Warning Light On problems of the 2011 BMW 328

1 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 07/05/2020

The contact owns a 2011 BMW 328i. The contact stated that when the vehicle was started, the air bags warning light illuminated and remained illuminated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall and referred the contact to the dealer. The contact called the BMW of peabody dealer located at 221 andover st, peabody, MA 01960, and left a message on the answering service. The contact was not called back. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 78,000.

2 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 02/08/2016

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 BMW 328i. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v071000 (air bags) and stated the dealer disconnected the communication system, stated that it was not related to the recall but the air bag warning light remained illuminated with a constant "beeping" sound after the dealers actions. The dealer (holeman automotive group in fort lauderdale, FL) did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The manufacturer was contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contacts vehicle would receive the recall repair. The air bag light remained illuminated for months. The failure mileage was unknown. Parts distribution disconnect.
