired. The solutions have ranged from injecting sealant to replacing the seals. However, the leak persists. Following the most recent repair (replacing the seals on July 8), the right rear side window rattles and the leak is worst than ever. This has been a very frustrating and time-consuming endeavor.
