I purchased 4 new tires from tire choice auto service in st. Peters, mo on 6/29/2021. They recommended blackline champoints and installed them that day. I noticed a few weeks ago when I drove a couple hours away to visit a college with my daughter, my traction just didn't seem great. I didn't think much at the time or after because my tires were practically brand new. I work from home and maybe have about 4-5k miles on them. I took my car in on Monday this week to my auto shop for my regular oil change, which coincidentally enough it was the month before I got these new tires. The mechanic asked me if I knew my tires were bald, I laughed telling him I got those after my last oil change, no way they could be bald. Sure enough, the front tires are slicker than anything I have ever seen on a tire and the back has hardly any tread at all. How is this even possible when I haven't even put 5,000 miles on them! I don't drive off road, mostly highway and have not been in any accidents. Which leads me to my next and biggest concern. . . I was driving in the rain last week with my son and we started hydroplaning out of control, again didn't think it was the tires, just that the road must've been extra slick. We could've been seriously injured and I am beyond frustrated to know this was the culprit. I would like something done to rectify this immediately and am giving this company the chance to make this right before I proceed with next steps. I contacted the company who installed them and they said they are having trouble getting in touch with blacklion or blackhawk, whichever it is and it could take weeks to fix this. I have one car and do not have weeks. I would like someone to get in touch with me ASAP to get this fixed, and I do not want anything close to this same tire if they last under 5,000 miles.

During the first 18 months, I have experienced 4 flat tires on my Audi A6 2. 7t s line. One on the rear passenger side and 3 on the front driver's side. I have driven for over 25 years and have only experienced about 3 flat tires in that entire period before the purchase of this vehicle. The flat tires were replaced with three different brands. Regardless of the tire manufacturer, there continues to be flats. This is a very serious problem and the public should be made aware of this problem.

This is in reference to the Audi recall referencing replacement of tires to meet axle weight of vehicle. Nhtsa campaign id no #03v143000. Tires 225/45 r17 91y were to be replaced by 225/45 r17 94w. In Nov 03 took vehicle to the Audi phil long dealership in colorado springs to meet compliance per recall letter. Dealership took the performance "all season" tires off the vehicle and replaced three tires with 225/45 94w performance "summer" tires and one tire with a 225/45 91y performance summer tire. First by looking at the specs of the tires they installed they partially met the recall criteria. Secondly, by choosing to take the original performance "all season" tires off the vehicle in the present winter season and replacing them with a performance "summer" tire without telling me (the consumer) of the type of tires they installed and sending me on my way assuring me that my safety concerns with the recall had been met, both Audi USA, and Audi phil long dealership configured the vehicle to be unsafe for normal operation. The recall criteria was not met, additionally by taking away the all season tires and replacing them with summer tires in winter season without advising the consumer prior to releasing the vehicle generated a new hazard. As a result the vehicle handling characteristics changed, vehicle did not respond as driver was accustomed prior to recall, and as a result during icy road conditions the vehicle slid and suffered damages. Audi USA does not accept responsibility, nor phil long dealership. The recall attempted to meet one hazard, and by the choice of tires chosen as replacement without consideration of vehicle location, and failure to advise consumer of replacement tires specifications and limitations generated a greater hazard.
All four original tires were replaced by the consumer at 14,500 miles. The tire dealer provided 50% on the second set of tires and at 25,000 miles, the tires needed to be replaced again. Pirelli, size# p225/55r17. The consumer noticed that the tires were nearly worn with hardly enough tread remaining. (model/allroad).
Tread separation causing tire to fail. (went flat in parking lot)dt.
Consumer repaired the tires due to recall. The manufacturer stated they won't reimburse for the replacement tire because the damage occurred prior to 12/16/2002. The manufacturer also said that it was the date given by NHTSA. The consumer stated the tire ruptured while driving and apparently the side of the tire failed and sudden pressure lost caused the wheel to come in direct contact with the pavement, the tire and the wheel had to be replaced.
Tires were worn out, causing vehicle to vibrate at 55mph, and could cause loss in steering. Cause unknown. Dealer notified. Size/dot unknown.

Vibration or chuckle felt between 45mph and 75mph in floor near throttle and in seat of pass, also felt when climbing /declining on highway,at highway speed. Started at day one of buying this $52,000 vehicle. 12 visits to dealer for same repair,10 tires replaced and other parts. . Audi no help!.
Tires are cupping, resulting in heavy wear, noise and vibration. Cause is improper alignment or suspension wear. Dealer and manufacturer have not responded to request for correction. (tiresize: p20555r16)( dot number: tire size: p20555r16 ).
Dealer has attempted to balance these tires on three separate occasions within past 4 months without success. ( dot number: tire size: p205/55/16 ).
Tires failed twice (general).
Owner is very unhappy with the arrangements that Audi is making in reference to a recall involving tires which are the wrong size. Dealership is asking owners to make an appointment first, come in and let the dealership view the tires, then ask them to leave the car for several hours while they order the tires to replace those that warrant an exchange. There is no cost to the consumer. However, time wise it is an inconvenience. The tires were being replaced.
3 blowouts hitting same pothole by three differnet drivers.
