I recently was forced to use the pry-off cap and manual key entry to get into my 2013 Volvo Xc60. This was due to the vehicle’s lack of response to the fob, there was no communication between the fob and the electrical system. Once inside, inserting the fob, the engine started but the entire instrument cluster was flashing intermittently the various warning lights, and the windows could not be lowered. The cluster showed failure of speedometer, tachometer, brake system, seat belts and all other gauges on the cluster. Not knowing whether it was safe to drive, I turned it off. I returned later and turned it on, same problem. I went around the block, contacted the Volvo dealer for consultation, and secured an emergency appointment to bring it in. On the next day/the appointment, I drove the car in, during which the systems seemed to have reset themselves, but halfway there the problem started again. At this point the vehicle has been there (howard orloff Volvo, 1924 n. Paulina st, chicago, 1. 877. 570. 6927) since the 28th, they have not been able to give me a diagnosis, and the bill is over $600. How can this problem not be a safety risk for ordinary person such as myself? it is my understanding, from researching this, that this is a common and recurring problem so why has there not been a recall for what is obviously a defect inherent in this make and model car? kindly respond with a reference number for this complaint. Thank you very much.

There was (still is) an issue with my 2016 Volvo Xc60's electrical wiring. I was driving, about to get onto the highway when my Volvo stalled on the on ramp. It wouldn't start, it couldn't be jumped. It had to be towed to the repair shop. They charged me over $1,000. 00 for a brand new starter, and after they did it started for one day and then it broke down again. I couldn't even drive it out of the repair shop. I had to get it towed again. The dealership said it was an electrical/wiring issue that could be very expensive. I have found out that there was a recall for 2015 Xc60 Volvos for wiring/electrical issues causing the vehicle to stall. However my 2016 Volvo Xc60 does not qualify per the repair show due to the date it was manufactured. I'm submitting this form for a safety issue because Volvo clearly knew about this issue enough to need recalls for 2015s. There should also be recalls for this same wiring/electrical issue in 2016s.

My car continued to move even with the brake pedal pressed, and collision avoidance systems did not turn on. This is very unsafe - a car that doesn’t respond when the driver brakes puts everyone else on the road in danger. The first time this happened was on Sep. 6, 2022. I was driving on the highway when the car in front of me stopped abruptly. I started to brake. The distance between our cars was large enough that I should have been able to stop safely, but my car continued to move. I was unable to stop the vehicle and crashed into the car in front of me. At the time, I thought it was my fault. Although there was damage to my car, luckily no one was injured. (this was resolved, and my car was repaired, with help from shelter insurance. ) on June 13, 2023, I was pulling up to a red light behind another vehicle. I stepped on the brakes and my car jolted to a stop (I had to push the pedal down very hard to get my car to start slowing down). Then my car began to move again, even though I had not released the brake pedal. It was moving at about 1-2 mph. My car got so close to the car in front of us that the parking sensors began to beep. We would have run into the stationary vehicle if I hadn’t put my car in neutral. When the light switched to green I put my car in drive again. At the next intersection the brakes were back to normal, and my car was driving as before. I had my car towed to the local Volvo dealership. After an inspection, I was told they hadn’t found anything wrong. I left my car at the dealership for further investigation, and was given a loaner. I don’t know if there is a connection, but both times this happened, I had been driving on the highway at high speeds (70 mph) for a few hours before trying to brake.

Srs airbag light came on three times in a month but did not stay on. Took it to Volvo dealership to see what the issue was. According to dealership- there was loose pin tension in the left front door harness. They checked for codes and received srs b11a081 left side pressure sensor message failures. Followed vida fault tracing and found the loose tension in srs pins in the driver door harness. They had to replace the srs terminal pins and splice wiring. The dealership did mention that this has happened with 3 or 4 different Volvo models already this year. It sounds like it's a defect in the manufacturing of the srs system within the doors. However, Volvo warranty will not cover this repair. My primary concern was that the airbag was deactivated this entire time, even when the light was off. Again, the warning only came on for three trips in an entire month. I had assumed it was a software glitch, since when my software needs updating electrical things start to happen (I. E. Spacial sensors going off when nothing is around me and I'm parked).

After not driving for several months, both batteries in my 2023 xc 60 failed to function. Volvo replaced both batteries. Two weeks later, the car did not recognize the key. The dealer replaced the smaller battery for a second time and updated the software. At the moment, it still works.

I've experienced many problems with the google built in system in this Volvo. But the one that keeps happening is the speed sensors. The car is supposed to read traffic signs, including speed signs and alarm when exceeding the posted speed limit. It does not work. For example on i66 east bound in virginia, the speed limit is not 80mph, it is either 60, 65 or 70 if using the express lanes. The Volvo keeps showing the speed limit on this interstate as 80, see attached images showing speed limit sign at 80. Complained to Volvo, they blamed google. Complained to google, they blamed Volvo. Other roads have the same sign recognition. The car infotainment & safety features randomly shut down, or fail, while driving and the vehicle has to be reset often. Back up cameras quit working while backing up sometimes it will not go into reverse without shutting off the car or doing a reset.
While driving, the engine will shut off while stopped and fail to restart when the gas pedal is engaged. The car will not turn on, the steering column and brake pedal lock rendering it completely unresponsive to any attempt to restart the vehicle. It has now happened over six times and Volvo has made two attempts to fix it, but it continuously occurs.

I've had my Volvo for 6 months and two weeks ago I started getting warning alerts that the braking system, lane departure system and other electrical systems were having issues (the doors wouldn't lock and car wouldn't start). I've taken the car to the Volvo dealership 3 times and they have been unsuccessful in determining what the issue is. There is something wrong with the software and a software update that was installed on my car at the first service visit (when this began happening 2 weeks ago).
I have had 5 visits with problems with engine , braking sensors, and automatic braking incidents when no obstruction is noted. Propulsion system failure has occurred 3+ times and turtle mode has come on and limited my speed to 30 mpg. It has also started bouncing and shaking while in reverse. I am extremely concerned about the safety threats and lack of consistency when taking it to be repaired.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? -the backup camera system fails to respond intermittently. Often times the screen will remain black for several seconds while backing up before the screen shows any picture. Other times it will come on, and then flash to black while you are backing up. This is a major hazard should a child run/walk behind a car, when this occurs. I'm hoping others have expressed this problem so action can be taking. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? -since backup cameras are a federal requirement since 5/2018. The failure to function on these new cars I find to be unacceptable. Even more so given that Volvo is supposed to be a brand dedicated to safety. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? -indirectly yes, the Volvo dealership acknowledged that the new google system is slow to respond at times. But they said a new software update would fix it. I have found this to not be the case and it seems to be happening more frequently now. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? -yes by the dealer. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? -no.
Now on two occasions found car completely without power after sitting unused for 2 or 3 days. On both occasions car plugged into level 2 charger overnight (this is a plug in hybrid model). Required jump start after having to use emergency key to get inside. After jumpstart, received numerous propulsion system errors as well as on first incident, errors saying sos communication system disabled. Dealer replaced tcam battery with fresh one stating that computer tries to do updates and drains battery, and dealer lot has occasional dead cars with similar issue. On second incident, car moved into “turtle” limp home mode with critical 12v charging messages. In both instances, car was in a conditioned garage around 48 degrees. Hybrid battery was 100% charged in both cases. Concerned there is a batter drain due to tcam or main software systems. This is more than inconvenience - this could be a real danger to have a car that may not start reliably after sitting for 48 hours, such as an airport or other setting where getting help is difficult. Limp home mode is driving hazard. There are multiple instances of this on Volvo websites that seems to impact multiple t8 models with a plug in hybrid power train and google aaos infotainment/car system architecture. Please help!.
The vehicle performed an over the air update which failed. The vehicle became inoperable. The vehicle was force started with dash lights indicating multiple system failures. The infotainment system has crashed multiple times rendering climate control non usable. A loaner 2023 Xc60 was provided which also resulted in the infotainment center crashing twice. Dealership acknowledged the issue but has no solution for the issue. My concern is there is no guarantee the other safety features are functioning correctly if the most simple electrical component of the vehicle is failing.
I purchased the car in April 2022. Did not have any issues until February 2023. Initially, the engine light came on with a turtle icon in the dash screen. I was driving and the car would not go over 45 mph. On a busy street . The car was hesitating badly and also said something about the propulsion? Volvo ontario towed it from my business and supposedly fixed it. Fast forward the following week, engine light came. Back to dealer, who said the software at that time was not available and it was a recall. A few days later they said they were disconnecting the engine light until new update was available. Back to dealer with update now installed, supposedly this would fix all the engine issues. A few days later, 3/7 I got into car and started it . This mesage came on, "slow down, the vehicle will reduce speed. Propulsion system failure", followed by ,"propulsion system service required" with yellow engine light on. Backed out of the driveway and the car started vibrating and shaking violently. Currently waiting on Volvo for next steps. I am so dissapointed with this car and it is a huge concern for safety. I purchased this car because of their reputation for safety.
The contact owns a 2023 Volvo Xc60. The contact stated upon shifting into park (p), the gear shift indicator light displayed that the transmission was in park (p); however, the vehicle continued to roll. The contact stated that he continuously pressed the park (p) button until the vehicle responded. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated while driving at various speeds with adaptive cruise control (acc) mode engaged, the steering wheel independently pulled to the right aggressively. The contact stated that he used physical strength to pull the steering wheel back to the left; however, the steering wheel failed to return to the center position and continuously turned to the left, then to the right. The contact also stated that while driving with auto centering feature activated, the vehicle was driving from side to side. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an unknown software upgrade was performed. Additionally, the contact received an unknown notice for mandatory software update. The contact stated that the software update was performed; however, the failure worsened. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 400.
I have had several software/computer issues since purchase. Now the whole control system has failed and all safety functions are dead, in addition to radio, heating/cooling and voice command systems.
Problem with the 12v batteru charging faulty. Took to it the dealer but said its common with undriven vehciles. My car sat in the garage for 1day and got this error message when started for a trip. Speed has been limited to 3mph. Not able to use the car. Searched and verified lot of fourms about Volvo this is know issue with Xc60b5 engines. But dealers are nt acknowledging this issue.
On Friday, January 6, 2023, I left work in my 2023 Volvo Xc60 recharge. As I merged onto i26 nothing appeared out of the ordinary. As I began to speed up, my tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) alerted me to a low-pressure situation. I pulled to the side of the road and requested roadside assistance. The rear driver-side tire had a screw embedded in the tread. A plug was placed by roadside assistance, and I was told to proceed to the dealership for a new tire as the side wall had damage. About a mile from the dealership my tpms again began to alarm. I needed to be more familiar with my vehicle to troubleshoot the issue, so hendricks advised me to return. Hendricks again inspected the vehicle. They stated that the driver’s side tire had been over-inflated. I left the dealership to return home. As I was exiting i26 the tpms monitor again alarmed me. I was surprised to see that it stated that all the tires were low on pressure. I was a short distance from my destination, so I decided to proceed and investigate there as it was dark. At the restaurant, I looked at the tires, which looked perfectly fine and not over or under-inflated. After dinner, I left the restaurant approximately two miles from my house and decided to contact hendricks in the morning. Nothing was unusual about the car as I turned right into my development. One block into the development is a stop sign. At the stop sign, I turned left to go to my home. As I began to apply the brakes, the car started to alarm, “brake failure. ” I frantically pumped the brakes, and the car did not stop! it kept going straight right toward our community pool and lake! straight ahead of me is our community pool and a 300-acre lake (it is a retention pond but calling it that does not overinflate lot prices, so they call it a lake). I did not end up in an accident or the lake because I quickly “skidded” the car sideways.
I have a 1 month old 2023 Xc60 t8 phev recharge extended range with 1250 miles on it. I was driving without any issues for the past 1 months. I got a turtle icon with the check engine light on constant when I started driving today. The car had pulled back while driving and there was substantial diminished power, and could be dangerous in the wrong circumstances. I called Volvo and they explained not to drive the car and towed the car to the nearby Volvo dealership. Waiting on diagnosis 2 days now. I've now noticed other vehicles of the same type are having the same issues. This does not seem to be normal for a cars operation to have random diminished power. . Read more...
1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? blind spot sensor repeatedly malfunctioning. Vehicle generates "service required" message, and it appears that blind spot monitors fail to illuminate. Child safety locks also deactivate without driver input. Vehicle is currently available for inspection. 2. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? dealer has updated the software multiple times but has not attempted to assess the hardware. 3. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? no. 4. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? drivers side door buttons periodically do not illuminate and do not operate windows or locks. Vehicle cannot be locked at times, or only passenger side doors can be locked. Key fob and manufacturer app only work to lock the vehicle sometimes. Issues began approximately July 2022 and have repeated intermittently. Issues seem to be occurring more frequently and for longer. Issues have been particularly frequent and long lasting in the last week; vehicle last serviced at the dealer approximately 12/22/2022.
The contact owns a 2023 Volvo Xc60. The contact stated that the vehicle would fail to recognize the key fob. Due to this failure, the vehicle would fail to start after multiple attempts as the key fob warning message would appear on the instrument panel as well as a warning chime. The contact also stated that her coolant warning light had appeared on the instrument panel. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer where they placed a thermostat inside the vehicle which led to the light disappearing. The contact stated that despite a software update being performed on the vehicle, the key fob failure persisted. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 300.
Infotainment system quits working or will not boot up.
The screen does not come on, so no heat, no safety stuff, no reverse camera and no sensors. All the above adas features do not work either. This is definitely a safety hazard, which I think traces back to the vehicle operating system. Details reported to Volvo in this tweet--> https://twitter. Com/ameyaroskar/status/1608642311923339266?t=cul77cpdg6qwip8ajqetyq&s=19.
When I go to start the car the car does not start. . . . A warning comes on saying "vehicle key not being detected" see owners manual the key is sitting on the console when I start it. It took me 3 times before it started . I left a gym in the morning hours and it wouldn't start when I came out . . . Same warning came on. . This has happened 4 times in a 3 month period. Has been in service 4 times. This is a big safety issue I don't want to keep driving this car it cannot be trusted. It's not reliable. When it's in service they cannot replicate it and they told me the first time it was the battery . The next time they said it may need an update . They just don't know. Brought it in 4 th time , now they're saying the farb goes into sleep mode and thats why it doesn't start the car!!! that so untrue. They looking for things because they can't find a fix. It"s inconsistent . I'm afraid I am going to be stranded somewhere . I have a baby in the car and on the road alot going long distances . This is outrageous not safe ! inspected by service and they confer with Volvo. The coolant light came on in the first week and they had to change out the thermosat. The air bag warning light came on recently . These problems don't replicate for service but I have videos and pics . I am looking for a buy back and my downpayment back this is so stressful and so many inconveniences for a brand new car cannot be trusted.
Initially the center tablet would blackout while I’m backing out of my driveway, I put in reverse. Camera works. I back out and camera completely turns off. Not an issue with dirty camera as it comes in and off. Several times while I’m driving the entire instrument panel blacks out! it’s happened 5x in the last two months and I don’t drive much. I have taken to the dealer and told Volvo by emails and chat features and no one seems concerned. They could not see it happen while they drove it so they are not worried. I don’t feel safe in this car. Safety was the only reason I chose Volvo. Also the radio makes weird sounds, repaired twice lane assist is not working properly and they are not fixing it, braking system wasn’t working but they thankfully did a recall and fixed that. This car does not hold steady while driving despite the lane assist and all the fancy features I expected was working when purchased.

The google/android (ihu) electrical system controls the entire car: brakes, engine, safety features, ac/heat, etc. It is unreliable after 4 repair attempts. Problems started date of delivery (9/6/22) & have been ongoing. The ones that directly affect safety are the auto braking activating without cause, blind spot warning missing motorcycles, lane keeping will pull car towards a hazard in middle of road when you swerve to avoid it and the google/android system in general malfunctioning. I live in south florida and I can assure you that air conditioning is a safety concern, especially in people like me who have medical conditions in which excessive heat exposure can result in an er visit. My ac has failed upon starting the car as well as following the rebooting of the google/android system. The rebooting of the system must be done whenever the system malfunctions & it is wise to pull off the road to do it because everything but engine shuts down during the procedure. I have had to do this several times sitting off the side of the road & the system still wasn't working. It is not safe to have to pull off road so frequently. The automatic braking was particularly frightening, as both I and the car in front of me were both slowing for a stoplight, there was at least 5 car lengths between us & the distance between us was not narrowing. My car suddenly braked. Had someone been close behind me they would likely have rear-ended my car. They might have also assumed I brake-checked them & reacted with anger. Requested Volvo corporate involvement for 4th repair attempt & ihu was replaced. System began malfunctioning again, but blind spot worked. The google system is apparently unstable, as the 2nd loaner car's backup camera & cross traffic warning froze & failed to alert. Dates: 9-6-22 to 1-25-23 (date they took car for repair try #5). About 4000 miles on it. Volvo says they can't replicate concerns. I have video of some malfunctions & sent to dealer.
On October 12, 2022 while driving home from the schar cancer center in fairfax, my 2012 Volvo Xc60 experienced an end of life event. My check engine light came on when I entered my neighborhood. The car began sputtering and the gas pedal was delayed and at times, unresponsive. I was able to make it to my house and made an appointment to service my Volvo. My Volvo was towed to gt peace automotive on November 6. The three-week delay was due to their backlog of work. They are a trusted repair service and have provided service to all my vehicles over the past four years. The attached document indicates their assessment. Highlights include that the Volvo was a fire hazard in its current condition, the ignition coils were melted, and the circuits are shorted. Gt peace provided an estimate of $3,500 for repairs as a starting point to fully replace the engine harness. Their evaluation concluded that, based on other findings, the cost would easily go north of $3,500, possibly to $5,500. Based on this assessment and the carfax history based value of my vehicle (private party value of $10,170), it was in my best interest to donate the vehicle. I gave it to the auto tech program at centreville high school on November 9, 2022.

Rainwater leaked into front of vehicle and settled in undercarriage causing a short in the passenger side airbag and error message for gear selector. The warning light for the airbag lit up. The vehicle has been inspected by a dealership and the cause of the problem was a clog in the drainage system under the windshied. The clog was redirecting water down into the vehicle and destroyed the main wiring harness. My passenger's safety was at risk because the airbag malfunctioned during driving. Other components could have also shorted out. The ability of the rainwater to drain into the vehicle's electrical components is the result of poor water drainage design and could be remedied easily.
The headlights malfunctioned two weeks after I purchased the vehicle. The center control panel electronics that controls heating and cooling, the phone, etc failed suddenly and without warning while I was on the highway. There have been multiple problems with this vehicle since I purchased it on September 19. It has been in the shop for about 15 days. A propulsion system warning appeared without warning while I was driving the car. The battery drained for unknown reasons while plugged in to charge. This is not a safe car. It is controlled by an electronics system and software that are not reliable, leaving me at risk of being in an accident or stranded somewhere. I have read that some of these vehicles go into "turtle mode" and won't go over about 5mph after the propulsion system warning has appeared. I do not want to be driving this on a highway and lose all acceleration. I do not want to stop at a rest stop at night and have my car not start. There is clearly something quite wrong with the operating software and electronics that this vehicle depends upon. It is quite apparent that Volvo's nascent software development team has adopted the "move fast and break things" philosophy espoused by many software companies. The key distinction here is that when my computer software crashes, I am sitting at my desk chair. With an automobile, the crash could very well happen at 65 mph or with me stuck in some remote location. The idea that Volvo would roll out a product so miserably deficient of basic capabilities is mendacious.
A/c failed to turn on. This is the second time this has occurred. It was on a 100 degree texas day. I was already in the vehicle and it was so hot in the vehicle I was worried about a heat stroke. It caused a distraction while driving because the electrical components weren’t functioning as intended potentially causing an accident. The 2022 models have known electrical issues and the dealership was not surprised. The vehicle is currently in the shop.
The car is only a few months old with less than 10k miles. After parking the car for about 2 hrs, came back and the battery was completely dead. This left me and my family stranded unexpectedly. After jumping the car, a warning displayed "stop safely, 12 v battery critical charging fault". I decided to try to make the short drive home as I was stranded with my family otherwise, the vehicle was in a limp home "turtle mode" which was not safe. The acceleration was surging unexpectedly and without warning. I realize that there was a warning not to drive, however I didn't have a lot of good options given the electrical failure. Also, in thinking back, there was a warning sometime in the last month regarding collision detection that needed to be fixed, but warning went away. In researching this issue online, seems that there are other complaints similar in nature (11472450, 11469166).
Car will not start because of ecall and sos system malfunctioning. Car will only start with key in cupholder (where secondary reader is located). Possible tcam issue or 12v battery issue.
Started car after driving an hour, and having it sit 2. 5 hours. Center panel was very dim and no air out of vents despite leaving air on when turned off. Error message that cooling infotainment system. Audio sound for turn signal also not working had to drive/leave. Left and found somewhere safe to pull over turn car off and sit. After 10+min no change. Drove home 60miles with no ac, cruise control or other safety features, or sounds w blinkers. At home, the beeeping for 360 camera and red/orange lights to help backup/part not functioning. The backup light was. Car felt a little jerky during trip. After 4+ hours it appeared to be functioning. When restarted car is 5-6 weeks old with 346 miles on it including the 100+ from Saturday. Did not make a planned drive Sunday as did not feel it was safe. Verified all software/apps up to date vm left for service on Saturday will follow up on opening today.
Brand new vehicle that I brought home 18 days ago. Went to start car this morning and it had zero power. The fob didn't work so I couldn't get into my car. Tow truck driver jump started car successfully. Fortunately, I instructed the driver to take it to the dealership anyway because there was no reason for the new vehicle to have a dead battery. I had left the car running and returned to it after chatting with driver. At some point a warning message appeared on the display reading "stop safely. 12v battery critical charging fault. " if I had driven off after the car was jump started -- as I have always done before -- the vehicle could have gone into a serious fail mode that would have endangered me and those around me. Prior to this event, I had a few minor electrical glitches that I ignored because I thought they were either user error or my imagination. For example the sensors were reporting that I was driving too closely to another vehicle but there was no other vehicle around me -- any where. I have read Volvo forums and understand this has happened to other people and there have been even more significant electrical problems that could have ended badly. I've been trying to find information about Volvo addressing the issues. But I have not even seen that they have acknowledged the problem. This is a dangerous car. Please, investigate these issues. Look at the driver forums to help assess the issue. I am still waiting for a response from the service department and will provide more details as I get them.
On June 30, 2022 our Volvo Xc60 was driven at high speed on I-80 in western ne at dusk in heavy truck traffic before a holiday weekend. With semi’s on 3 sides, and no warning, the vehicle lost complete power. Driver fought the rapidly slowing car out of the left lane and limped onto right shoulder dodging semi’s. Scary. Only a turtle ?? icon appeared on the dash. Online owner’s manual was not avail. There was no response to pressing on call or sos buttons. Using a phone, the Volvo website said the turtle meant “reduced engine performance” told us nothing new. Stuck in nowhere land without any help, turned the engine off, waited 10 min. Restarted the engine which then appeared in normal op. Turtle had disappeared. Cautiously eased back onto I-80. 20 minutes later, now in wy, the power failed again. This time a yellow engine icon showed on the dash. Using hazard flashers, driver again moved to right shoulder and turned off the car. Again no response from call buttons. A call to dealership in IL said it was closed and the dealer showroom in CO said to drop off the vehicle that night. Restarted and tried again in the dark. Near cheyenne, Volvo lost power 3rd time. An engine outline icon appeared. No help…made it to ft collins. We flew back home leaving a disabled Volvo at ft collins dealer whose service rep said the “car was unsafe“ and not having a definitive cause after they ran diagnostics, asked if we wanted to “file a case with the company”, and ordered a replacement fuel pump in hope it solves the problem. We immediately asked the case be filed and again 3 days later. By soliciting help from an IL Volvo dealership owner, we learn the case was not filed (never happened), and only maybe? the fuel pump is bad. We are now 11 days without a car which will need to be transported somehow back to us. Meanwhile we are 970 miles away, doubting this car’s safe operation, and without confidence in the quality of technical service at fort collins dealer.
The google android automotive operating system is unstable. It will reboot while driving. During this time all settings and functions of the car including safety systems are rebooted as well. For about 30-60 seconds the cars systems are unavailable even the hvac. I’ve had it serviced twice and they have been unable to fix the issue. The cars data/cell connection also does not work and is required for the sos and Volvo on call systems. It is currently at the dealership with no estimated time of when they can fix as they have exhausted all possible ways to fix. A case is active with Volvo to work to find the issue to the problem. They replaced the cars modem but data is still not working and updated the software but the glitches and issues with the android automotive remain.
