After any amount of rain, the vehicle will not shut off after turning the key to the "off" position and removing the keys. The vehicles dash lights all go off with the exception of the "check engine light". The vehicle remains running. I have to pull a fuse to get it to shut off. Then, the next morning I have to jump it to get it to start.

The 2010 Buick Enclave has been well kept. I had just purchased it and only drove it for 2 months. I was driving on the freeway at 70miles per hour then the check engine light came on and the car lost power down to 40miles I had to pull off the freeway. Almost hit. The hole system shut down it wouldn't start at all had it towed to the dealer they said the timing chain jummped and locked up your motor it will be 10 thousand to fix I dont have that kind of money so now I m paying a loan on a car that does not work.

Tl-the contact owns a 2010 Buick Enclave. The contact stated while driving at various speeds the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a independent mechanic where a diagnoses test was performed and determined that the timing chain needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred multiple times. The dealer john paul's Buick GMC 3615 s 108th st, greenfield, WI 53228 (414) 482-6246 was contacted and made aware of the failure and informed the contact that no recall was under the VIN. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided the contact with case number:9-5585597823 but no further assistance was taken. The failure mileage was approximate 114,753. Ck.
During normal commute, vehicle began bucking badly, would not accelerate and began rolling backwards. Check engine light illuminated. Shut vehicle down, restarted, and the problem seemed to clear. Brought vehicle to dealership, found codes p0011, p0014, p0021 and p0024 set. Dealership contacted gm, who acknowledged the issue but offered no fix. They are still studying the issue and have no resolution. Dealership cleared codes and released vehicle back to us. Issue may return at any time. How can I trust my family in a vehicle that may suddenly, without warning, begin bucking, stop accelerating and cause an accident? this is an unsafe condition that gm needs to address. I am disappointed that they have no resolution. Dealership referenced bulletin pip5569e, so gm acknowledges the issue. I found references from almost a year ago to this issue via google - that's very disconcerting that, in this time, gm cannot identify a fix.

About a year ago, our 2014 Buick Enclave awd, began shuddering while driving and lagging when trying to accelerate. 4 months ago, the vehicle's check engine light came on while I was on the freeway. It also displayed the "traction control off" stability control off" and "engine power reduced" signs on the dashboard. My vehicle went from 75 mph to 25 in a matter of seconds. . While I was on the freeway with my two children in the car! I was able to pull off to the side of the road, turn the car completely off and turn it back on again. This seemed to reboot the computer, but the check engine light remained on for several days. 4 months later, this has now happened about 16 additional times, 3 while on the freeway! we've replaced the throttle body, throttle body gasket, mass air full sensor, pvc valve and the power train module relay. We are continuing to have problems!! the most recent, this morning while taking my children to school. This on top of having to have the a/c evaporator replaced at least once/ year since we bought this vehicle brand new off the lot! I'm a little tired of putting my children's lives as well as my own in danger every time I take them and pick them up from school!.

Note: mileage is 1240 miles, just purchased three months ago with 54 miles on it and shipped to germany (dod civilian). While in europe, I am using the vehicles' "metric" setting (kph versus mph), which switches the speedometer to read kph and auto tunes the engine to the appropriate levels to match kph. I have been driving this vehicle for the last three weeks until the issue happened last night around 1830 hours cet. Issue: while accelerating and tuning left from a stop (stop light with the city), the engine suddenly loss power then jerked into a lower gear, but somehow got stuck in 3rd gear restricting max speed of about 25-30 mph running at 5000 rpms. After several attempts to stop, start, and proceed, I found the vehicle seem to be slipping when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear, but would not go beyond 3rd gear causing the engine to strain and rev at an unsafe levels. Tried several times to shift to "l" to manually engage the engine, but it kept changing back to "d" automatic. Also noted that when the vehicle reaches the next programmed gear shift (e. G. 2nd gear to 3rd gear) it then jerks, stalls for about 2-3 seconds, then suddenly engages 3rd gear running at extremely high rpms and never shifts beyond that. Now check engine light is on. Vehicle has never been in an accident, damaged, or wrecked.

While driving my 2013 Buick Enclave traction control, service stabili track flashes across dasboard. The check engine light comes on and engine speed is drastically reduced. Car does not accelerate properly and rpms are not producing speed. Car is lethargic and signs begin without warning. Once engine is turned off and turned back on traction control rests and display messages disappear but check engine light remains on. Temperature or weather or type of road you are driving on does not play a factor in defect of traction control stabili track.
My vehicle just turned off while at a stop sign preparing to turn. It was towed to a mechanic that advised it was 2 quarts low in oil (oil was replaced 2 weeks prior) and that my battery needed to be replaced. They added the oil and replaced the battery. I drive the car ~ 5 miles home and it stopped again. This time when trying to start the car, there was an audible screeching coming from the engine and the engine was shaking. The mechanic offered to towels the car back to their shop. After inspection, they advised that "something" was broken inside the engine and that it needed to be replaced. My car has 75,000 miles on it; has had regular maintenance; there were no check engine lights and/or over heating lights. I was also advised by the mechanic that this is a common known issue with Buick. I'm now left with having to pay anywhere from $7500-$8500 to replace an engine on a vehicle that I've had for 2 years.

When accelerating engine will shudder, lose power and drive very bumpy. I have taken vehicle for service. We have replaced all filters, points and plugs. Given the vehicle a tune up and the problem has not ceased. The check engine light is not illuminated so the computer does not give the repair shop the information it needs to repair whatever may be occurring with the engine.
Check engine light came on, originally read the codes as cylinder misfire 1,3,5. Timing chain inside the engine is stretched and means a very costly repair at 145k miles. Very common problem with these.
My 2013 Buick Enclave started having problems back in December. When I was driving all of the sudden the car chimed about 3 times then all the sudden the dashboard read the following: 1. Engine power is reduced 2. Service traction control off 3. Service stabilitrak 4. The engine light comes on at the same time, the engine power started to die down and I was barely moving. It was hard to steer and all power functions greatly reduced. Once I shut it off and restarted the car my check engine light stayed on but it switched from traction control off to traction control on. Then I was able to continue driving again. I bought this vehicle thinking it was a good family car but now after dealing with this problem and seeing all the complaints online and nothing being done, no recall, I made a bad choice. My children were with me when this happend a few times and we were almost rear ended because of it. The car literally stops working. This is a very dangerous problem and is not uncommon to GMC vehicles. I do not feel safe driving this car. I don't understand why GMC has not identified the problem. I am taking it to nimnicht dealership tomorrow in jacksonville. Hopefully they have some real answers before this car ends up killing me or someone else. Very disappointed GMC after reading all the complaints and nothing being done.
The initial complaint was the check engine light and a repair was made that didnt fix the problem. The light came back on while driving and it was the timing chain and it needed to be replaced. The vehicle only had 47,000 miles on it.
I bought this vehicle July of 2017 probably about 6 months driving my radio makes a loud static noise and then no sound not even blinker sounds. I get in it later that day crank it it's fine. Then begin to have intermittent cranking issues crank it nothing everything on the dash blacks out nothing nothing happens turn the key back turn it back over it cranks that still seems to be a problem it still does that. Then a few months later my liftgate just opens by itself that has happened on several occasions I just been wake up in the morning the and the liftgate is open. One morning my husband wakes up to go to work and goes outside my car has actually remote start itself I was just sitting in the yard running like somebody remote started it but no one was up to do that. At night when I go to bed I don't lock my vehicle because I'm afraid it may be auto started the next morning when I get up and now my check engine light is on with my service traction control and service stabilitrak light the engine is giving the code for injectors 2 4 and 6. P204 202 206. These lights will randomly come on and go off and when their own the vehicle won't start bog down and try to cut off or cut off it doesn't want to stay running came to a red light three days ago those lights come on in the middle of pulling off from a red light it was green so I was pulling away car just shuts off put it put it in park crank it up drives right off.

This car is a mess. It didn't pass the state emission test sticker. The traction control system in conjunction with the stability track control system. Are bringing up a check engine light with error code p0174 and p0171. Every time those system showed up in the instrument panel I got a follow up check engine light. I don't know what the problem is and two GMC Buick dealer have said different fix method. Very back for me. They want to fix different problems. They don't know what the real problem is. They are guessing.
The stabilizer system is showing a warning light. Saying : the stabilizer system need service. At the same time the tire pressure symbol light come on and the check engine light follow and stays on. Showing 3 error codes p0700 - p0174 - p 0171. This is like one error code pull the other. Then the next day the light is gone, when you come and start the car and then after several hour the light comes back again.
Vehicle hesitation while accelerating. Check engine light comes on. Code was p0008 requiring new timing chanis to be installed for $3,200. Vehicle only has 80k miles on it.
Sevice stabiltrak light and check engine lightcame on and engine power loss while traveling down freeway. Check out many videos and forums of issues https://youtu. Be/hbvaoiixnxy.
The check engine light came up on my 2010 Buick Enclave cxl approximately 3 months ago (September 2017), however, when I went to get the check engine light diagnosed it turned off. This came back on in October 2017, but because it happened late at night I decided to go to a local autozone and they ran a diagnostic and informed me that it indicated that it was the timing chain and needed to be replaced. When I took this to the local dealer, the check engine light was no longer on, and they indicated they could not accept the diagnostic from the local autozone. The check engine has again turned on (December 2017) and indicates that there is a bad timing chain that need to be replaced. Earlier Enclave models had this issue, and the manufacturer extended the warranty to replace the timing chain to 10 years or 120,000. In all three cases, the vehicle was in motion when the check engine came up.
2009 Buick Enclave, stretched timing chain so when this code appears your car will drive rough and of course the check engine light comes on so you lose your remote start. I have replaced sensor after sensor as well, also a motor mount. The vehicle has now approached 150k miles.
My 2010 Buick blew a puff of white smoke and then lost power on a busy street with my wife and kids in the car. Luckily my wife managed to get it pulled off the side of the road without being hit by other cars. A gm mechanic replaced one injector at $510. 00 and said we were good to go. The check engine light came on 2 days later and that code showed the timing chain. Now, the Buick dealership wants $3000. 00 to put a new timing chain in it. $3000. 00 is only if there is nothing else wrong!!! why is this problem not a manufacture recall?!.
Tl-the contact owns 2010 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, depressing the accelerator pedal the vehicle would hesitate, with the traction warning light illuminated as well as the check engine warning light. The contact mentioned the failure occurred on several occasions. The contact stated that the vehicle has taken to several independent mechanics where diagnostic testing was done on vehicle and indicating that the timing chain needed to be replaced. The vehicle has not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000. Aa.
Check engine light came on at 71000 miles. After two separate diagnostic checks at two different locations, both matched with diagnosis of issue with a bad timing chain. Vehicle is tagged as 2010 even though label inside car shows as being actually having been manufactured in 09/2009. Discussions with dealership where purchased and Buick themselves led to no action in terms of warranty/recall/special conditions coverage - even though this was a known issue on the Enclaves produced between 2007-2009. Initial estimates for the work, including labor exceeding $3000. Nhtsa 10052863 shows that 2008-2012 Buick Enclaves and the availability of 3 service kits for high feature v6 engine applications. Further, it shows that these kits should be used on vehicles covered under the terms of the any warranty or special coverage terms. Yet for some reason, the 2010 hasn't been assigned 'special coverage' terms.
At 90k miles vehicle had check engine light along with warning for stabilitrak and traction control. Later that day the vehicle shook and stalled at a red light. The Buick dealer identified timinig chain and timing actuator as issues. These parts were replaced under an extended warranty that we purchased. At 104k miles the check engine light is on again; the dealer says it is the same timing chain that needs to be replace. But this gm nor the dealer can explain why the timing chain failed after only 14k miles of use. Timing chain appears to be an issue on 2008 Enclave even though gm has refused to cover them. Also it appears the replacement parts are not any better.
In 2016, and again in 2020 after the dealer first fixed the issue, while driving at high speeds, on highways, also in the rain, again at a stop light, the vehicle suddenly decelerated, causing the potential for a very serious accident. The warnings then displayed on the dash included reduced engine power, service stabilitrak, service traction control, and traction control off. The vehicle only then drove at slow speeds, sputtered and jerked, and felt like it might stall. When able to pull over, at times turning off the car reversed the problem. Sometimes the check engine light was on, sometimes it wasnt. Sometimes it would drive fine and then out of nowhere, it would happen again. In 2016, the dealership had a difficult time finding the issue. After several days of driving it, they identified the problem as a fuse box issue and replaced the fuse box. This seemed to fix the issue until it happened again in 2020 while driving. On a road trip, it happened while on a highway, again at a red light, and while on a highway again. Each time, we pulled over, turned the car off for a while. One time in particular, the issue didn't go away after turning the car back on.
The contact owns a 2011 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the power steering malfunctioned causing the steering wheel to become difficult to turn. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the power steering pump needed to be replaced. The power steering pump was replaced and the failure was remedied. The contact also indicated that while operating the vehicle, the check engine light had illuminated. The mechanic diagnosed that the timing change needed to be repaired. The failure was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.

Check engine light came on at 70000 miles. Brought into dealer and told stretched timing chain. Although gm has an extended warranty on many of these engines in the Enclave, I was told that mine was not a part of the qualified batch for the extended warranty and that all costs would be out of pocket. I am currently stuck with a vehicle that needs over $3500 in repairs on a known issue for this engine. The vehicle will not pass needed emissions testing and is as such undrivable.
Check engine light came on while driving on the interstate highway, the vehicle lost power, reducing the speed to 35 mph in a 70 mph interstate. The vehicle cut off and would not restart. It was towed to the repair shop which identified it as timing chain stretched. On-line research shows that the timing chain has been an issue with Buick, and they extended the power train warranty to cover repairs for the 2008-2009 model. It appears that the same or similar problem is occurring with the 2010 model. A major issue when you are traveling at 70 mph and suddenly your engine loses power and you find yourself doing only 35mph with no power and then it stops suddenly.
Check engine light came on. Repair shop identified it as timing chain stretched. On-line research shows that the timing chain has been an issue with Buick, and they extended the power train warranty to cover repairs for the 2008-2009 model. It appears that the same or similar problem is occurring with the 2010 model. The problem did not manifest itself until after the 5 year/100,000 m warranty expired. The dealership confirmed the problem was a stretched timing chain and replaced it. However, it appears that this is a recurring problem with the vehicle.
I was driving at 75 mph and my engine shut off; car began to slow, fuel dropped, power steering went out, brakes didn't work. I was able to, thankfully, get to the side of the road safely and use the rumble strips to slow me down. I turned the car off and 5 min. Later turned it on and was able to drive to a safe location. This is a common issue and all of these conditions are related to the "limited warranty protection" that gm issued Nov. 2015 (14582). This is a safety hazard. My car experienced all the other condition, malfunction indicator light came on multiple times ( may, sept), was issued a letter in Nov. 2015 and then this occurred in Jan. 2016. Stipulation for this to be covered, under 120k miles of 10 years whichever first. My car experienced initial troubles at 110k in may and this potential fatal incident at 125. Arguing with gm over this. Should be a recall, not a limited warranty. Seems to be an unethical company. Does it take death to make this right? this has occurred countlesss times- check the internet, 100s of customers have reported this. Does this have to be another Toyota incident for gm to recognize this is a recall not a limited warranty! I have all paperwork showing the issues except dealer states since they can't replicate, they need the check engine light on and the car to be under 120k to determine if they should pay. Gm is unethical!!!.
Car spuddering on acceleration and inclines. Check engine light on. Needs all spark plugs and coils replaced again. Codes p0300, p0302, p0303 stored. Miss fire on 2 and 3 cyclinders. Also, needs replace line and recharge system as ac discharge line is leaking.
Check engine light went on. Car was seemingly working alright, however, after fueling up, it was difficult to restart the car. In fact, at the last fill up I was unable to start the car for over 20 minutes while at the gas pump. This caused a great deal of anger, frustration, and rage in the other drivers who were waiting to fuel their cars at very busy gas station near lax. The dealership stated the fuel sensors needed to be replaced at a total cost of $1700. 00. Two months prior the air conditioner/heater required repair as a hose needed to be replaced due to a leak, a $425 repair, furthermore, the steering problem we seemingly had corrected 3 years ago is occurring again and is need of another repair. And lastly, 50% of the time when I turn off the engine and pull the key out of the car, the engine continues to run. The occurred around 80-85,000 miles.
I have an 08' Enclave and I live in wisconsin, today I started my vehicle and proceeded to drive and about 2-3 minutes into the ride, the vehicle rapidly began to slow down and the vehicle began to jerk. The check engine light and the stability-track light both came on during the jerking and slowing down of my vehicle. The dic strolls the following message "reduce engine power and service engine. " I drove my vehicle all the way home and the entire time I was unable to drive no more than 20 miles per hour even though my foot was completely down on the gas pedal. This is my only transportation and im hoping that there is a recall for this issue because I googled the problems with my vehicle and apparently im not the only one with this problem.
The contact owns a 2008 Buick Enclave. While driving 50 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated. In addition, the accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to accelerate over 40 mph and the rpms increased. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 124,000.
Check engine light came on and vehicle suddenly reduced speed while driving on residential street. Message displayed on panel, "engine speed is reduced. " in a separate issue, we were advised by the dealership to keep driving the vehicle even if the check engine light appears to empty out the fuel. The dealership believes the fuel is bad. This may be related to the first issue, but I am unsure.
