Have there been complaints about the pirelli tires with foam inlays falling apart because the foam comes unattached, then causing misalignment. Car becomes unsafe to drive as the tires start to disintegrate. My car started shaking so bad it became difficult to drive. Turned out foam inlay had become unattached which caused uneven wear and some tire disintegration along with the alignment getting out of whack. Tire size 235/40r19 96v pirelli p-zero - it happened with all four tires. Two in the front were relatively new and had less than 10000 miles on them.

4 new bridgestone weatherpeak bl 235/45r18 tires were purchased for "mom’s" low mileage vehicle. 8 months / 3,850 miles later, while my daughter was driving it in the center lane of the highway, the front left tire suddenly exploded! fortunately, there were no injuries but had there been another vehicle at her side, this might have been a different story. The vehicle was towed back to the tire dealer to have the tire replaced. Combined with bridgestone’s known past tire issues, we are now afraid to drive on the highway on these tires!!.

Sudden, extreme vibration of front tires on I-95 west palm beach FL. Drove immediately to schumacher Volvo to keep initial service appointment. Volvo S60 driven on freeway at 65 mph for 30 minutes, large bang, then complete blowout - all the tread separated from the michelin tire in the back right side. Tires had been inspected visually Aug. 17 by owner, may 6 by Volvo dealer and were in good shape. In may, 2008, the front right tire, same michelin brand, had been destroyed by perforations of the tire even though no impact occurred. The may event also happened driving on a freeway at 65 mph.
Front tires are rubbing the body on the inside of the tire. Vehicle has original wheels and tires. Chronic problem with Volvo.

Late last summer, upon starting up my car, I noticed a hissing noise coming from the center panel on the dashboard. Didn't really think anything of it until I tried to turn on the air conditioner and the car made the same hissing noise. Noise lasts only 5-10 seconds upon startup of the car or the ac, but now the ac only blows hot air. Took car to Volvo dealership here in southern California where I purchased the car and they said that they were going to have to rip open the entire front panel to investigate the problem. As I have been told twice previously by this dealership that I need service that I did not really need (this was now the third time), I chose to hold off on letting them perform such a task. Instead, I took the car to another mechanic and described the problem to him. He let me know that when there was no freon left in the ac unit. They replaced it and within one day, it had completely leaked. They then performed an inspection on the ac and either the compressor or the hoses has a major leak in it. I have no accidents and the car has less than 60,000 miles on it currently. The problem was first detected at less than 45,000 miles on it. Estimate on repair was $1500+. At 22,500 mile checkup, Volvo replaced radiator on car. Mechanic said that it was possible that Volvo dealership may have damaged the ac unit at that time since they are in close proximity. In addition, as I noticed on another person's complaint form, I also have the rubbing of the front tires when turning. Quite annoying and I do my best to avoid the friction at all costs. Doesn't occur on normal turns, just when maneuvering for parking spaces or getting out of my parking garage.
2004 Volvo S60 r with 18" tires. Inside driver tire contacts inside driver tire wall. Wear will cause premature tire failure. Dealer has always maintained that this "rubbing" is not a problem. I have complained multiple times. I have photos of the tire damage. The side wall and corner tread is worn through to the steel belt and cord. I have been told that this is not due to alignment, but matches up with the rubbing of the tire well wall.
- the contact stated that the tire failed while driving 40 mph. The contact stated that the weather was very cold, and it was raining on and off. He was told by the dealer that the tire psi was 35 when it is actually was 38 psi. The contact stated that he had been driving for over a year at 35 psi. There was a s recall on the tire label 110, s161a120106. Other than driving for a year under inflated he had no other problems with the tires. Also, the contact also damaged the rim because he couldn't get off the road quickly. Updated 1/29/2007 -.

2005 Volvo S60 awd turbo. The right tire rubs on the inside of the cars frame when I make a left turn. We have been told they all do it. We have driven a few other types of the S60 model and have found they have the same issue. Now, our issue is that over time this will/could cause the tire to fail and result in a crash. Volvo has realigned the car twice to try to correct the issue, now they would like to remove the inner metal shields to see if that will help. We feel those shield were put on the car for a reason and the reason is not to be taken off at a later date to cover up a problem.
: the contact stated aftermarket rims and tires were installed on the vehicle. While making left turns the tires rubbed against the fender wall. The vehicle was taken back to the dealership where an aftermarket spacer bar was installed which temporarily remedied the problem. Afterwards, the dealership put the original tires and rims back on the vehicle. The contact believes the aftermarket spacer bar has interfered with the integrity of the vehicle.
My wife, janelle, and I have a 2003 Volvo S60 which we purchased new in April, 2003, and which had four original equipment michelin tires (mxv-4, I believe). We use it for normal highway and suburban travel in the boston area. When the car had gone only 8000 miles, one of the left tires gave out on us. The side wall of the tire unraveled, and the tire could not be repaired. No specific cause could be determined. Fortunately, this happened in a quiet cape cod town and we were not in any danger (but I was out about $150). We had no further problems until September 13, when the right front tire gave out from the side in the same manner as the previous tire on route 128 in wakefield, MA (at 23000 miles), while I was traveling more than 60 miles an hour in heavy traffic. We were lucky not to have been killed or injured. Again, the tire was ruined. Again, it cost me over $150 for a replacement tire. Both tire dealers who sold us replacement michelin matching tires advised us that perhaps the problem had to do with the "low profile" of the Volvo S60 and bumping into curbs. Yet the first tire which unraveled was on the left side of the vehicle and the second tire which unraveled had absolutely no contact with a curb for about 100 miles prior to the incident. I do not believe that this should have happened. I believe that the original tires were defective, and we are now afraid to drive the car at all, even though we are planning long trips in the next few weeks. I want the remaining tires replaced by michelin ASAP, and I want to be reimbursed for the $300 I have already spent on the first 2 replacement tires. Have there been other complaints? what should I do? could you contact michelin for me? Volvo refuses to do anything. My office phone number is 781/431-9788, and my home phone number is 781/641-0668. My cell phone no. Is 617/645-4345. Thank you in advance for your prompt assistance.

Pirelli four seasons p6, tire size p235/45 r 17, dot no. Xbcuc236, I have had three instances where the tires have experienced sudden deflation while parking along a valley curb. No damage to the tires but had to have them remounted and balanced. I have also had two instances where the tires had sudden deflation while driving, once at 35 mph and once at 70 mph. In both instances, I was not immediately aware of the deflation and the tires were ruined as they were driven flat. There was no other damage to the tires and there had not been any impacts to them prior to deflation. The tires were provided as original equipment on my 2001 Volvo S60.

I recently leased a Volvo S60 with pirelli p6 235/45r17 tires. The vehicle has 2900 miles on it and I have had to replace three (3) of the tires. I am told it is due to road conditions, such as potholes, etc. There is no damage to any of my rims; therefore, I obviously did not hit anything that hard. I have been getting the run around from both Volvo and pirelli with regard to this issue. Volvo tells me that it is pirelli's responsibility and the customer service representative I spoke to at pirelli told me that Volvo is trying to avoid their responsibility. He also informed me that he was processing four (4) claims that day from Volvo for tire damage. I feel there is a problem with these tires and I am driving at risk to my children and myself. I have put out over $500 for tires in the last month and I am very nervous about continuing to operate my vehicle on these tires. I would appreciate anything you could do to assist me in getting some satisfaction from either Volvo or pirelli tires. I am very nervous about driving the car with these tires.
With only 6,000 miles on the vehicle, front left tire separated from the rim. Upon inspection, they said nothing was wrong. (nar).
