February 2020 going downhill at 30mph on a curved road, and my wheel snaps to the right thanks to recalled ball joints!!!!!!!!! hit the curb, snapped my rotor in half and the brake line. Lower control arm went thru my cradle. Spinning out of control with no steering and no freaking brakes at all. Out of nowhere! totaled suspension all the way around. Only freakin airbag to go off was the passenger window airbag. Whole car was fucked because of manufactor issues! sounds like Acura should replace my freaking car. Oh wait. . I did. And today the one im driving right now randomly had the power steering explodeeeeee and I almost got hit by a semi while turning and randomly losing steering out of nowhere once again!! which fried my cooling fan, and overheated my motor on my attempt to drive home with no power steering. . . . So yeah. Never buying another Acura again,.

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Acura Tl. The contact stated that that there was an abnormal noise when the wheel was turned in either direction. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer maguire Honda of ithaca, 315 elmira rd, ithaca, NY 14850, 607-273-1926 who had initially indicated that the front axles had corrosion, the front axles had been replaced due to a grinding and popping noise in the front of the vehcle but the faiure continued. The next repair of the carrier bearing failed to provide a permanent fix as well. The contact notified the dealer several times that the multiple repairs had failed to fix the problem because the abnormal noise continued. The contact had a warranty however the dealer had not verified if the vehicle may be repaired by a warranty. The manufacturer was notified of the failures to determine if they may be able to provide a remedy for the dealers repair. The manufacturer had issued 1 TSB on steering, 1 recall for the steering and 1 recall for the suspension. The approximate failure mileage was not available. Dyd.

Rear suspension noise when going over speed bumps or potholes at lower speeds. Noise is more prominent when its a sudden hard hit on potholes and speed bumps. It sounds like metal hitting metal. It sounds more like when control arm bushing goes bad and it makes metal on metal sound. I took it to Acura dealership and they said rear struts are the problem. They replaced both rear struts but problem still persisted. They then said they need to replace the links. But later decided not to because they did not think links were the problem. They then said mounting plates need to be replaced. They replaced them but problem was still not fixed. Dealership said they cant do anymore work on the car without authorization from Acura corporation. They contacted Acura corporation and was told by Acura to drive a similar car to replicate the problem to figure out if its a normal noise for these cars. I have not heard back from the dealership about the findings. I have not been able to drive my car for almost 10 days now not counting the prior attempts of fixing it. I have driven Honda cars for the last 10 years and never experienced a problem like this. The problem could be with the control arm bushings or sway bars. But dealership says they are fine. After reading online forums and complaints, this seems to be a widespread issue that may require a recall. I am hoping dealership can figure out this problem and Acura fixes this possibly a safety issue soon.

The contact owns a 2004 Acura Tl. After exiting the highway and pulling into a store parking lot, the vehicle was briefly parked. Upon restarting the vehicle and depressing the accelerator pedal, there was an abnormal noise and the vehicle was unable to be driven. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the lower control arm prematurely fractured, which caused the entire axle to fracture. The independent mechanic diagnosed that the axle, ball joints, and lower control arm needed to be replaced. The contact was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 11e022000 (suspension). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided no remedy. The approximate failure mileage was 200,897.
Pronounced "clunk" noise coming from rear of car at low speeds - between 15-40 mph. This is a consistent issue that many people have reported in various Acura Tl, tsx, and Honda accord internet forums. Many people like myself have take the car back to the dealer multiple times to have the issue researched and they either say it is "normal" (as if it is a characteristic of the car) or there is no issue. Have claimed that everything in the rear suspension is "firm" or "solid", yet the issue still remains. I have never been in a car that had such a noise when driving over street cracks, speed bumps, etc. As I said, numerous people have reported this across the internet, yet no action that I can determine either from Acura or Honda. I am worried that there is a safety issue that is being ignored.
Took the car into Acura there was a "clunking noise" in front end and could be felt in steering wheel the tech had to retighten the suspension bolts the noise and feeling in wheel returned at approx. 23000 miles took the car back back to Acura the service rep stated suspension bolts should be retorqued at every oil change this does not sound right. . I never owned a car that needed this repair and just want to know if this is normal and could be a safely issue after tech retorqued the bolts the noise and feeling in wheel goes away but returns and has returned.
