Driving on the freeway. Going 65-70mph eps (electric power steering) indicator light came on. A message was also sent in inbox of car stating code such as 32 and 61. Steering wheel became stiff and was difficult to steer when car not moving. Went to auto zone to check out if there was any code and there was none. I change to a new battery and check steering fuse everything seem fine with charging system. I did research and found out there was many vehicle like mine that have the same issue. Also, look at Acura forums and some said there was a recall with the eps. Please help me figure out this issue. Thank you.

Check engine transmission abs vsa tpms all lights went on suddenly. While I was driving suddenly all lights came on dashboard. I’ve used obd scanner to find the root cause but the problem can’t be detected. I went to Acura dealer in NJ and paid $250. They inspected, and said it could be this instrument cluster or that ecu. But they did not said anything concrete what could be faulty. Both are expensive to replace around $2000-$4000 each the lights comes and goes. These lights are not persistent. I’ve been driving with it. Sometimes when the lights are on ac doesnt work, steering loses control for a second. When it loses control car swerves. It’s dangerous but I’ve been driving with caution ?? in past, electric power steering was malfunction and I had it replaced for $1500. I will never purchase Acura or Honda for lifetime it should be recalled.
The contact owns a 2007 Acura Tsx. The contact stated that upon attempting to start the vehicle, it failed to start. All warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the ecu, determining that corrosion had caused the component to fail. The vehicle was repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 13v093000 (engine and engine cooling, electrical system), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 170,000.

I purchased my 2013 Acura Tsx new. Since the date of purchase I have had the battery replaced 4 times including yesterday. On each occasion, the battery was drained due to the bluetooth module being defective. The dealer has confirmed the problem. This poses a substantial safety risk.

Eps, electronic power steering module failure. "check power steering system".
Was leaving my and steering wheel locked up.
This vehicle was taken in for a recall for a corrosive ecm. 1 hour prior to taking this vehicle in my assigned service writer gave me a call, your vehicle is ready for pick up. I was advised due to their visual inspection of the ecm( electronic control module)(electrical computer) not having corrosion, they will not change the unit but they have decided to replace the cover on the unit. I've filed a concerning complaint to Acura headquarters due to my knowledge of cars to have it on file what was told to me before receiving the vehicle. Due to my knowledge a faulty ecm can trigger numerous faults within the vehicles performance. Prior to bringing the vehicle to the dealership, I've been experiencing heavy misfires, poor radio connection, no interior lights and triggered headlights. I've replaced the necessary mechanics that would normal be the cause of these issues and the problem was still existing. The last option was the ecm, which fueled my search of a recall on these models for a faulty ecm. A few weeks later I've contacted another dealership in hopes they would take care of the problem, the representative was polite and reassured me the recall was suppose to be replaced with a new unit under manufacturer policy. However this could not be done because the previous dealer has marked the vehicle as a completed task. So I filed another complaint and have not received any further notice regarding my concern. A few weeks later I had the vehicle diagnosed and realized the ecm was never replaced nor removed out of the vehicle for inspection. Pictures and video where taken of this unit,as you can see the build up of dirt and dust from its original installment back in 2004. Later reading the review of that specific dealership, I've learned their has been numerous complaints regarding poor service at that locations service department.
My headlights always flicker and turn off everytime I drive within 5 minutes of driving. It gets really bad when I drive in cold/wet weather and I’ve replaced the bulbs a good 5 times. Something is wrong with my suspension I think? my vsc and warning light always automatically come and stay on and my car makes a noise everytime I turn/reverse. My car continues to start smoking when I drive, especifically on hot days and multiple mechanics have said I have a severe oil leak/power steering leak and I’ve gone to 3 within the last 6 months. So I’m not sure what to do and I seen the recalls on all of the things I listed above for my model of car just not specifically for my VIN number. Please help.
The contact owns a 2007 Acura Tsx. The contact stated that the emission warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle with a defective ecm/pcm due to salt corrosion. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 13v093000 (engine and engine cooling, electrical system). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
I have been driving my car a number of times and especially when its been raining my car would turn off and the lights would start flashing and the vsa control lights would come on. It scared the life out of me. Its happened on the highway a few times and regular driving on the roads. I have also been driving and depressed the accelerator and the accelerator seemed to stay pressed down. The car was in motion. There must be electrical issues, also my radio tends to stop working and then comes on randomly when it feels like it. I have asked Honda before and they said there was no recalls. There seems to many electrical problems connected to the vsa. I also found at times the carpets wet in the front and the car doesn't leak that I know of. I wish Acura would honor their recalls and not put peoples lives in danger. If something does happen. I want it documented and there will be action taken if they do not fix my issues.
Car last year began randomly displaying vsa code during inclement weather. Took vehicle for diagnostic and report showed aps sensor issues. Replaced acceleration pedal. Car then lost power steering. Replaced pump. Can began having loss of power while using cruise control and steering would stiffen. Yet, only during inclement weather while driving. The engine light with emmisions control warning would display and the clear on its on usually over night. Code diagnostics found possible 02 sensor or catalytic converter issues. Roughly six months later car cut off and wouldn't start replaced rack and pinion during to link at main connection. Car began having starting issues still then not holding charge replace battery twice due to b/s/a reporting pass. About 3 months ago car wouldn't turn over starter was faulty replaced starter. Replaced starter however igintion strained to turn over. To start it began requiring turning car to on then off and immediately to run. Began requesting jump starts. Ran diagnosis at advance auto showed battery issues, starter good and alternator good. Replaced battery and 02 sensor. Can three weeks wouldn't start after driving to the gas station attempted to jump vehicle but didn't work. Called roadside service; however when service arrived vehicle started with no assistance. Took car for diagnosis test and code displayed ecm issues. Car again after cutting vehicle on and attempting to start car up vehicle wouldn't turn over. Attempted to jump start vehicle and still no crank. Left car and returned 2 hours later and was able to jump start vehicle. Acura website I'd showing decals for emc and power steering recalls on 08 Tsx non VIN specific search however my specific VIN isnt included. How do I register my VIN for similar recall issues.

Immobilizer green key light will not go off. I have been troubleshooting and found corrosion in the pcm/ecm control unit that is under the center counsel. Salt-water soaked the carpeting and that corroded the frame of the unit and got inside and onto the circuit board. I checked for a recall and there is one for this model and year. It asked for the VIN # and it came back telling me it wasn't included in the recall. My question is why other VIN# is covered for this problem but mine is not. Corrosion is corrosion and the cause is a saltwater soaked carpeting next to the drivers gas pedal. Car was stationary, private drive and city street please explain.
The blue tooth has always been sounding staticky and I realized that under the steering wheel water falls threw when it's raining and accumulate or wets my feet while driving the car if it's raining.
My eps (electric power steering) module failed while I was merging to my right on to the highway on ramp. I was unable to stop due to the cars behind me and unable to pull over as the land sloped down into a retention pond. Now I'm a young men and was able to steer the car on the highway and pull off to the shoulder. I took my car to the mechanic and also did some research and found that the 2012-2014 Tsx have a reoccurring failure on the eps module happening around 75k miles ( I have about 100k). This recall wouldn't benefit me as I have already had the issue fixed, this is are the older women or man not strong enough to steer a car without powering steering and could potentially cause an accident ending in a catastrophic event. I feel that there is enough history with this problem to at least be investigated for the safety of drives.
When I driving the car, either street or highway , the car slows down or lose horsepower. I could be doing 60 on the highway and the car stalls on it's own almost shutting down.
While I was driving, the power steering malfunctioned and I almost got into a car accident as I could not turn my car. I was lucky but my life could have been in serious danger because of Acura. This is not a very old car and does not have a lot of mileage. The car had to be towed to a mechanic and said it would cost $1850 to fix. Ridiculous.
The contact owned a 2011 Acura Tsx. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked at his residence, a popping noise was heard as the contact went to investigate he found the vehicle on fire. The contact stated that it may have been an electric problem. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire. No fire department report was filed. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated before the incident. The vehicle has not been taken to local dealer. The vehicle had not been repaired as of yet. The contact stated that the vehicle was a total loss and the vehicle was still at his residence. The manufacturer has not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

On 11/19/19 my car was parked at a grocery store. When I got in to start it I got a flashing message regarding the electric power steering: 51. I couldn't really move the steering wheel and thankfully I was not driving. I had to had the car towed home. Upon looking into this I can see this has happened to a lot of people. The same year, make and model within the same mileage range as me. I have a 2011 Acura Tsx with 75,000 miles. There is no reason this should be happening, I have had every required maintenance. This is a safety issue and should be recalled. Acura needs to do the right thing and recall this so they can fix it. Why would anyone owing this car ever buy another Acura knowing that with no fault of their own this can happen to them. Needless to say I have an appointment on 01/02/2020. The dealership said there is a "bulletin" regarding this issue. They are clearly aware of this problem.
On 11/14/2019 took my car into bradshaw Acura dealer ship for the ecm/ pcm corrosin recall #13-014 and they refuse to due the recall even tho my ecu has corrosin on it and explained to the service advisor cory that I was driving the car and it stalled out. Took the car to my mechanic and everting is in good and working condition but when he looked at the ecu and saw all the corrosion. On it he said this has to be the problem and I told the service advisor this and they refuse to do the recall and replace the pcm.

When car is parked and off, and trying to lock/unlock doors with key fob (from outside) or from power locks (on the interior), the locks don't lock or unlock. This is a safety risk as it makes it easier for car break-ins to occur. Per dealer service department, the actuators have gone bad.
While driving and almost ending up in a accident to where I could injury myself or someone else my car immediately said check power steering and the steering wheel locked as well then the dealership chargers 1500. 00 just not safe and over priced repair to something that gives you know warning.
Two days ago I was driving Acura Tsx 2012 on the highway and all of a sudden I had a message warning check power steering and the drive wheel completely locked. It lasted a couple of minutes. Took the car to an Acura service center and had to replace the eso unit. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed with priority before people die or a tragedy happens. It is not being attended as it should as a high life threataming issue. Acura has the numbers of the replaced units and needs to take action. I expected more from a high quality company. What does it need in order to be called in recall, this is an anticipated death that can be avoided. . Please take immediately action!.
I have a 2012 Acura Tsx that has had no prior issues before this one. While driving on the highway my steering wheel locked up and the message check power steering came across the dash. The electronic power steering module failed causing my steering wheel to lock up. This was very dangerous as I no longer had control of the car and was unable to turn the wheel. I have seen at least 100 complaints of this issue happening to other owners while on the highway, in busy intersections, and while driving. I live in the upstate of south carolina and there is major road construction going on. This mean no emergencies lanes, only two lane and concrete dividers so there is no way to pull off the road. Therefore this is a fatal accident waiting to happen. This definitely needs to be checked out for a recall so that no one loses there life because Acura would rather keep charging people $1,500. 00 to fix it instead of reporting a recall for a faulty part.
I was driving on a side street, roughly 25mph when my power steering light came on and the vehicle's steering locked up. I pulled over and quickly read the manual, which said to restart the car and if the light goes off, the car is ok. After doing so, the car was steering as expected and I was able to return home safely. The car was fine for 2 days. The third morning, I am leaving for work and driving on a side street and the same thing happened - the light came on and the vehicle's steering seized, except this time restarting did not help. I tried several times before succumbing to the fact that it was not going to help. I had to leave my car in the street and uber to work, work with aaa and the local Acura dealership to get my car in for repair. It was the esp that had failed. With parts and labor the bill was $1,600. The car has 77k miles on it. This part should last at least to 100k, if not the life time of the vehicle. Luckily for me I was not on the highway, operating a vehicle with no steering is very scary and very dangerous. This is a serious issue that needs to be recalled by Acura before someone is killed. I bought an Acura because I trust them, their cars and their brand and I am incredibly disappointed in their lack of care and safety of their customers.
The problem: when it is hot the car start losing power, and vsa light comes up. Then the gauge cluster start doing intermittent shutdowns of the rpm and speedometer gauges. Additional to that, the a/c shut down and blow hot air. Acura diagnostic: john eagle Acura had the car to check the problem. During the test in hot temperature, they found there is a problem of ecu communication in the f-can. There are 3 main things that communicate with ecu though the f-can: one is the gauge cluster which I replaced, the second was the vsa modulator which was disconnected to test, and the third one was the radio system that was also disconnected, and the results were the same (damaged). According to Acura engineers, after proceeding with all these steps the solution is replacing electronic control unit (ecu). Acura fake recall: last December I took my car to an Acura dealer because there was a bulletin for a recall for Acura Tsx; this recall was about ecu corrosion and it specifically say that it is going to be detailed checked and tested and if any problem was presented it could also be replaced without no cost. Well, what they did was put a piece of plastic cover on top of the ecu to cover the corrosion that the ecu already had, and 4 month later these problems come up. Therefore, I called Acura and ask them to make a follow up of this recall and what they answer was that the recall was already done, and they cannot do the recall twice and that they feel really sorry. Conclusion: Acura do not want to assume any responsibility for their problems and they want to still hiding problems that they have with their vehicles. Please see attached Acura diagnostic. I would really appreciate your help in this matter to avoid other persons getting this horrible experience.
Acura insulation on electrical wires attract rodents. 3 wires were chewed up by rodents. $380 to repair.
I have a Acura Tsx 2012 - about 70,000 miles. One evening leaving work my car notified me that I needed to check the power steering system. My wheel was completely locked and I had to get it towed to an Acura service center. I then later learned that I need to replace my eps unit and my cost would be $1028!!!!! this is unacceptable as my vehicle is fairly new and well maintained!!! Acura needs to fix this issue and reimburse me! it could've been life changing for me if this happened will on a main highway, etc!!! unacceptable for this vehicle!.
While driving on the busiest freeway in cleveland, ohio (7/23/17); an error popped up on my Acura Tsx saying "check power steering system," and I immediately lost all power steering of my vehicle. I was able to pull the wheel (with great force) to the side of the road, and read the owner's manual. It said that there's a problem with the electrical power steering of the vehicle and to shut off the car and turn it back on to see if the error resets. Thankfully the error went away. I called the dealer the next morning (since this happened on a Sunday), and they said if it happens again to bring it in for service. I drove the car for another 6 days (thinking it was a fluke), then to my parents 2 hours away to youngstown, ohio (7/29/17). When I got back into my car, turned the key, the error "check power steering" popped up again. Unfortunately, it did not reset. When this error occurs, the entire power steering system doesn't function. The steering wheel will turn; however, with great force! it's extremely difficult to move. I did some research and found a ton of issues with the electrical steering system of the 2015 Acura Tsx. I've had the car 5 years and drove it 79,000 miles (freeway mostly); it's odd that this early in the life, a main computer that houses the steering would fail. I found posts of people driving with children on freeways and on winding roads encounter the same issue and they lost control of their cars! see sites: 1. . Read more...
Excessive engine oil consumption causing oil level to go down too soon (<1000 miles) and causing the vehicle to lose power and stall for a few seconds when merging on to a freeway or starting in motion after a stop sign or prior slow down. This almost caused an accident while merging into a freeway after slowing down at a yield sign.

From 2009 through 2015 I have had my door lock actuators replaced 11 (eleven) times. Four times front driver side. Four times front passenger side. Four times rear passenger side. Three times rear driver side, which has now gone again making a fourth replacement necessary for rear driver side bringing total to 12 (twelve) times the door lock actuators will need to be replaced.
I had an accident in the snow and slid into the guardrail while turning. Not much body damage, but the steering completely locked. Was stuck in the road for 2 hours with the police having to block off around me. Had it towed to my mechanic. He could not do anything with it because he said it was electrical and could not clear the code that was coming up and needed to go the dealership. Had to have it towed to the dealership. They are replacing the steering.
Center stack hvac lights have stopped working. I've read countless threads & forums that state this is a known issue. It does pose a safety issue, I'm not sure why this has not been recalled yet. The warranty was extended, however, no one was notified & I purchased this car after the warranty period expired for the center console lights. They stopped working at 106k miles. In the daytime or dark you cannot read the climate control or radio control or clock display. You constantly fidget in the dark trying to see if you're pressing the proper button to defrost windows or turn the heat or air on. Taking your eyes off the road to fidget with your broken radio is the same thing as taking your eyes off the road for a cell phone. Why is this not a recall yet? only option is to pay out of pocket $1200 for a known fault in their design. Part to replace yourself has been discontinued. Recall needed.
