Engine Stall Problems of BMW 330

Engine stalls on a few occasions when vehicle was turning left at low speed, causing temporary loss of power steering. Was able to quickly re-start the engine every time but could have caused crash otherwise. This occurred more frequently after 2008 (and after 60k miles), both at low speed on local roads and at 45 ~ 55 mph on highways, summer or winter conditions, with or without ac turned on. Occurrences are infrequent and unpredictable. Reported to my BMW dealer several times but dealer was unable to replicate the problem and unable to diagnose the issue. Otherwise, the vehicle drives perfectly fine and I love it.

BMW 330i exhibits frequent erratic idle when stopped, as well as engine stalling. Erratic idle is in the form of engine speed drops below 400-500 rpm. Stalling sometimes occurs as a result of these idle speed drops. This is a common issue among recent 330 model BMW's, and apparently there is no known solution at this time.

2003 BMW 330i, I have an issue where the engine stalls when the coasting to a stop, or sitting stationary, and with the clutch fully depressed. Engine also exhibits uneven/odd acceleration behavior, often lagging noticeably at speed. I've had the car at the dealer to diagnose the problem on 4 occasions in the past year (19k miles) with zero resolution. Because the car isn't throwing an error codes, I guess that I have to just "live with it". Not acceptable. This can be a dangerous issue, especially when coasting to a stop. I would like to see BMW finally step up to the plate and address this issue. I just shouldn't have to live with something like this, in this day in age, and with a mass-produced car.

I have a 6-speed manual transmission 330cic and when I put the gear into neutral at a stop the engine rpm would dip drastically and stalls several times in traffic. Periodically the engine rpm would dip so rapidly that the engine stalls from idle position. This can happen in the driveway or on a road at an 4-way light. Basically anytime the engine is at idle there is a potential for stalling. I experienced stalls in heavy traffic as well as sitting at a stop light.
