2 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem of the 2009 Audi A6

Failure Date: 08/17/2016

The cvt tcm has been re-programmed by Audi dealer for $160 after rebulit transmission for $3300. Had to tow a CA for $70 to dealer just to get re-programing. Took car on hwy and the acceleration didn't work. Had to pool to side and called tow. Found out the tcm has to be replaced and it is very common problem and Audi is charging too much of money. Could not find any part from anywhere unless Audi. Plus, the tcm is the one making the transmission break.

3 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem of the 2000 Audi A6

Failure Date: 08/20/2006

Luckily I haven't had an accident but my vehicle does have a dangerous problem. If you brake hard and then step on the throttle the car will jerk and not want to start going again. It is very dangerous if you are trying to merge into traffic or get out of the way. I was informed it was a programmed "safety" feature intended to stop accidental acceleration. It seems to be exactly the opposite to me.

4 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem of the 2002 Audi A6

Failure Date: 01/05/2003

2002 Audi A6 avante wagon automatic transmission - there is a significant"hesitation" on acceleration such that the car does not initially respond when the accelerator is depressed but does so suddenly a short time reslting in a hesitation. I consider this to be a significant safety concern since the acceleration of the car is unpredictable. The car has been taken to two dealers to deal with this problem, both reporting that this is normal for the "fly-by-the-wire" systems which is used in the car and that there is no adjustment or correction for this. I find it to be of concern and a safgety issue that aaudi should deal with before there is a serious accident.
