'"takata recall" I have not had any problems but I dont want the takata airbags due to recall it is dangerous and could kill you.
Takata recall: have been trying since March 3016 to get BMW to replace airbag under recall. I live in florida (certainly hot & muggy!). Called Aug. 14 and told it would be taken care of this week. Called today and they have not yet notified the dealer and "released" the airbag. Maybe next week. Fyi, this is taking forever in an environment that should be priority. Loaners not available.

Getting "passenger restraint system" error for no apparent reason at all. I'm afraid the airbags won't deploy in case of accident.
I was on the street. When I got into a car accident on may 28 2017. My airbags deployed after I slammed someone in the back because my brakes were not propyl working. My airbags also shot out some metal fragments cutting my hand up.
I received a safety recall notice with the heading "final remedy available" and was instructed to contact my BMW service center to schedule a repair. When I did, I was advised that the remedy is unavailable and will not be available until a later date, maybe the summer of 2017. The notice suggests that I inform the NHTSA if BMW is unable to remedy the defect within a reasonable period of time. Given that it is unclear when the remedy will be available, I am notifying the NHTSA of my experience. Thank you.
Takata recalls? when I start my car, I keep getting a message "passenger restraint malfunction" involving seat belt, air bag, etc. If I don't connect my seat belt on the passenger side when no one is in it, the bell keeps ringing. My car is not on the list of recalls for this. Why isn't my car on the recall list?.
Takata recall - recall notice received over one year ago. No action has been taken by BMW to date. I have serious safety concerns about continuing to drive this vehicle and effectively cannot trade it in on another vehicle since its value is significantly diminished until the recall is completed.
Had several recalls sent but everytime I contact and took my car . BMW stated that parts are not in. Been 2 years, so I was still paying and then told until get get fixed. No payments will be made on a car they knew was a safety hazard and did not for 2 years. Took car again in 2/2017. Same answer. Now they want to take care and charge me due to their lack to service my BMW , which is a safety hazard to drive.
