One problem related to tailgate latch has been reported for the 1998 Volvo S70. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Poor visibility behind vehicle. Hazard light switch is inappropriately positioned in front of the automatic shift handle, and is accidentally switched on. Remote control for the rear trunk is over-sensitive.
