2 Battery Dead problem of the 2002 Audi TT

Failure Date: 02/07/2008

2002 Audi Tt had instrument cluster replaced @41,000 miles when I bought the car in January 2007. Recently, the battery went dead after sitting 5 days. When it was restarted and the battery recharged, the instrument cluster is acting up again. I understand that this is a very normal occurrence in these cars. The problem can (and has) caused the speedometer to stop working. There is now 45,00 miles on this car.

3 Battery Dead problem of the 2001 Audi TT

Failure Date: 01/04/2005

Battery was dead. Replaced battery and by next morning the new battery was dead. Turns out that the heated seats were short circuiting and was draining the battery even when shut off. Disconnected the fuse. Found out that in order to get fixed could cost in excess of $1000 since it requires taking the dashboard apart.
