I just recently bought this car. And there was a vibration and a pull to the right so I brought it back to the dealer which is echo park of tampa. I said they needed to do the alignment and balance and they did that and it still is doing all the same things and the shaking is progressively becoming quickly I experienced this exact same thing in my Mazda that also had continentals on it. And brought it back to the dealer four times in 9 months and they put brand new set of continentals on every time and the same shaking would quickly reoccur. And shortly after I traded that Mazda in the tires were recalled. Experiencing the same exact symptoms with my Volvo with these continental tires these are eco technology cross contact 235 55 r19 (105v) there's no specific incident nor a specific tire. This is every time (all tires) you get in the car from every mile per hour from the second you start moving to 70 or 80 and the shaking is getting progressively worse. I will be contacting continental cuz I'm not sure if these are even added on the recall list but they need to be. It's scary driving especially since I nearly died in an auto accident because of a tire blow out.

Catastrophic blowout failure of primewell valera touring tire purchased from firestone in jackson, ms, on 06/14/2016. Blowout occurred on 07/03/2017 while wife was driving on I-55. We have put less than 12k miles on these tires and, now, do not feel safe. Possible damage to car (Volvo Xc90). Wife stranded over July 4th holiday in louisiana because firestone is closed. After initially telling us that the tires would be replaced free because there was a recall, firestone now says we will have to pay for new tires because our tires are not being recalled. Extremely frustrating.

Michelin cross terrain with < 39k miles on 2008 Volvo Xc90 had a tread separation at interstate highway speed during busy downtown traffic nearly creating an accident for me and two of my children. Vehicle damage caused solely by the tire flailing the right rear of my vehicle exceeded $3500. Tread completely separated from the steel belts as a continuous ring. Tread lugs can be pulled away by hand from the lower rubber they appear to be bonded to and this underneath ring of rubber had very cleanly pulled away from the belts. Tire remained inflated. Evidence of impending failure was noted as I was feeling vibration from the tire for 30 minutes prior to catastrophic failure and had even stopped to inspect the wheel for a probable cause. Photo documentation available. Internet searching is clearly showing that, for this model tire, this is a common occurrence. Does anybody remember the over 250 deaths attributed to the tread separation of bridgestone tires on Ford explorers? I do.

We own a 2006 Volvo Xc90. It came with pirelli tires which lasted less than 17,000 miles. Tires were replaced, partly by Volvo, but lasted only 20,000 miles. So, two complete sets of tires and the car has only 37,000 miles. I have no choice but to replace them.

My 2003 Volvo Xc90 has been to the dealer several times including over 3 times for same problem when I purchased the vehicle in 2006. All recalls have been fixed, front axle, wipers etc. I have purchased 4 sets of tires, tires boston Volvo installed and my 17 year old son received a complete blow out because wrong size tires. I continue taking to same dealer and since owning the car have had the same noises in front of car. Boston Volvo has stated in October and since owning the vehicle can find nothing wrong, April diagnosed with need new drive shaft after having car for 2 days but could not really fine anything but drive shaft. A strong fuel smell stated fuel pump does not need to be corrected. I need new muffler and taking to my own mechanic the real issue is transmission service urgent and need new transmission. Volvo did not diagnose this problem and my son is driving the car! my son is driving a lemon that is a danger to himself. Taking to Volvo does nothing, they cannot even diagnose and give wrong info given to me. I am currently up to over $8,000 in damages and still owe on this lemon. I need new transmission, muffler, still car vibrates and front end noises from whining, thumping etc.

I have a 2006 Volvo Xc90 SUV with only 21000 miles on it and the pirelli scorpion tires 235/65 r17 are worn out. Dealership has said they would replace them at 60%. I would have to pay the 40%. If the tires are not up to standards and wear out again I would expect a full 100% replacement. Old tread wear warranty deal. Seems this is a major problem for Volvo and pirelli tires, lots of complaints but little action from Volvo or pirelli. Each blame the otherãƒâ¢ã‚ã‚â¦tires are too soft, front end toe setting are wrong, blaa blaa. Can you look into this issue? let them know someone is out there watching them and this could be a killer for someone, SUV with bad tires. Thanks jesse j. Quinnett.
I brought my 2005 Xc90 in for routine maintenance at 25,500 miles. At that time, it was determined three of the four tires were worn on the outer edges and should be replaced. This is unacceptable for a vehicle to have three of its tires replaced within the first 25k miles of service. Something is obviously wrong with either the tires or the vehicle dynamics.

Outside edge of tires wear out after 15,000 miles. An internet search indicates this is a very common problem.
Multiple failures; door lock, tires were worn to the cord. * bf the lug nuts were replaced because they were rusted when the vehicle was delivered, the doors did not fit properly, the radio failed, the key would not turn in the ignition, the left rear door could not be opened due to the problem with the seat molding and the tire displayed unusual wear and were worn smooth to the cord. The lug nuts that were installed rusted again. (tires/perrilli scorpian).
I have had numerous failures with my 1990 Volvo: I am on my third set of tires, and I have 30,000 miles. I have had several shock absorbers replaced ,a tie rod break, and many electrical problems.
Original equipment tires on my 2004 Volvo Xc90 (michelin hxmxm4's) are frightening. They offer very little traction in the best conditions; in the rain, unintended lane changes are common due to sliding.
