Spark plug for damaged due to oil seeping into it. This could lead to overheating of engine or cylinders getting damaged potentially leading to vehicle malfunction when I drive. Audi inspected the part and recommended to reseal the top of the engine. There was a warning for check engine which led to identifying the problem.

Turbo needs to be replaced after only 58,000 miles. This has been an issue causing recalls on Audi models in different years.
Owner of 2019 A4 recently purchased from dealership after lease expired in Feb. 2023. Currently with only 36,800 miles, took vehicle to inspect on Nov. 24th and nothing but a front light replacement and suggestion of new tires in inspection video. The factory warranty due to expire the following week, Dec. 2nd 2023, and I was inquiring as to cost of extending warranty, but di not purchase, was waiting until after holidays. The following weekend, tank malfunction light turns on, from nowhere and displays zero gas on the dashboard. The previous night we filled tank with superior gas from the same gas station we use, nothing odd. . Call dealership next business day, they state the factory warranty expired and cannot cover anything. I call Audi USA and they suggest that Audi dealership service inspect and they do and after inspecting the car conclude that I need a new fuel tank! a brand new car needs a gas tank! service advisor states I have a faulty tank and it is because of ibad gas? what is bad gas? I mean really? I put the same gas as always, superior. I received no warning lights. The dealership's inspection from the previous week did not detect anything either. It is a safety concern to drive not knowing how much gas one has. I suspect the gas gauge has an issue. The sensor is in the fuel tank hence the suggestion to replace the whole tank at a cost of $3880! the dealership should assume responsibility for not detecting during inspection. Even though factory warranty expired within a week of incident, they should provide a grace period. Audi USA must investigate. I am regretting my Audi purchase!!! this sensor is faulty and is dangerous and I am not the only owner who has this problem occur. It is unacceptable that this car not perform as expected and gas tanks usually have a 20 year life span! I believe that 46,000 cars were recalled with gas gauge issues and although this car is not in that recall does not mean it can be defective.

On December 29, 2022 as I was driving my engine light came on, the fuel gauge registered empty (I had over a quarter tank of fuel at the time), and my miles till empty display in the upper left of the instrument cluster went blank. I took my Audi to my Audi dealer and their recommended repair was as follows: fuel tank: after removing fuel pump and level sensor we found that the secondary fuel level sensor is built into the fuel tank is faulty. Recommend replacing the tank and fuel pump with the tank. Their reason was that if the fuel tank failed it could cause a potentially hazardous situation for the driver and passengers.

Driving on a two lane busy road, car started to jerk and shut down. Lost steering capability immediately, car veered toward ditch, stopped. Called 911 immediately because the road was busy and cars could not safely get around my stalled vehicle. I told 911 that I was exiting the vehicle for my safety. I could not restart the vehicle. There were no warning lamps or messages or symptoms alerting me to a problem until after the occurrence. I had no idea what was happening, and it was frightening. Never had this situation with any of my Audi's and I only have approximately 41,000 miles on it. After about 15 minutes a person stopped and was able to restart my vehicle (911) never got to me and I cautiously drove home. Called the dealer and had it serviced immediately. Diagnostics performed on it. It required a replacement of the fuel pump and fuel rail sensor. It found fuel pump control module to be shorting out. It seems that this type of issue should not be occurring on the vehicle with such low mileage.

I have been an Audi A4 owner for more than 10 years. During that time, I have had 2 incidents where I could have easily been killed as well as injured or killed passengers in oncoming vehicles. The latest was this morning on March 23, 2022. The other was nearly 10 years ago. My personal investigation has led me to a conclusion that I have not yet seen anywhere else. In both cases, I am trying to get into a heavy flow of traffic. I know that I will have to "gun it" to get up to speed. For that reason, I have one foot on the accelerator and one on the brake. When traffic opens to where I think it is safe to proceed, I press the accelerator while my foot is still on the brake. In the situation this morning, I intended to execute a sharp right turn into the closest lane of a road with 2-lanes going in that direction. I pressed the accelerator hard while turning the steering wheel. Instead of turning right, the car shot across both lanes of traffic, wiped out a traffic sign and entered the lanes of oncoming traffic. I had zero control. It was only dumb luck that I avoided traffic in both directions (both of which were travelling at roughly 60 mph). Even though I knew about this risk from my earlier incident, I didn't think about it at the time. I realize that my actions send conflicting signals to the car (go/don't go), but the last thing the car should do is propel itself forward with no control on the part of the driver. I don't know if this is limited to Audi or the A4, but I wanted to make my experience public to possibly avoid a serious or fatal accident by someone else. It is very avoidable with proper knowledge and attention. I'd be interested in knowing if you have been notified of any other incidents of this type.
The coolant light came on after I replaced coil packs and I stopped to look wasn't leaking anywhere. Drove to work and it caught on fire due to overheating I guess not really sure. I was driving a car on fire down a highway and didn't even know it. I stopped to take a left turn into work and smoke stared billowing out and around the entire car. Other drivers couldn't see me or nothing I could have been in an accident. The fire department checked the car out sort of and it's in a mechanics shop now. Trying to figure it out. Oil light was on and that's it. An then the coolant light would kick on and off. Nothing else after I changed the coil packs. And it was well after I did that.

While driving on the highway, there was a message that flashed on the dashboard about the coolant system, within a couple minutes, I felt like the car was shutting down while going 65 miles per hour. So I pulled over on the shoulder of the turnpike southbound in miami. This cased a great safety problem for me, as this happened while I was driving on the highway then I had to be on the right shoulder of the highway and had to call for road ranger. When the road ranger came to inspect the car, he tried to add coolant and realized that there was a fuel leak, the car would not start, the coolant drained completely out of the car. I then had to call aaa to get the car towed.
Having acceleration problems. Varies not consistent. When applying pedal to accelerate. The car doesn't respond. Rpm drops to zero. Engine still runs but no movement. Releasing pedal and trying again works intermittently. Scary when trying to get car out of danger.

On my car when I'm driving anywhere after I put my cruise control on if I press up or down on the cruise control to change the speed the car will either brake or speed up and it won't stop until I hit my brakes hard and turn the cruise control completely off which is also an issue because my brakes are going out extremely fast like I need a new pair every 2-3 months and the car also burns through oil so quickly that I need to add more within 2-3 days after an oil change with no leaks and it's burning more oil than gas which is clogging up my catalytic converter. . . . . . . . And causing my emissions to be bad. . . . .

2021 I brought an Audi A4 quattro 2. 0 2008 after having a test drive and haven't looked over the mechanic just said it was the fuel pressure high pressure sensor that was not a big deal after an hour buying it it took it to see my mom and it quit on me I had to have it towed home it would not start I took it to the mechanic and the mechanic said the same thing that it was a high pressure fuel pressure sensor so I purchased one and put on it couple months later it did the same thing the check engine light came on and it was told it was fuel pressure high pressure sensor again so I changed a fuel sensor two fuel pumps in the engine to electrical fuel pumps in the back four sensors camshaft sensor the cam follower ppc valves body throttle can follower engine light still comes on the car does not want to seem like it wants to accelerate when it gets to the normal temperature save your driving for 10 or 15 minutes still normal temperature not the radio the temperature it will start to cut off the rpm drops very fast I also have put in a fuel pressure regulator and a fuel pressure filter just the other day it came out again saying the same thing p0089 dakota's always been throwing ever since I brought the car and p 02993 it says performance one and performance too I have put a lot of money in to get in this car fixed in the I believe there is something wrong with with the fuel system in the cars they need to be on a recall.
I have gone gone to the dealer numerous times visits right after I had the scheduled oil changes done. The oil light / consumption issue happens after I've gotten an oil change, but 7,000 miles before the next one is due. I get afraid thinking that my car is out of oil . I do not have any oil leaks. Oil is leaking around ladder frame. This has been a know issue for a few years that I have been having and Audi will not resolve.
Brucken motors, I purchased an Audi A4 that was advertised on your facebook as safe, reliable, and dependent. I came to you with a down payment in hand, stating that I needed a car that drove without issues. I can afford minor repairs, but I wanted something with a clean history and service record. Zachary laney, the salesman, claimed that there was nothing wrong with this car. I asked about the headlight and was told, "OH no, it's just a bulb! I will buy it so you can replace it. " asked about any issues and was told the car was absolutely clean. Sure enough, less than a week after I bought it, it started acting up. I took it to the mechanic to remedy the issue, paid out of pocket even though I was sold a warranty (mistake number two on your part) that I was told would cover most issues. My mechanic is experienced and has taken care of many cars, and sure enough, the issue was not fixed. It was only covered up with makeup per say. I gave it another chance and the vehicle broke down again. This vehicle, which mind you, I put a 4000 dollar down payment on, pay a 17!!!! percent interest rate even though I was told 7 and lied to on paper, is costing me over 470 a month for just the payment. Let alone the repairs. I haven't driven the car a month. Literally. I've paid on it for four months, and it's been in the shop. I let you guys know this and was ignored constantly. I was told that the check engine codes were cleared at one point which means that you knew this vehicle was bad. Ontop of it all, this car was stolen and had title issues. There was also minor damage and a long service history.

Purchased car used from Audi of north park in san antonio, TX with approx 73k miles on it. I have driven it for less than 2k miles. The car will no longer engage in reverse. I searched forums and see that this is a common problem.
My car started to smell like gas inside, and it was a very strong odor. I went to an auozone to get a diagnostic, in the system it had said it was a very small gas leak and that it would have been okay to drive. I kept driving and it still smelled like gasoline and stronger each time. Therefore, I took it to the mechanic the next day driving it, and under the back seats was filled with gasoline. The mechanic still cant find the leak. However, if I would have kept driving it, the car could have exploded on me.

My vehicle is leaking coolant. Every 8-10k miles it goes below normal level in reservoir . There is a distinct odor of coolant each time I get out of the vehicle. I have had Audi look at it 5 times. They confirm the coolant levels are low and they refill it saying they can't find a leak. I am concern that this is a fire hazard.
My vehicle was burning oil faster than normal. I have since had my car in the shop several times before oil changes were due to top off oil do to several lights coming "min oil", "oil pressure too low".
Gas smell upon starting engine, continuing entire time car is driven. As long as the car was on, still or running, you can smell gas.
This vehicle is needing a quart of oil every 300-400 miles. It's a 6 year old car, there is something seriously wrong with Audi engine design. A quart of oil every 300-400 miles is completely unacceptable. Since day 1 this vehicle has had an oil consumption problem now at 75k miles and the problem just continues to get worse.
I had received a recall June of 2018. It states that my car can essentially start on fire. I went on the Audi website and found out they are servicing the vehicals right now for the after run coolant pump, but hope to in the fall. This being said; do I just have to wait and pray that my car doesn't start on fire or ? that's not safe, and I didn't pay thousands of dollars to hope my car doesn't start on fire till the fall.
I received a recall for my 2015 Audi A4 but there is no remedy currently available to fix it. I am doing a pcs to rota, spain August 28, 2018 and have planned on shipping my car as well. With a current recall on my vehicle, I am unsure the next steps.
Upon having 3 consecutive oil changes, my car suddenly began to burn oil (no leaks) after the first oil change upon driving less than 900 miles. Then the second oil change did the same thing upon driving under 300 miles. It actually ran out of oil totally. I added oil as instructed by the car, and it burn the oil withing 250 miles of driving. I took it to the dealer, who acknowledge that this model and year had the wrong engine put in the vehicle. They would need to replace the entire engine at my cost, with possible reimbursement to me. Not acceptable, since they acknowledged the defect. Oil continues to burn at a very high rate and potential cause additional engine problems while driving.

Audi USA has a know mechanical default with cam shaft and cam followers. As per my mechanic any damage to the cam shaft could be dangerous. Acknowledging this defect 6 years after production Audi extended the warranties for this parts to 10 years or 120,000 miles so that they are replaced at first indications of trouble rather then actual mechanical breakage which could be harmful. Audi only notified original owners of the vehicle on record. Since I had bought the are used I was not notified by Audi or my local dealership of the known issues with these parts and extended warranties on them. Without knowing about the warranty I had service done on the cam follower twice costing hundreds of dollars. Now the problem is the cam shaft which is going to cost about $4500 to repair. Even though my car has only 91000 miles (less than the 120000 miles required by Audi) it is over the 10 year period. I am somewhat dismayed that this was not escalated to be a safety recall by Audi so that all owners could have been notified and the part replaced in a timely fashion. I am in a quandary - pay $4500 in repairs which I cannot afford or risk driving with a part that could potentially have a mechanical breakdown that could cause an accident. I think Audi has been disingenuous 1. Instead of issuing a recall they disguise it as an extended warranty. 2. They issue the warranty in stealth mode 6 years after manufacturer - no public release or widespread communication 3. They fail to notify owners like myself about 6 pending know issues some of which are critical. 4. When the customer contact them they are failing to honor their responsibility to fix it manufacturer should be held accountable for releasing an unsafe automotive part and then when a clear manufacturing defect is established not issuing a recall and failing to honor warranty claims on technicality.
The turbo and exhaust system malfunctions consistently. This vehicle has been serviced multiple times at the dealer and never confirmed or fixed the problem. Now there is a burning smoke smell inside the car when it runs which causes headaches. Vehicle requires 1 quart of motor oil each fill up.
My car has a leaking high pressure fuel leak from the high pressure hose right at the top of the engine block at the rear of the engine. The steel line connects directly to the filter and is leaking from the stainless steal line. The power steering metal hose lines are incorrect from the factory and do not supply enough pressure in the line to keep the steering wheel from a very harsh low speed shudder when turning. The lower control arm bushings fail at very low mileage. None of these issues have been acknowledged on this year car. This model Audi is an absolute lemon having multiple issues and extreme repairs and huge costs when trying to fix them. I have the paper work for these fixes and what it takes to repair them correctly. I have already had this car repaired from Audi for the piston ring oil failure which they had to replace per the lawsuit they were hit with and still denied any wrong doing. Please force this company to right these issues they ignored in the face of profits instead of doing right by the consumer.
Follow up to complaint 10852082. Once again my car lost all power including power steering, this time in the middle of multiple lanes of fast moving traffic. After the first two times, the defect was not identified by the dealer. This time, as I brought the car in right away, the computer detected that the issue was due to faulty camshaft position sensor circuits. They have been replaced and hopefully my car will now be fine. So here are the questions. Is this really what caused the vehicle to cease functioning three times? if so, how many of these faulty cps sensors are out there? it is just a fluke or do they wear out or is it a bad batch? should there be a sensor that will stop all power with no warning? this last incident happened on the entrance ramp to fort lauderdale airport where about 6 lanes of traffic comes around a curve and decelerates from 55mph to 25 as cars approach the terminals and parking. The speed limit is 45 going down to 15 but people are moving pretty fast. I wrestled the car over as other cars were struggling to avoid me. Once I had the car stopped, I removed the electronic key, reinserted and the car started back up fine.
