general problems of the 2011 BMW 328 - part 1

Nothing has malfunctioned yet on the vehicle, however, these recalls are putting my daughter at risk while driving as there is an air bag and engine recall on the vehicle. Every time we contact the dealership, the recall is still unavailable.

The the oc3 mat on the passanger car just showed up faulty which causes the air bag light to also come on. I have seen a lot of others posting they are having the same issue. Can you help me find out if this has already been recalled but not replaced on my car or if it hasn't even been recalled yet this is a safety issue. Because the airbags will not function if the oc3 mat is not functioning properly. There wasn't anyone in the seat and the car had not been in an accident when the lights for the seat and airbags came on I took it in for a diagnostic and they said it was the passenger oc3 mat . I have read some of the same modle had already had recalls just trying to find out if this was one that should have been because the rep at the dealer ship said this was the first one he's ever seen go bad on any car since he's been there. The big problem I'm having is the warranty I bought with the car won't cover this repair either and I'm a disabled veteran so I can't afford it at this moment.

Received letter of recal Dec 2023 for recall campaign no 23v-707 is been almost two months and BMW not communicating with me to find solution letter said remedi unavailable engine bolts may over time loosen and eventually break how they want public to drive like that this should be a priority is dangerous.

Passenger restraint system malfunction alert when car is turned on. Air bag and passenger seatbelt warning lights are on. Passenger seat belt light will never turn off even with no passengers in the car. Air bags for passenger are off when there is a passenger in the car causing a safety concern. BMW wants $1000 to diagnose what the issue is for the airbag light only but not to fix it or check the seat belt light. Already paid them $100 just to tell me exactly what the message said on the car screen. Seeing the same issue all over the internet with flaws in the passenger restraint system for this model and similar models but no fix. Found an extended warranty but does not list the e92 model, all other models are listed.

1) vehicle idling problem, it automatically accelerate while vehicle is idle and pcv valve problem is very prominent during the winter. 2) airbag problem, automatically airbag is popping up.

I had my passenger in the car driving 30mm and then I got a “restraint system warning ?? “ illuminating the seatbelt light and seatbelt with airbag light. This is a safety concern as it is still on without a passenger. This affects the passenger airbag so in the case of fatality this would fall on BMW na for neglecting to fix this issue. The car was fine before and this came out of no where.

The airbag light and seatbelt light came on randomly. The airbag sensor is off, and the “passenger airbag off” light is illuminated even when there’s somebody sitting in the car. This is a major safety issue, as the vehicle doesn’t recognize when somebody is sitting in the passenger seat and wont deploy airbags when there’s a wreck.

My driver and passenger airbags deployed because my car all of the sudden lurched forward on it's own and I bumped the car in front of me and when it happened my car started accelerating and revving all on it's own into the car ahead and I was trying to make it stop by pushing the brakes but the brake pedal wouldnt move it was hard and wouldnt move so my car kept accelerating bumping the car in front of me over and over and I was stomping down on the brake pedal to make it stop but it wouldnt. After about 30 seconds of this it just stopped. The airbags were blowing out very hot air that burned and bruised my left arm very badley and myself and my minor passenger were choking from it. My driver side window and windshield were both broken from the explosion of the airbags but the body of my car wasn't damaged. I had noticed that sometimes the display in my car wouldnt show all the car controls but never imagined the car would malfunction like this. Now the repair shop wants the same amount of money that I initially paid for the car to repair it and my insurance is not covering it. Please help because this was not my fault the car malfunctioned.

My son was injured by the impact of an accident on may 30th, 2021. He was driving when a car sped past him, lost control, slammed into the center median guardrail, then into the drivers side door of my sons car. The impact was strong enough to dent and puncture a large hole in the door, yet the side impact air bags did not deploy. Nor did any other air bag. We still currently have the vehicle.

When a passenger sits in the front passenger seat, the passenger side airbag seat sensor triggers and illuminates the airbag light, deactivating the passenger airbag. After it is triggered, the light stays illuminated, along with the seat belt light, for several drive cycles, without a passenger present, before resetting. This is a sporadic issue, but rather frequent. It began, very occasionally, approximately a year ago, but has progressively become worse. My research has shown this is a very common issue with BMW vehicles; however, my vehicle is not covered under any previous recall, although the seats are the same part number as those addressed in prior recall notices.

I got a passenger restraint failure light on my vehicle all of a sudden. Said lights turned on as I was turning to enter the highway route 2 in fitchburg MA. I have heard that this is an ongoing issue with Bmws since mid 2000s yet mines is not on recall. I have tried everything but can not correct the error. I am concerned of an airbag malfunction in the event of an accident. Hoping you can assist me with this issue.

Over the course of the last 2 months I get an oc3 passenger seat mat error. I noticed that there is an extended warranty for this but my car isn't covered.

I feel like the airbags exploded on my face and hit my head.

My car only has 62,900 miles and about two weeks ago the air bag alarm came on without any situation or accident occured.

Takata recall aibag light is on in vehicle. I barely drive car and do not understand why this is on. When I check recalls 8 seen this model is affected but when I put in VIN no current reveal. This is very contradicting. The vehicle was stationary. I turned it on to warm up and the airbag notification came on.

I called the dealership (motorworks BMW in bloomington mn) regarding two open recalls (pcv heater and air bag) they told me that the airbag was not affected but they would repair the pcv heater. I am more concerned about the air bag as it is related to crash safety.

I was driving at a slow speed during heavy traffic in town at 4 pm on a sunny day. The car ahead of me slowed down even more and when I was trying to slow my car too, it did not slow down at all. I did hit the car ahead of me at a slow speed and the air bag deployed causing severe injury to my right wrist and to the left wrist. It caused profuse bleeding because the air bag caused cuts in my wrist area, very close to a vein. A five inch hematoma appeared within minutes in the right wrist and the skin was scraped off both wrists. Several burn marks are also visible all the way up to the bend of my arms. The police came within minutes and they bandaged my wrists to try to stop the bleeding. An ambulance was called and the emt wanted to transport me to a hospital.

Takata airbag problems on the passenger side of the vechicle. When I bought this car from the third party dealership, �chase autoplex� he resetted the settings everything was working properly, but after getting home, the next day my car showed airbag problems. When I called him, he said he can't help me out with it. So my question is that, if you guys can help me get a recall on this airbag, so I don't have to spent money on it myself, I will appreciate it. Thanks.

When I bought this car from the third party dealership, it had airbag problem, when I told the guy about the problem. He said he will lower the price and give me the car. The airbag for the car is too expensive so he doesn't want to mess around with it.

Takata recall. I have recieved several recall letters regarding my vehicle. I have noticed my car driving differently, and I do not feel safe being in the car or having others in the vehicle. I have read the recalls on my vehicle and it has stated that car can go on fire while driving or not and parts are not available. I would like to return the vehicle my famiy and my safety comes first.

Air bag is broken steering is very hard to turn the computer system went out and 1s gear is having problems taking off. I fear for my life every time I drive my only car. Can you please help me with these recalls problems.

While looking up the recall for the takata recall, I noticed there was an open recall on my car for the vanos housing bolts, I had not received a notice in the mail even though I had updated my account with BMW at first notice of the tanaka recall. I had my car serviced for the vano housing repair which they removed the valve cover to inspect the bolts and found a broken bolt on the vanos housing and replaced the exhaust, removed and inspected the oil pan to remove the fragments. I paid for an oil change that day. Less than 7300 miles and 2 quarts of oil later I was experiencing an oil leak that was caused by an improperly seated valve cover not seating to the cylinder head. They offered to repair a broken cylinder head bolt for $500 I declined as my mechanic said it didn't make sense and they should repair a bolt if they are already in there. I'd also like to note that the recall listed the repair was to take 4 hours but they had my car 3 days. No loaner was given until the end of the 2nd day. They are now refusing to reimburse me for the valve cover $1000 repair. I noticed online that several dealers replaced the valve cover as a part of this service to avoid this problem, though bert smith BMW st. Petersburg, FL did not. I also have 2 other open recalls on my car that have been listed as a remedy not available since December 2017.

The vehicles rdc module that communicates to the tpms gets wet and causes a complete electrical system failure. This module on is located under the passenger rear wheel splash shield on the outside of the vehicle and is exposed to elements. This is a poor design and location. Failure happened during vehicle operation and even when off and it causes complete loss of all safety function. It seems to be a common issue when researching online.

When will the wiring recall for my car be completed? I need some sort of updated information, as my car is sitting due to signing a form stating I will not drive until the repairs are done. This is causing other issues such as dead battery, possible tire dry rot etc. . . . Due to sitting for so long I'm the weather without moving. Will any other damages or faults be covered due to this?.

I received notice in October that there is a recall however the BMW dealership informed me that "yes there is a recall but we will not be ordering parts until after Jan 2018", well how safe am I driving this car. . . . . They act like it is not a concern. . . ????.

Nhtsa recall number 17v683 positive crankcase ventilation (pcv) valve heater : this recall involves an engine component known as the positive crankcase ventilation (pcv) valve heater. The pcv valve heater may not have been produced to specifications. Over time, it could deteriorate and, in rare cases, could lead to overheating.

There are multiple recalls on my car with the airbag the most prominent, but there is a month wait to get this fixed. I would like to get this fixed ASAP as it feels like im driving a ticking timebomb.
