My car would not start on it own. I got a boost and it started up. Went to auto store and turned the car off and removed the key but it kept running for a few minutes. The sales associated tested the battery and said it wasn't getting the proper crack amps. They did not have the battery that I needed in stock, I was able to make it home and turn off and restart the car until the next morning and the car would not start again and the key got stuck in the ignition. My husband purchased a battery from advance auto but he was still not sure that the battery was indeed the issue. Called and took the car superior motors dealership on November 5. We left the car for them to research the issue. We received a call notifying that there was a crack in the firewall that caused water to leak at the cowl area which shorted out the fuse block and corroded the connectors. My husband asked if we could get assistance with the repair because it was a defect in the product/workmanship and not something that we had control over. Superior motors informed us that we needed to reach out to general motors directly in order to receive any type of assistance. We spoke to several customer service representative that took all of our information and assured us that the issue would be escalated and a call within 24 hours. In the meantime, we reached out to our auto insurance provider and they went out to the dealership. He notified my husband that a service bulletin has been issued in regards to the issue with our vehicle. I am disappointed because we were without transportation and had been promised several call backs. After numerous attempts of speaking with customer service agents we finally received a call back from a nicole on November 23, 2015 informing us that gm would not be assisting us. We were told by the dealership that we are lucky the car did not catch on fire.

The vehicle failed to start on 12/1/14. I called the dealership in san luis obispo, California, and they towed it in. The battery was fine and they told my wife that they could not find anything wrong with it and that it was good to go and they gave it back to her on 12/2/14. On 12/4/14 my wife and two young children were driving and about to get on the freeway 180 miles away ion san jose, California, when the car stalled and froze up while going 40 mph. Power steering did not work. She pulled over to the side of the road and the car shut off. Thank heavens she was not on the freeway. The car was towed to the dealership in san jose. Today they told her that they could not find anything wrong with the car but the computer did show an electrical failure. We called gm and told them the problem and they will speak with dealership tomorrow. This is the same problem I believe with the 20014 model where, I read on the internet, the chassis electronic module may be internally contaminated, resulting in an electrical short. It states that if the module experiences an electrical short, the vehicle could stall, increasing the risk of a crash. This is exactly what is happening here. The 2013 model needs to be recalled as well before somebody dies.

The power steering on my 2010 Buick Enclave stopped working slowly. I was almost unable to turn the steering wheel at all. Not only was the power steering a problem, but the "service airbag" light had been on for a couple of months. I took the car to a local dealership's service dept & told the service rep that my power steering was not working. I also asked the airbag recall be done on my car. The service rep advised me there were 2 recalls required, but the second if the 2 required she order parts. I left the car, a diagnostic was done ($119. 50) & I was told the power steering pump & steering rack would cost approximately $2,000. I had the car towed to a repair shop I have used for years and who I trust. This repair shop replaced the power steering pump, cleaned metal out of the system & filled the system in power steering fluid ($724. 00). I picked the car up & it seemed ok. Within a couple of days, the power steering failed again. This time the car had dumped power steering fluid. I had the car towed back to the same repair shop. They repaired the burst line & I picked up the car, which drove as it had before the problems began. I parked my car in my driveway with the front of the car below the rear of the car on a downward incline. The next morning, the car would not start. I called aaa and paid $90 to have the car towed again. The car was towed on a flatbed and when it arrived at the shop, it started immediately. I told the repair shop rep to park the car as I had, on an incline with the front lowered, overnight. He did & it would not start the next morning. He told me he rolled the car off of the incline & it started promptly. He suggested I take the car back to the dealer for the 2nd recall. I picked the car up and drove it for 2 days. It sounded bad, the steering stuck & the steering started making loud grinding noises & it smelled like something burning.

An audible "sloshing" sound had been detected for some time but origin/exact location of sound not identified. When parking car after driving in thunderstorm all warning systems lights flashed, radio stopped, and radio and turn signals failed. Car did restart after sitting for brief period of time and systems worked except for xm radio. Took vehicle to Buick dealer who diagnosed problem as leaking windshield, removed and reinserted fuse for xm radio, and referred to company who had replaced windshield several months before. Windshield company determined windshield not leaking, but drained water from motor blower and blew out drainage tubes. One week later, water started to pour on to passenger floor mat. Warning lights for all systems flashed and electrical system shut down and care would not restart for a few minutes (and could not connect to onstar). When car restarted, lights did work, but turn signal indicators inside car did not, nor did speedometer, power windows, passenger airbag, etc. Had to drive 60 miles to dealership without these working. Paid to have "foam seal" replaced to prevent rain from entering car (the presumed source of problem). They also claimed to have drained water from motor blower housing cleared tubing. On the way home from repair, water again poured from area of motor blower onto passenger floor mat, and once again, electrical systems not working. Buick still does not know where water is coming from, [but believes that since electrical systems working fine. . . After sitting there for 24 hrs. . . Everything is fine. Obviously it is not. I have seen numerous similar complaints online dating as far back as 3 years. I will add that this follows 2 years of dealing with stabilitrak . . . Which is supposed to be a "safety" system but can be life threatening when the car suddenly reduces power in heavy traffic and/or no maintenance lane.
