Tank Assembly problems of the 2001 Volvo V70

1 Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 07/06/2002

Gas tank stopped providing fuel to engine, as if tank was empty, even though approximately 2 gallons remained in the tank.

2 Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 12/29/2000

Consumer states while traveling at high speed engine suddenly shut down, vehicle was towed to dealership and after inspection of the vehicle it was determined that debris was left in the fuel tank, that at certain fuel levels clog the fuel line that causes engine to shut down, the dealer has solved the problem by using a fuel filter, however dealer still has the vehicle because they have discovered that the tank runs dry while still indicating 75 miles of gas on the instrumentation.
