The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v071000 (air bags) and stated the dealer disconnected the communication system, stated that it was not related to the recall but the air bag warning light remained illuminated with a constant "beeping" sound after the dealers actions. The dealer (holeman automotive group in fort lauderdale, FL) did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The manufacturer was contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contacts vehicle would receive the recall repair. The air bag light remained illuminated for months. The failure mileage was unknown. Parts distribution disconnect.
