I brought a 2021 Xc90 Volvo on 8/18/2022 with 12861 miles on it. The attached photo will show the current mile on the vehicle is 17421, so you can see I have only put 4560 miles on the vehicle. This vehicle was only brought 3 months ago. It's very concerning that I was driving down interstate 530 on Sunday 11/13/2022 and for the first time ever the low-pressure light comes on and then seconds later the vehicle starts the shakes and I almost lost control of the vehicle. I managed to get to the side of the highway to find that my back passenger rear tire had separated around the rim (pictures are attached). Perelli 275/40 r21 107v m+s scorpion verde all season.

- the contact owns a 2005 Xc90 Volvo. The contact stated that there was a safety recall on the vehicle which was issued may 3 2006. She was not notified of the safety recall until she took the vehicle to dealer for scheduled maintenance in January 2007. The contact believed that the problems she currently had with the tires having uneven wear and wearing down to the indicators, and cracked tread were caused by the defect stated in safety recall 06v155000. The recall stated that the outer tie rod ball joint could deform at high loads causing a loss of the clamping force ,and the nut may loosen, which may eventually lead to a fatigue fracture of the outer tie rod ball joint. The contact stated that the tires currently have 17,000 miles, the failure mileage was 12000. The contact would like to have the tires replaced by the manufacturer. The tires wearing were due to the recall. Updated 03/19/07.

I own a Volvo Xc90 t6 awd. This car has had problems with the twin turbo-chargers, the warning lights, a tire blowout, vibrations in the steering wheel, alignment issues, short circuit in the driver's side control panel, poor fit and finish of the driver side door panel and a host of other fit and finish problems. The momentum Volvo dealership in houston, texas and Volvo north America service representative denied any problems being a serious or recurring problem. This all took place in a span of less than 10 months for a brand new vehicle. The car spent more time in the shop than in our possession initially. The dealership continued to fix the recurring problems and denied any chronic issues existed. I wish to alert NHTSA in the event any other owner of Volvo xc 1990 has similar complaints or a tragedy occurs as a result of the problems I have listed.
