One problem related to front air bag sensor control has been reported for the 2011 BMW X5. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The passenger occupancy sensor is defective and chimes continuously when unoccupied. The only way to disarm the chime is to buckle the passenger seat belt which activates the passenger airbags. Since this vehicle currently has several airbag recalls on it, the defective occupancy sensor creates a dangerous situation for myself and other owners of this same make and model.
