One problem related to front suspension lower ball joint has been reported for the 1998 Volvo S70. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The left front brake rotor locked up, causing some components to burn up. The problem was due to a stuck caliper, which according to Volvo is not related to the brake pad and rotor replacement performed by dealer. Lower ball joint was also replaced.
