1 Driveshaft problem of the 2003 Acura CL

Failure Date: 09/26/2019

Tl-the contact owns a 2003 Acura Cl. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, there was a abnormal noise (grinding) while the contact foot was on the accelerator and the vehicle shuts off. The contact managed to veer to the shoulder of the road and placed the vehicle in park turn it off and back on to resume back to normal. The vehicle was taken to a indepdnted mechanic who diagnoses the vehicle and determined that the sensor for the cable drive shaft 3 and 4 gear failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, however, the failure recurred. The contaftc meindted that NHTSA campaign:04v176000(power train) as a possible solution of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure informed the contact that no recall was under the VIN and provided the contact with case number (10011555). The failure mileage was approxmently 1,054.
