Sunroof exploded while mechanic was driving the vehicle. Fortunately, sunroof visor was closed, so only minor amount of glass entered the vehicle, and no injury from the explosion or glass. There was no inspection by manufacturer or police, as not needed, also no warning lights, etc.

When I am driving in 5th gear the transmission will drop into 4th gear, at that time I loose 1st, 3rd and 5th gears I can shift between 4th and 2nd. The shift is very hard and causes a jerk and clunking noise. I have to stop and shut off the vehicle. I turn the car immediately back on and all the gears are functional. I'm not sure why there's so many complaints about this issue yet no action has been taken to fix this problem.
Vehicle warning light for airbag is alarming since my airbag didn't deploy in my 2017 car accident when my car was hit from rear, front and driver side. Car was total. Seat beat and airbag failure in vehicle during accident while moving. This vehicle had a small tap accident but airbag warning light continues to appear but airbag didn't deploy. .

Takata recall nothing has happened as of yet, but a warning light is on telling me there is something seriously wrong with the airbags and needs immediate attention. Before I take it in & pay for the repair I need to know if this vehicle was part of the recall. I couldn't see it online but I am certainly concerned.

"takata recall" I was driving east bound on arlington blvd in virginia and proceeded to stop on a yellow light when a car driving over 55 mph hit my 2002 Volvo from the rear and my vehicle spun out of control and hit another car front/side from the west bound intersection in the 3rd lane coming the opposite side and all cars was total. My seatbelt and airbag didn't save me from going forward or deploying. I was injured and still seeking medical attention after October 17, 2017 with 2 black eyes, broke teeth, whip lash, neck, knees and back injury. The car is still at beyers collision in alexandria virginia.

I was on the entrance ramp to I-94 when the accelerator stomped flush to the floor. The engine revved uncontrollably and I tried to clutch it down but kept on accelerating. At this point I turned off the ignition but that did no good. All the instrumentation turned off but the engine was maxed out and was going berserk. I had a clutch so I pushed it into neutral but the rpms went to the 7,000s. With the keys off, I pulled of the interstate desperately trying to slow down the rpms but nothing worked. I finally put it into gear to try and stop it and it literally ¿blew up¿. It¿s totaled. What I want to know is if this has been previously reported, if there has been any kind of recall on this. Volvo wouldn¿t answer any of my questions. It was a great car but it was a very dangerous situation that I haven¿t been able to get any answers about. It apparently was some kind of a computer malfunction as a mechanical failure would have been solved by turning the key ¿off¿! I want to lodge a complaint but don¿t know where to start.

I had traveled approximately 40 miles at a speed between 55 and 70 mph, when the sunroof exploded. I was driving on highway 67 near newport arkansas. Outside temperature was in the high 90's. Nothing around my vehicle at the time of the incident and the sunroof was protruding out with a large hole blown in the glass.
Would like to know why the above referenced vehicle, Volvo brand, is not on your recall notification list. We have both models. Thank you.
The turn signal is somehow not connected properly to the vehicle. Every time the driver uses the turn signal, the brights to the car go on. This is very dangerous at night especially, as the driver flashes brights to other drivers as the turn signal goes on with the brights to the car. Tried to fix the issue once, and the same issue happened again about two years later. Will fix the part again.
Safety issue with tire pressure monitoring system (tpms). Sudden loss of air in tire at high speed. Pressure monitoring valve had disintegrated and fallen into tire, we learned, causing immediate flat tire. Corrosion, we were told. Car had less than 41,000 miles on it, and had been maintained at prescribed intervals, and we were not warned that this problem could occur. We narrowly avoided an accident in heavy traffic at highway speeds. This is a significant safety issue.

The radiator fan ran consistently although I was driving in the winter coming back from lake tahoe. While driving on the highway a smell of burned rubber started to spread inside the car so I immediately slowed down and parked it on the emergency lane. After opening the hood, a fire came out. The entire fan melted as a result of overheated due to it running nonstop.
Tl- the contact owns a 2000 Volvo V70. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at a stop, the vehicles rear axle failed as a result of being rear ended in the collision. Similarly, the impact from the rear end collision caused the rear seats to be pushed closer towards the front and passenger side seats. The impact also caused the vehicle to become bent, with a crease in the roof of the vehicle. The vehicle was totaled, the contact was injured, and received immediate medical attention. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was notified and offered no remedy. There was no diagnosis completed on the vehicle. The failure mileage was 100,000 miles and the current mileage was 100,000. The VIN was not provided.

Volvo, 2001 V70 - VIN yv1sw58d111019707 this specific vehicle is unreliable and unsafe. Since purchased new, car has had multiple system failures leading to various unsafe driving conditions including brake system failure and engine failure (including loss of braking and steering systems). I have Volvo V70 t5 wagon with reduced performance and unexpected acceleration and reduction of acceleration. The vehicle stopped on traffic and I was almost rear ended. The vehicle accelerated while entering the garage and causing damage to the body of the vehicle. Additionally, the climate control in the car stopped working. My dealer ed schmidt Volvo in perrysburg, ohio now saids that I need to replace my throottle module ($1300) and the processor for the climate control ($1400). The vehicle is only three thousand miles beyond warranty. I have a dangerous lemon in my hands and there is nothing I can do. I thank god that my young children where not near the garage when the car accelearted out of control. Please feel free to contact me. This car should not be on the road in its present condition.
