Brakes Failed Problems of Acura MDX

Tl- the contact owns a 2016 Acura Mdx. The contact stated that while driving approximately 15 mph to make a right turn, the brake pedal failed to respond and the contact crashed into a parked vehicle. The front passenger side air bag deployed. The driver was a bit shaken up by the incident but was not injured. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed by the insurance company to the dealer rallye Acura, 1750 northern blvd, roslyn, NY 11576, (516) 625-7070 who was notified of the crash. They refused to inspect and diagnose the cause of the brake failure indicating that because the air bag had deployed, that the computer system was not available to be accessed to provide a technical analysis. The insurance company was to repair the collision damages. The manufacturer had not issued any brake system recalls for this year, make and model but had issued 6 TSB on the brake system. The manufacturer was notified of the crash and the contact was waiting on a technical response for testing, diagnosis, repair and was uncertain if they had developed a remedy. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. Dyd.

Backing out from parking spot , steering locked up , brakes failed and car kept moving despite maximum application of brakes. Had to turn the power off to stop the car .

2008 Acura Mdx - took delivery of this new vehicle on July 1, 2008 from sunnyside Acura dealership in nashua nh. Vehicle had 14 miles on it. At approximately 30 miles brakes failed. Took vehicle back to dealership and they determined that there was contaminated brake fluid in reservoir and entire braking system must be replaced. As restitution, Acura replaced my vehicle with a new one. Dealership admitted that other new Acura vehicles on lot contained contaminated brake fluid. Due to Acura's decision to replace vehicle without complaint and there need for this to go away quietly, this may be a larger more macro issue and could potentially impact other innocent victims.

On two different occasion the abs made a clunking noise. The dealer inspected the vehicle but could not duplicate or correct the problem. The brake problems had come back again. The dealer found a brake switch failure code. The dealer attempted to repair the problem but it remained the same.
