36 Air Bag problem of the 2017 Audi A3

Failure Date: 05/18/2022

Passenger air bag light intermittently comes on after starts. Car has been showing exact symptoms from the pods recall since I bought it in may, and I’ve tried to have this fixed by 3 separate Audi dealerships, and none of them have been able to fix it. At this point, this recall has now been active for over a year and a half, and I think it is absolutely ridiculous to have a non-functioning passenger seat in a “practical” hatchback. Thus, at this point, I would like to escalate this further and potentially fight for a buyback, as this is a recall that both devalues the car and puts my passenger (and potentially myself, as this one fault has most likely disabled the entire srs; granted I don’t want to find out for myself) at risk. The “no-passenger” fix would have worked for 30-ish days while Audi worked for a fix, but 1. 5 years is absolutely unreasonable and totally ridiculous for a $50,000+-msrp luxury vehicle from the Volkswagen Audi group.

41 Air Bag problem of the 2020 Audi A3

Failure Date: 04/01/2022

Supposedly the recall parts for the pods system can’t be replaced because Audi is not manufacturing the necessary part!! there is no schedule or estimated time for when the parts will become available. Now I am afraid to drive my car knowing my passenger is not safe! this requires immediate attention as I cannot risk my passengers’ lives every time they are in my car. We have been trying to resolve this for months and the service center says they cannot do anything until the parts somehow magically become available.

46 Air Bag problem of the 2015 Audi A3

Failure Date: 02/08/2022

For recall 21v198-69by, I took my car to Audi of birmingham on recall. They provided me a service form to show the repair had been made, but my passenger side air bag off light is still on because they didn't make the repair. It wasn't brought to my attention until I took my car for another repair job and the didn't make that repair, either.

48 Air Bag problem of the 2018 Audi A3

Failure Date: 01/04/2022

On 4 Jan 2022 I received my notification of the pods recall from Audi for my 2018 A3. I called the dealer and they informed me they did not have the part and would not schedule me for the repair until they had they part. They also indicated they had no control over when the part would be available and suggested I call Audi customer care for information on when the part might be available. I did as suggested and got a supreme runaround and sent back to the dealer. The service manager indicated to me they would put me on the list and call when they received the part. Unfortunately, they could not schedule me for repairs as they did not have a delivery date for the part from Audi. My system is intermittently showing the airbag is not working. This has been going on for a couple of months. I should be able to schedule my car for repair but cannot as Audi is slow rolling the delivery of the part for this recall. I want to inform NHTSA that Audi is not offering a timely response to this recall. After being notified of the problem several months ago, you would think they could start the manufacturing process to deliver parts in a timely manner. And to send a letter to me and advise that I should schedule the repair only to discover the parts aren't available and I can't get my Audi A3 repaired is very bad on Audi's part.

49 Air Bag problem of the 2016 Audi A3

Failure Date: 01/01/2022

Audi USA is incapable of repairing this defect in a timely fashion. I was informed today, after being told the parts to remedy "are on their way" for more than a month, that the parts to repair this recall are no longer produced. I want to go on record how disappointed I am with Audi USA now that I have a car that is unsafe to drive with passengers and look for avenues of recourse from a consumer's perspective.

I was sold a vehicle with a manufacturer recall that I was ensured was no big deal and would be fixed but there isn't currently a solution for the recall on the vehicle. The recall was issued in March of 2021 and it is now September 2021. I should have not been sold a faulty vehicle especially one with no foreseeable solution to the recall.

62 Air Bag problem of the 2018 Audi A3

Failure Date: 10/09/2021

The car informed me the passenger airbag is turned off. This recall was first noticed 7 months ago. Surely that’s enough time for Audi to come up with a fix? if the fix is going to be expensive (new seats and sensors) then that sucks for Audi. But what about the tens of thousands of us driving without airbags while Audi “investigates” for 7 months?.
