The contact owns a 2025 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that a software update was required. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the brake master cylinder. The vehicle was not repaired due to parts being on backorder. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to service update: n242482170. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 650.
In driver info center messages displayed are esc “this is anti lock cracking system not working”. Steering assist reduced “this is lane departure steering assist not working” parking brake. “not working” also cruise control is not working Buick service tells me this has happened often enough in other vehicles that there is a repair bulletin on it. Also the initial cost to repair is $3000 + if this bulletin repair fixes the problem if not there would be more costs. This vehicle is within the 36 month bumper to bumper warranty period but has recently exceeded the 36000 mile warranty threshold. I have already paid for the initial part so it could be ordered.
We bought this 2020 Buick Enclave from pinegar Chevrolet in republic, mo from the preowned side of the dealership. When we test drove it only in the parking lot it didn't make any noises, but as soon as we drove off the lot after purchase the brakes made a noise as if the anti lock brake system was not working properly making it difficult to stop as the car should. We also was told that since this is a preowned and not a certified preowned that it was sold as is no warranty. I believe gm needs to fix this issue ASAP or the dealership needs to either buy the car back or put us into something with a warranty that doesn't have safety issues. We bought this as our family vehicle and I don't believe it is road worthy or safe to be transporting my family in.

The brake system abs module/sensor malfunctions- yes it is available for further inspection. Safety is an issue due to the abs indicator light on. Yes, the problem/issue has been confirmed by a dealership. No inspections have occurred other than the dealership. The only warning is the light indicator for the brakes, parking abs.

Was driving at 35 mph with no other cars or obstructions in front of me and the vehicle suddenly slammed on the brakes on its own and the throttle became inactive (would not respond to inputs). I don't know if the vehicle slammed on the parking brake or the service brakes. After 30 or so seconds everything returned to normal. No lights are illuminated on the dash, but a light did come on when the vehicle braked on its own. The light turned off before I could see what it was.
The contact owns a 2014 Buick Enclave. The contact stated he received an unknown recall notice for the service brakes ; however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at a undisclosed speed, he depressed the brake pedal and the vehicle slid. The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2018 Buick Enclave. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 mph, and at any speed, when the contact depressed the brake pedal the vehicle brakes would emit an abnormally loud high pitched grinding or squeaking noise by all four brakes. The contact stated that the noise was loud enough that pedestrians would turn and look at his vehicle when he depressed the brake pedal. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where the sound was being emitted and could not repair the failure. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

Passenger side rear electronic parking brake wire clip failed, wire is rubbing against the rear cv boot. This caused a short that led to defective abs control module that had to be replaced for anti-skid and anti-roll for this SUV. It also affected the transmission alert system. Pdf?1678916531 from shop: "continued working with the electronic parking brake system used gm techline connect to attempt to reprogram the ebcm because of the programming error dtc. After programming we also performed the module configuration procedure and although e removed the programming error, the system is still reporting a failure with the left parking brake circuit. All circuits have been checked. The current hypothesis is that the electronic brake control module (ebcm) has failed internally. This likely occurred when the actuator wiring became exposed and allowed the wiring to short together. : https://s3. Amazonaws. Brakes are not stopping in time they are continuously scrubbing I have changed brakes and rotors and they are continuously scrubbing and not allowing me to stop in time nearly almost ran off the road I have got my brakes inspected but mechanic say there was nothing wrong the place I took it to but there is something wrong with the brakes. There is a electrical problem when it rains things stopped working inside the car every time it rains like my speakers my warning sensors things in that sort. There's also an acceleration issue it is not catching speed it's been doing this since I got the car how to basically mash it to the floor just for the vehicle to go.

As my husband was backing out of the garage to the east and turning the back end to the north so we could head forward out of our drive which is on a curve, the car accelerated and the brakes would not work. We went backwards down a very steep drive that goes to our machine shed and towards the bottom we were stopped by a tree. We could have suffered head trauma from the abrupt stop. If we had been backing out of the drive or a parking place, since we couldn’t stop, there could have been others involved and severe injuries. I called the sheriff’s office and they filed a report. Our insurance agent came out and took pictures. I called general motors Buick and they opened a case. The car was towed to the body shop the dealership we bought it from uses. We noticed no warning lights or messages on the dash. After everyone left, I got on my computer and there were 2 diagnostic warning emails. One for the antilock brakes and the other for the stabilitrac control systems,.
I have a 2022 Buick Enclave avenir. I purchased the car Dec 2021. I received a low pressure indicator October 26, 2022 in which I had the tire repaired. The brakes started grinding in December of 2022. I took it to the local dealership several times and have called to report the issue as well. On one visit the brake pads were repaired because of a bulletin received from gm. A few days after the replacement, the brakes are still grinding. (see attached documents) I called the dealership again and was told, I assure you that you are not the only one. There are at least 4-5 other customers in my area having the same issue and there is nothing the dealership can do until they receive instructions from gm. What can be done about this? I am concerned with this issue and would like to see it resolved or get a replacement. I have not received a follow up call regarding this issue from the local dealership or gm. My family is important to me and I am not comfortable continuing to own this vehicle without a resolve.

While driving at highway speed, service traction control/stabilitrak warning comes on. Vehicle slows and if driver attempts to accelerate (using accelerator pedal), it causes severe lurching of vehicle. This makes the vehicle basically undrivable while in the middle of traffic. You must use emergency measures to pull over (potentially across multiple lanes) off the road and while trying to do that, you are in a very high risk state of being hit. The problem is reproduceable. The manufacturer and dealer service centers are aware of this problem and it has been reported by many owners of gm vehicles since at least 2010. Search the internet and you will find hundreds of incidents being reported.

My 2022 Buick Enclave was involved in a minor accident that was a stop and go traffic . The car is supposed to have anti collision sensors in the front grill but the car did not stop or slow down and no warning lights went off , also from the hood had a buckled bacl along with the front fenders and pushed both fenders back a little enough to prevent either front door from opening had to exit through the back seat if the car had caught on fire a person would have not survived , all parts in accident where replaced by the body shop and Buick dealer had to recalibrate the collision equipment thanks for any help jeff quicksell.
The electronic parking brake has had multiple apparent malfunctions and one complete failure. On several occasions the parking brake failed to disengage completely with multiple warning dash lights illuminating. One such incident apparently self-corrected after being left parked overnight our semi-heated garage, with another incident only partially disengaged the parking brake with warning lights indicating a parking brake malfunction, and after driving two to three miles returning home the right rear brake was baking hot. The latest malfunction was a complete failure of the parking brake to engage at all, with the warning lights again illuminating and would be an obvious danger while parking. The vehicle is just over four years old and was two-and-a-half months out of warranty at the time of failure, and had/has 5,121 miles. It has now been waiting at the dealership for repairs for four weeks, awaiting a parking brake control module which they cannot give any timeline for delivery or arrival. It is unknown if the brake control module for the parking brake has any control or effect on the service brakes, so the vehicle is sitting at the dealership collecting dust, unusable to us.
The car has an auto-stop feature however at times, when the car is stopped, the entire electrical and engine shuts down even while the car is in drive. The driver must restart the car and put the car into park and then back into drive. When the car restarts, several lights/messages turn on including "service transmission" and the "service parking brake" message and parking break light. This is a safety and hazard issue as it has happened while in traffic on the freeway when at a standstill.
Brakes started grinding at 1000 miles. I will filed a complaint with the dealership and hope they record it. Now I have approximately 2100 miles on the car and it continues to sound and feel like my brake pad and rotor on the right front are grinding every time I apply the brakes. On July 23 2021 an own coming 18 wheeler did not see me and made a left turn in front of me at the traffic light . I step on the brakes lightly to stop but the car made the metal to metal sound and kept moving forward. So I had to jam on the brakes to stop. All wheels slid forward immediately except the front right. I think different brake pads and rotors are needed on this vehicle. This is definitely a safety issue to all drivers as well as others that are on the road.

The contact owns a 2019 Buick Enclave. The contact stated while driving downhill, he shifted to a lower gear and was depressing on the brake pedal however, the vehicle inadvertently accelerated. The contact also stated that the rpm was very high. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated he continued driving but had to stop 5 times to allow the vehicle to cool down. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer. The mechanic found no failure with the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
While on free way transmission stopped functioning properly after exit unable to move vehicles in gear. Dealer said it was a computer programming issue. Another instance 9 months later care emergency break would not dis engage even after shutting vehicle off and restarting several times that transmission would stop shifting soon received messages dealer said it was a computer programming error .
No accident. I bought this brand new car on may 29, 2021, and have been experiencing brake issues. When I apply the brakes, there is a weird noise, grinding type and it feels like there is less traction (like when slowing down on snow). I have to apply more pressure to my brakes to slow the vehicle and come to a stop. The problem occurs quite often.
The Buick did a hard turn to the left, without any action of the driver, and went into an uncontrollable counterclockwise spin and hit the concrete divider. Prior to the accident the Buick was traveling in the right south bound lane of us 75 with the traffic flow. There was a light rain and no one was changing lanes or speeding. No other vehicle skidded or went out of control. The cause of the accident was not the weather or driver error. Possible causes for the accident are: faulty steering system, faulty antiskid system, or a computer glitch. The dealer would not talk to us. The Buick has not been inspected. No one will inspect it.
When applying the brakes it sounds lile metal on metal.
I have a 2021 Buick Enclave premium purchased 01. 03. 2021from alden Buick-GMC been having problems with my brakes when I apply my brakes I have a brake noise grinding growling noise coming from the brakes. Took vehicle to dealership today 06. 01. 2021. Was told cause is composition of brake material, dealers informed by gm not to replace any parts or attempt any repairs at this time. Was informed vehicle is safe to drive and gm engineering is working on a solution to this concern. I am concerned should the brakes not work properly when applied causing an accident. Would like to know if NHTSA is aware of this problem on the 2021 Buick Enclaves and 2021 Cadillac xt5-xt6, 2021 Chevrolet blazer, traverse, and 2021 GMC acadia? would like to know if NHTSA feels it is safe to drive?.
When I drive my Buick Enclave after it sits for any length of time, if I apply the brakes, I have a loud grinding type sound and I notice the noise continues as I do my shopping and it does not always go away. I took this vehicle to the Buick dealership and I was told that general motors is aware of the problem and they (gm) were trying to find a solution to the noise. Also, I was told that I can continue to drive this vehicle as it would pose no safety issues. I find it unnerving to drive a vehicle with noisy brakes and I inquired when gm finds a fix will I be contacted? I was told to call back periodically to see how gm has decided to correct the noise problem. As of this writing I have only 684 miles on this Buick Enclave. I do feel this issue is worthy of consideration by the NHTSA 05/05/2021.
Brakes started grinding at 300 miles. I have filed a complaint with dealership who did record it and advised that it was a known issue that gm is working to resolve. I now have approximately 2000 miles on the car and it continues to sound and feel like my brakes are grinding every time I apply the brakes. Occasionally, when I apply the brakes and they are making the grinding feeling - it feels as if the vehicle is not wanting to slow down and I need to apply more pressure to my brakes. This definitely would be a safety issue to the driver as well as others that are on the road.
The contact owns a 2011 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle on a slight incline with the transmission in drive, the vehicle would roll backwards down the hill. During the failure, the brakes and power steering also became inoperable. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer carl black Chevrolet Buick GMC (11500 east colonial dr, orlando, FL 32817) was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 138,000. The VIN was not available.
I purchased this vehicle (used)on 01/12/2021. 5 weeks later the brakes pedal went to the floor. It has done this randomly several times. Usually I can get the car stopped, put it in park and pump the brake pedal a few times and the pedal will be back to normal. When this happens it's usually at a low speed and I can get the car stopped but it takes a while. I have attempted to talk to gen. Motors at detroit seeking information as to how can I repair this problem. I got no help from detroit. My local Buick shop manager tells me it could be any number of things. Maybe a sensor or something in the brake system or a vaccuum problem. I need to know what to do to fix this problem before I get into a wreck.

We had truck since new. We have consistent suspension problems including struts and bushings. The parts were designed for car and not heavy SUV. This could result in accident if not repaired as involves steering and direction. We have also had the brake booster replaced 5 times to date. It starts squeaking. Gm has said it will not effect the brake but they cannot lubricate or repair unless replaced. This also effects other gm trucks on same lambda platform including acadia and traverse.
Steering stiffness & tightness at low speed or high speed. Steering wheel tighten's up to the point where it's almost impossible to turn the wheel. Extremely dangerous when driving 50-60 mph on the expressway. Just purchased the vehicle Dec 19th 2020. I noticed the problem within the first 2 days car dealer was contacted Dec 21st 2020 in regards to the problem. Car was diagnosed at the dealer & returned to me without any findings of the issue. Still there is stiffness that comes & goes. I'm extremely concerned about my safety and or others. This is a significant problem that needs attention ASAP. Please recall some could or myself could be injured or killed. Brakes make a crunchy clicking noise & the dealer stated that they couldn't duplicate the sound.
While driving on very slick roads on a highway, I attempted to brake the vehicle in preparation to making a left hand turn. I could not stop the vehicle. The wheels kept pushing me forward. I could feel the abs pulsing but the vehicle would not stop. Luckily, no one was ahead of me or I would have hit the vehicle. It felt like the car was overriding my attempts to stop it. I wasn't just sliding on slick roads; the vehicle was actively pushing me forward.
The e-break warning came on twice after releasing the e-break when parked, the warning came on shortly after pulling from a shopping center parking lot. The e-break light was flashing with the service light active and a display notification of emergency break issues. Both of these two incidents happen after the last service update n19221631 was implemented back on 5/2020. The first one was present around September 2020 and the last one on 11/23/2020. I'm not sure if these two incidents happen due to the implementation of the service update but it seems coincidental that they happen shortly after the service update as this condition did not occurred before the service update. I do not drive my Buick much with only about 11k miles currently so it is not obvious the problem is due to age and usage unless there is a defect with the e-break product.
Vehicle jerks at low speeds when accelerating. Brakes grind when applied at hard braking or regular braking.
This is my 2nd Buick Enclave. The first one was 2007 model which had a major failure to brakes- vacuum assist etc. I was in florida in January 2014 when this failure occurred. It was found by crown Buick in st. Petersburg, FL. During a routine oil change. I paid a substantial amount of money approx. $1000 to have it repaired. I did not feel safe after this & traded it in for a new 2014 Buick Enclave with crown Buick. Now my 2014 Buick Enclave with 64000+ miles is starting to exhibit the same characteristics: mushy - extra pressure applied to brakes to slow it down when in motion on city street & particularly on the highway. I feel the Buick Enclaves should be added to "recall list" along with other gm vehicles recently added. Raymond theys 44267 constellation sterling heights, mi. 48314 phone # 586 803 1941.
