The car shuts off at random when coming out of autostop, the car will disable power steering when coming out of autostop to make turns making it difficult to turn the steering wheel. Coming out of autostop is typically when you are trying to go or make a turn. This has been an ongoing issue that happens often. The issues began around 60k miles.

Vehicle would not go into park fortunately we were in a safe location to avoid a possible accident or injury. The vehicle has electronic transmission shifting. According to the dealership the park solenoid in the transmission valve body failed. This prevented us from putting the vehicle in park so it could safely be shut off. We were able to set electronic parking brake but ignition continued to remain on. Eventually had to disconnect the negative battery terminal. Had vehicle towed to dealership but could not release electric park bake or start vehicle with battery terminal reconnected. This is becoming a common problem with this transmission, so common that parts are on back order. This could be a very unsafe problem with this vehicle in the right circumstance. There should be a recall on this transmit that is used on multiple gm vehicles.

The contact owns a 2008 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that the vehicle had failed to start intermittently. The contact stated that upon attempting to turn off the vehicle, the vehicle failed to turn off. The contact stated that her husband who was a mechanic had inspected underneath the hood and noticed that the wiring harness underneath the engine was melting. The contact's husband scanned the vehicle with a vehicle scanner and retrieved diagnostic trouble codes that indicated a computer module failure. The contact's husband purchased the module, and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the module was installed and flashed; however, the failure persisted. Additionally, the contact's husband diagnosed that the wiring harness failure had caused the battery to overcharge and to fail. The contact's husband replaced the battery and the alternator; however, the failure persisted. Additionally, the contact stated that the liftgate struts had failed, causing the lift gate to close unintendedly after being lifted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

I didn’t have any accidents but I when to many mechanics shops and each saying that it is an electrical problem with my 2008 Buick Enclave cxl 3. 6 also an issue with the airbag on the dash it showing service airbag soon I brought this car a couple of years ago and the airbag light was on when I brought it. I had taken to alpena mi. Buick GMC address 133 johnson st alpena mi. 49707. When the warning come up on the message center on the dash 28/3/24 that said service side detection system and in the side mirrors each side light up all the time and would cost $875. 00 installed at that time had to pay $80. 19 inspect and advise. At that time was unable to afford that cost to have fixed. So with those light on in your mirrors it was a unsafe to drive in daylight hours and worse in night time driving so we had to limit our driving because of this and both my wife and myself are on disability. . It was a distraction and made for unsafe travel for ourselves and for other drivers on the roads. We were able to afford on 02/04/24 and at time was taken back to. The same dealership for repair at that time they installed the side detection kit cost was $812. 66 which was less then the original cost. Question number 2 with this lights on in your mirrors at all times when we would be driving day and night it was a big distraction that you never would know if someone was in the next lane to you on two lane road or on the interstate. So each person was at risk in our vehicle as well as other vehicles. Question number 3 yes that was confirmed by alpena Buick GMC the dealer I had taken the car to back on 28/3/24 . Question number 4 as far as it being a gm dealer and being a gm part I would say yes. Question 5 yes as I told you in q neeuestion 1 it had on the message center in dash service side detection as well as lights on in both mirrors. In my words this is a reason this should be a recall first for people that are driving and can't afford to have fixed this is a accidents waiting to happen with death please do a recall.

The entire audio system went out, including the radio, blinkers, lane detection, crash detection, back up indicators, onstar, anything related to any kind of sound whatsoever to the vehicle does not work. The issue that we have discovered is the wiring harnesses in the doors are filling with water and shorting the entire system.

The rear switch on our tailgate has failed and it allows the tailgate to open/close randomly on its own while the vehicle is locked even. I contacted Buick about the problem and they said didn’t care, but this can happen while the vehicle is moving down the road as well as when parked. It’s not necessarily a typical safety issue that are normally recalled for, but it does pose significant safety issues if you want your car to be locked and you come back from the store and it’s not and people are free to break it or if it were to happen while moving. We had this happen on our car at around 38,000 miles. From reading other Buick forums to try and figure out what the cause is, it sounds like it’s a somewhat common occurrence. It’s alarming that it can open while the vehicle is locked.

The cooling fan motor assembly is shorting out internally & blowing the 70 amp fuse dedicated to that circuit. Mustreplace fan assembly and fuse to correct this concern.

If any warning light comes on such as my add air to a tire (it always tells me the wrong tire), all of the warning lights start flashing. Things shut off (radio, dash lights, backup camera) and sometimes the car will shut completely down and come back on. I am afraid to drive very far.

While driving down the road, the locks on the doors will suddenly lock, unlock, lock and unlock. After that the engine slows way down losing power, then it will be okay to give it more gas and it speeds up. The last couple of times this happened, the car lost all power and stahled.

My vehicle stalls for no reason. The engine power is redused, stabilitrack, and traction control lights come on. The vehicle stalls in the middle of traffic. The brake and steertng wheel don't work when the engine stalls. The seatbelt and airbag light comes on. I went to get that repaired and the dealer told me that the repair time period had expired.

Engine reduced, traction control, and stabilitytrak lights came on 11/3/2023. Car died on me while I was sitting in traffic. Took car to firestone on 11/9. They stated car needed oil change and tune up. On 11/17/2023 while in the line at a drive through lights came on again and car died in drive thru. Car was towed back to firestone. Firestone said it was pulling codes they didn't know and the car needed to go a Buick dealer. Towed car to bob brown Buick on 11/24/2023 bob brown said car just needed a battery. After one hour the car lights popped on again and car died in the middle of the street. Towed car back to bob brown another diagnosis was completed and was told I needed a catalyst converter. Towed car to midas and paid another diagnosis. Midas fixed 3 gaskets and sensors. Car died again driving down the street going 35mph almost causing an accident. This electrical problem is very dangerous and unsafe.

When starting our 2020 Buick Enclave I noticed the low voltage battery light stayed illuminated after startup. A message followed on the message center located in the center of the gauge cluster. The message read service electrical charging system. Followed by a message stating low voltage vehicle MA stall. This particular vehicle only has 38,000 miles on it and I have not experienced any issues with the electrical charging system prior to this incident. There have been no indication as to the battery or alternator failing (ex. Dim lights, flickering lights, malfunctioning electronics/electrical equipment, unusual noises coming from engine bay). I acknowledged the messages with the button on the steering wheel. I proceeded to drive and the low voltage light went off shortly after. I proceeded to drive approximately 75 miles without incident. Shortly before arriving at my destination the low voltage warning light illuminated and the messages appeared on the center screen on the instrument screen. I again acknowledged the messages ,but this time the low voltage light stayed illuminated until I shut the vehicle off at my destination. I visually inspected the battery post, connections, serpentine belt, and alternator. Nothing looked out of the ordinary and all connections were tight and free from corrosion. Nothing smelled burnt as it would if wiring overheated or alternator. I proceeded to start the vehicle. The vehicle started without hesitation and the low voltage light was not illuminated. I proceeded to drive to a local parts store which was a couple of miles away. On the way to the parts store the low voltage light came on and the messages appeared. I left the vehicle running at the parts store. The employee tested both alternator and battery. The alternator was showing that it was failing only producing 8. 6 volts to the battery while the vehicle was running. I proceeded to leave the store. At this point all electrical shutdown simultaneously. Vehicle to be towed.

The infotainment system locks up. Its like all features are on mute. I can't use phone, radio, contact onstarr or use navigation system I have a heart condition, when this freezes I have no way to reach help. The dealership has tried multiple fixes, they say they are just seller, gm is the manufacturer. Gm no longer takes my calls. They have blocked all my numbers. There is no warning, it just stops working gm suggests I turn off vehicle, get out wait 20 minutes and the system should reset, I have tried to disconnect my phone from bluetooth and they seek each other out and reconnect. I live very rural, 20+ miles to anywhere. I have no way to get help.

Alternator produce too much electricity. Energy travels through power cable. There is a 200 amp fuse attached to power cable. 200 amp fuse did not function. Sending too much energy two air compressor burning up air compressor. Melting also of power cable. Spitzer Buick of findlay ohio told me I was lucky I brought it in when I did "potential fire". Power cable is made in china according to the tag that's attached to the power cable.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be duplicated; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 28,500.

At 65,000 transmission went out 100,000 electrical issue due to lose ground wire under fuse box 121,000 electrical issue caused battery to drain and vehicle not turn off. Even if key out of ignition 121,000 driver side curtain airbags deployed when battery replaced.

There are a couple of issues causing our concerns about the car. 1. Alternator - the alternator was reported went bad after only 4 years of usage, the dealer refused to pay the fixing cost for this. Due to the failure of the alternator, the car lost all the power in the middle of the road with our entire family in the car during the night, very dangerous. The car suddenly stopped at the road with 50mph speed limit. 2. Engine and catalytic converter pipe - the engine light is on due to abnormal feeling of the engine power, the dealer could not fix the issue in weeks and no rental car provided and we were asked to drive the car home and waiting for order status of the parts. 3. Exhaust system failure - the dealer mentioned the welding of the connection is bad ( still under warranty ) but refused to fix it but ask the customer to pay for the replacement and labor.

The contact owns a 2010 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle suddenly shut off. The contact stated that the ecm warning light had remained illuminated. Additionally, there was a burning odor inside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who discovered water and mold under the carpet and electrical components submerged in the water. The cause of the failure was not yet determined, and the vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 144,000.

The rear liftgate locking mechanism failed to latch causing cargo to exit the vehicle where the car behind this car smashed into the cargo causing an accident. For whatever reason the rear door will not lock at all. The fuse was perfectly fine, appears the actuator is defective. No warning was given because the rear liftgate was open and unlatched. After realizing the gate would not close it would notify it was open but the power liftgate operates just fine, and when you activate it, it will push the gate closed and not give a warning until maybe you hit a bump in the road.

The seat caught on fire. Origin of fire started in the seat according to fire officials.

2015 Buick Enclave with 19k miles on it and the ac just broke and freon sprayed through the vents while driving. Almost caused an accident as we couldnt breathe and had to pull over.

Passenger side rear electronic parking brake wire clip failed, wire is rubbing against the rear cv boot. This caused a short that led to defective abs control module that had to be replaced for anti-skid and anti-roll for this SUV. It also affected the transmission alert system. Brakes are not stopping in time they are continuously scrubbing I have changed brakes and rotors and they are continuously scrubbing and not allowing me to stop in time nearly almost ran off the road I have got my brakes inspected but mechanic say there was nothing wrong the place I took it to but there is something wrong with the brakes. There is a electrical problem when it rains things stopped working inside the car every time it rains like my speakers my warning sensors things in that sort. There's also an acceleration issue it is not catching speed it's been doing this since I got the car how to basically mash it to the floor just for the vehicle to go.

On February 27, 2023 while on the road in the morning heading to work I stopped at a red light. When the light turned green my 2011 Buick GMC Enclave hesitated when I proceeded to accelerate. My vehicle moved slightly then without notice it stopped in the middle of a busy road as several cars backed up behind me as my check engine light came on. Also, while my foot was on the brakes, my vehicle was rolling backwards. In lieu to this hazard to myself and other drivers I placed my vehicle in park. My vehicle was towed at my own out of pocket expense of $125. 00 in addition to $16. 99 for a lyft ride home. Two days later the auto shop informed me they checked my battery and alternator and both was good. They continued to tell me they drove my vehicle and it did not cut off or stop running. I informed them I don’t feel safe knowing my vehicle shut off without notice could they check it again. They kept my vehicle another day and they stated no codes showed up again that they can point to a specific issue. Again, another out of pocket diagnostic expense of $125. 00. On 02/28/23 I contacted autonation Buick GMC laurel to inquire if there has been a recall in place. The representative stated there was no recall in place. After extensive research and review to my ultimate shocking surprise I see numerous complaints have been expressed with Buick GMC from consumers and previous customers outlining their concerns and this hazardous life threatening situation of their Buick stopping without notice. Buick GMC is aware of this repeated life threatening and dangerous issue from consumers and from previous customers year after year after year. Buick GMC nevertheless still remains silent and have taken no actions no remedy no recourse about amending and correcting the dangers of their manufactured vehicles. Subsequently, Buick GMC have not taken the necessary steps to implement a recall.

The battery, which is housed within the passenger compartment, began emitting fumes that caused passengers to experience physical symptoms of nausea and headache, followed by smoke and extreme heat. We realized what was going on and turned off the engine before it caught fire, but there were no warning lights on the dash and no messages from the vehicle itself. Initially we thought it was a smell outside of the vehicle. Even the vehicle app diagnostics don't report any kind of an issue.

The passenger side seat air bag exploded and burned my daughter’s back while she was getting into the car. The car was in park and auto started. My son was sitting in the back seat behind her while this happened. She has 1st and 2nd degree burns and thankfully my son is okay. The car has been sitting in my driveway since that day. I have contacted the dealership and gm as well as my personal insurance. Gm is moving very slow and stated they would send someone to look at my vehicle within 7-10 days from yesterday . The investigation could take 30-60 days before we have an answer. We are currently on day 11 since this happened. Insurance doesn’t want to touch it until gm or the dealership looks at it and determines if it is a malfunction. The safety of my kids and family is definitely a priority and the fact that this happened is scary. The loudness of the explosion was like a gunshot inside the vehicle and the fire that came out of it is insane. Literally looked like a firework. With the airbag deployed I am sure the seatbelts are now compromised but either way I will not risk my life or anyone else’s and step foot in it. The car was looked at by local law enforcement and pictures were taken. The car is available for inspection but the dealership hasn’t called me back and gm is following their protocol and has no hurry. The airbag light had come on the week prior to this happening and had gone back off. I also had the tire pressure lights go on and back off twice in the past couple of months.

Hello, I’m writing concerning my Buick Enclave 2015. We have had it to dealership for side detection system failure in the past & are now incurring the same failure again! this is a big safety concern & hazard. Poor workmanship on general motors/Buick.

I purchased my vehicle in 2020. In 2022 I experienced an issue where my car stopped in the middle of the road without warning. Despite several attempts to try and move the vehicle off of the road the police were notified and my vehicle was towed. The vehicle gave an error code that conditions not met for driving. One office tried to put the vehicle in neutral but the wheels locked and the shifter was locked as well. The battery has been replaced 3 different times since I have owned the vehicle. A mechanic friend of mine (who is a trainer for GMC) hooked his computer up to it and found no issues. He did find a loose wire which he the reconnected. I was able to drive my car for 6 months before the same thing happened, same situation the vehicle just stopped in the middle of the road only this time I couldn't turn the vehicle off, we had to manually disconnect the battery and again the police came out due to traffic hold up. My car was towed twice afterwards as I could get the car running for a few minutes before another error. To date my car has been sitting in my driveway since March of this year, this time it won't hold a charge and will not even start. Im not sure if this is an engine or an electrical issue. I did call 2 Buick dealerships that told me that it would take about 5 hours to diagnose the issue where I would be charged per hour at the mechanic hourly rate. At this point I think my vehicle needs to be recalled, even if I could get it repaired I dont feel safe driving it. Thankfully it stopped on a minor freeway and no major incidents occurred.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the transmission specialist test drove the vehicle and was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the gear was burnt, and the transmission needed to be replaced. Additionally, the contact stated that the air bag warning lights, charging system and the radio system malfunctioned. The contact stated that he suspects that the electrical system had malfunctioned however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired.
