While driving in humid, rainy conditions for over five hours, I experienced a sudden and dangerous loss of acceleration. Moisture appears to have built up, resulting in a misfire and a flashing mil/check engine light. This occurred while I was overtaking another vehicle just before entering a restricted-width construction zone, making the situation extremely hazardous. The complete loss of acceleration lasted for about a minute. Afterward, I was only able to maintain minimal speed by flooring the accelerator. I continued in this limited-power mode until I could safely exit the highway. After shutting off the vehicle for 10 minutes, I restarted it, and it operated normally. After researching this issue, I found active recalls and service bulletins describing this exact behavior, including: NHTSA recall number: 25v-031 Acura campaign number: el1 service bulletin number: 25-010 additionally, an earlier bulletin describes identical symptoms: service bulletin number: 20-053 (version 4, dated March 12, 2024) despite these matches, my VIN does not show any active recalls or bulletins. When I brought the car into the dealership to address this issue under the bulletin, they informed me they could not perform any service since my VIN was not listed. Given the severity of what occurred, I am requesting urgent assistance in updating or reviewing the recall eligibility for my vehicle. I would like to prevent this issue from recurring, especially in dangerous conditions. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your prompt response.

I was driving on the freeway and I heard something explode followed by a clanking noise. The oil light and battery light came on simultaneously and I could not accelerate. I immediately pulled over and noticed that all the oil drained out of the car. When I got a chance look under the vehicle there was a hole in the oil pan. A mechanic said that it had happened from the inside. Possibly something from the motor broke off and shot out of my oil pan.

I was driving on a main road stopped at an intersection and my car suddenly stopped it shifted my car to neutral I had to restart the car and drove home . I went online and started reading about that problem comes out to be it’s a fuel pump recall . I then look up my VIN number and it says that there is no recall for it but I find it hard to believe because it’s having the same exact symptoms . Thank you have a blessed day.

The contact owns a 2018 Acura Tlx. The contact stated the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 23v751000 (engine and engine cooling), for a possible failure with the connecting rod, and the vehicle was repaired. Approximately 2-3 years after the recall repair, while driving 65 mph, the vehicle started losing motive power while accelerating. The contact coasted to the side of the road and became aware of oil leaking from the vehicle. There were several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle with 4 blown pistons, causing the engine to fail. The contact stated that the previous recall stated that the engine would be replaced as needed. The dealer informed the contact that the engine was no longer covered because the vehicle exceeded the mileage and time limitations. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.

I was driving on the freeway for about 5 minutes and literally out of no where my car began to make a strange noise and then my engine light came on. Following that my car shut off and I immediately lost power I pulled over as best I can and turn my hazard on eventually the car died because I couldn’t get a tow out fast enough and I’ve had it sitting at a shop ever since this incident. . Tell.
My 17 year old son drove across town about 6-7 miles from home, on a back road. Out of nowhere, his 2015 Tlx started to make a sound like knocking or thumping. Just moments afterwards, most if not all of the engine warning lamps illuminated at once. . He pulled off as best he could there was a loss of power and massive amounts of steam pouring out from the under hood. At sunrise I went to the car to wait for aaa I was astonished at the mess on the pavement under and around the car, and even more surprised to hear from my mechanic told that the engine had seized. I remember my mechanic using the word "warped" to describe it to me. I had him replace the engine, as I was I unaware of the recall at that time. It was not inspected by anyone besides my mechanic.
There are two outstanding recalls on my vehicle, and I have been unable to get scheduled for these repairs with motorcars Acura in bedford, ohio. I have been told for almost a year, that I was on a waiting list, and that I should continue to call them for availability. I would like to know what type of resolution there will be going forward, if the dealer is unable to perform these repairs in a timely manner. I am starting to feel concern with driving my vehicle safely.
The contact owns a 2016 Acura Tlx. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 23v751000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
The recall impacting my fuel injection has not been fixed since 2023 I have been waiting. I was told parts are available now and would be called by someone but that has been more than a month ago.
The engine failed and lost all power to the car. It is available for inspection. My safety was put at risk because if I was going on a freeway and freeway speeds I probably would have crash and potentially crash into other people, causing a huge safety issue. The problem has been confirmed by dealer. They said it is very possible the engine rod bearing could have caused this. This is being inspected by Acura. Prior to failed there were no warning lamps or indicators. They all turned on once the car died.
Three years ago, the car started stalling at traffic lights coming to a stop battery was replaced and the problem went away. A new battery was installed a few months ago and in the last week the same stalling situation has occurred three times. Acura says there’s a software update, and when the car was brought in for the recall on the connecting rod bearings, they said they refreshed the software pertaining to this issue, but obviously it does not work others say that it has to do with the idle stop and that disabling it resolves this problem. I haven’t tested this yet, but I am going to, but it’s an ongoing problem. That’s a major safety concern and could cause a fatal accident.
The contact owns a 2016 Acura Tlx. The contact stated while starting at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal knocking sound coming from the engine. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that while her son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power. There was no warning illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the long block and the torque converter were replaced. The contact later received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 23v751000 (engine and engine cooling). The contact made the manufacturer aware of the failure and filed a claim for reimbursement; however, the claim was denied because the recall was related to engine damage from connecting rod bearing wear. The approximate failure mileage was 136,141.
My daughter was driving her car to work. Well in the middle of rush hour traffic the car put itself in neutral and then would not move and all of the lights were displayed on the dashboard as if the car was turned off. The car would not go into gear to move forward. She put the car in park and then shut the engine off. The engine shuttered and the car shook while it turned off. He then tried to start it and then started again and it started up okay and was able to put the car in drive and move forward. I spoke to my mechanic and he said that there is a recall on this car for fuel pump issues. I checked the VIN and it said that there was no open recall. However I wanted to report this incident to document it for this particular car because it could have a fuel pump issue.
I've received the recall notice for my car about 2 years ago. I've tried to schedule time with the dealership to get it fixed but they just keep telling me they don't have the parts or I have to wait till something "bad" happens first for them to prioritize me. This seems really unsafe and bad practice. I've reached out to Honda and they have open a case to review this but has not gotten back to me since. The car has stall once and a few times during the engine shut off while stopping, it takes a moment for the engine to come back, not normally like when I got the car. There has been a few time that there were cracking noise while I was driving. I stop driving the car as much as I can to avoid an accident happening. Please help me get some resolution with Honda, it's been almost 2 years.
I understand Honda isn't doing soo well so I hope this is added to the list of the feds research we just bought this Tlx aspec don't understand how these cars need to be 4000lbs but anyway the gas mileage advertised is not what you get I've seen on multiple forms people are saying they experience 13 mpg and on a cylinder engine that is just not acceptable 2 hear grinding noises in our drive train that the dealership doesn't hear unless it shows up in a scan tool 3 the engine has very loud valve tapping sound the tail tips have alot of black soot on them also evident of too lean gas mixture 200 dollars in gas in 8 days of owning this new car the transmission also has a mind of its own in sport mode reving the motor to 2 and 3k rpm all by itself and staying there till I tap on the gas pedal a few times and no the rug is not interference with the pedal it's all these companies going to electrical sensors instead of a cable that goes from the pedal to the throttle body like it should have always stayed. Getting rid of this thing as soon as possible soo the fed should also look at the newer ones . . . .

The car would go in acc mode while parked and running and warning lights would appear on the dash (pictured below). While parked and running, the car also accelerates up & down. I can visibly see the acceleration meter moving before the car goes into acc. Also, while in the drive the car would go in neutral mode. I’ve called several dealerships and I have been put on a “waiting list” and have not heard back. At this point I’m scared for the safety of my children and 1. I have a 4 year old & currently 8 months pregnant. I’m not sure how to rectify this situation. It happens randomly but has been occurring more frequently.
Oil pump seal leaking, was leaking prior to rod bearing recall repair, Acura didn't recommend nor replace during recall, engine is smoking, also at night, lane keep assist repeatly steers towards passing vehicle headlights almost causing head-on collision, extremely scary, this is ridiculous and I'm stuck with vehicle being I'm upside down on loan, absolutely a nightmare!!!! contacted dealership that completed recall and was given run around so I called Acura and they spoke with dealer, dealer waived diagnostic fee, but are charging for parts n services which I can't afford. And, I no longer trust them under my hood so unsure of what to do!!! this is my hard earned money at work!!!.
The contact owns a 2016 Acura Tlx. The contact stated while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle was shaking abnormally. The check engine warning light illuminated. Hi, I’m having issues with my fuel pump / engine and I seen online there was a previous recall for this issues regarding my year make and model but when I search my VIN it’s not included? not sure why when I’m having issues related to that exact recall. I believe it can be related. I took it to Acura and they want to charge me 5,000 dollars for repair. I have a 2018 Acura Tlx 3. 5 v6 which is stated in this photo attached. Can I get some more clarification please? I’m having all issues notated on the photo. Regarding car idle, fuel issues, stalling and more. My car slid into neutral while I was driving twice! super scary. When I took it to Acura they diagnosed everything that was in the recall? not sure why my vehicle isn’t included when it’s very obviously related.

I am from philadelphia PA and I was driving my car on a highway in rural wv and the engine stalled while driving. I was lucky enough that no other cars were around and I was able to veer the car off the road into a parking lot. The car would not re-start. I had to tow my vehicle to a local mechanic shop who could not help. I was stranded out of state on a holiday weekend with no Acura in a 2 hour radius. I ended up renting a u-haul and towing the car 8 hours from wv back to a local Acura in philadelphia. Acura replaced the engine due to the known re-call but refused to cover the cost of the tow or u-haul.
My engine is starting to make a knocking/ticking noise, related to this recall. Very unuasal for a car with 65k miles. My local Acura dealers continue to tell me their waiting on parts??? both recalls are almost 1 years old. How long should a consumer wait for a known manufacturers defect?.
Transmission jerks at low speeds, car jerks when it is downshifting. The car only has 14,000 miles. Dealership refusing to do any work due to car not having any codes. The car feels like it is having a misfire.

Bakersfield Acura don't have a answer yet when they are going to fix the recall.
Transmission fails mid drive on freeway. Multiple vehicles had to avoid the possibility of horrific collision. Vehicle has lost engine power and will not exceed 60mph. I have. Check in with a facebook Acura group and more the. 2,000 members had the same issue. All Acuras from 2016 to 2023 had failed transmissions at 10k miles to 45k miles.
The contact owns a 2020 Acura Tlx. While the contact’s wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact stated that several unknown warning lights illuminated. In addition, the vehicle shut off in the middle lane of a major highway. The contact's wife received assistance from a nearby truck driver. The contact stated that because of the assistance from the truck driver, the contact's wife was able to avoid additional dangers. The vehicle started and the vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the cause of the failure had not been determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that previously the failure had occurred, and the vehicle was taken to the dealer several times. The contact stated that several unknown repairs were performed, and unknown recall repairs were completed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000. The VIN was unavailable.
See attached document for complaint.
I received two recalls and multiple notices saying the parts are not available for the recall. Over 6 months later I receive a notice the parts are finally available. I tried to make an appointment with my local dealer and was told they will not repair unless the check engine light is on. If what happens in the recall (fire, crash or injury), how will I be able to get the check engine light to come on? I'm afraid to drive the car because I don't want to be stranded, plus I don't want the car to catch fire, cause a crash or be injured. Why isn't Honda/Acura making the parts to correct this problem and why is the dealer not complying with the recall notices I'm receiving? on the Acura recall website, when I enter my vpn, it notes to please take immediate action to have your vehicle repaired but the dealer won't do it! as I'm looking at the additional details below. . . It appears that a fire, crash or injury needs to happen. Unbelievable!.
