Engine Stall Problems of BMW 528

At least 7 times in the last 3 years I have had a weird engine problem. After park the car for awhile it failed to start with no reason. After one hour of trying to start, engine start as usual. Car have been test by the dealership for a whole week and no codes or fails have been detected. Most of these fails have happend after park the car, a couple of times engine stalls while driving. Very dangerous situation. After been evaluated for the dealership, car has failed twice. Same as always it starts again after trying several times. Lapse between fails is 3 to 4 months apart. Fail happens only on the city so far.

After parking the car for extended time (>7hours), hot weather, starting the car and put in reverse, back out slowly the engine stalls, transmission flips by itself to neutral (n) and a message on screen stating that transmission is not in park, . . . . , this happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Happening earlier but was only shaking when reversing and engine stays on. Now got worse and engine stalls. Took to BMW dealers (two of them) both claimed they couldn't recreate the issue but saw it before and no solution from BMW but to wait 15 seconds after starting the car to put in reverse.

The contact owns a 2012 BMW 528xi. While driving 10 mph, the engine stalled. The contacted called the dealer (BMW gallery of norwood located at 918 providence hwy norwood, MA 02082 781-762-2691) and an appointment was scheduled for the following week. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 77,000.

While driving to work, through city streets, the engine stalled. I was nearly in an accident. I was able to restart the engine, but it stalled again in less than 3 miles.
