Car doors unlatched (becoming in open position [unlocked and unlatched] before it being completely open). It happened twice, ones when I was driving and the warning buzzer turned on and the instrument panel give me a message telling me the driving door is open, this is happened suddenly after driving for 10 minutes in very good local streets condition. I stopped to check the door and I was surprised to find its been unlatched to the pre open position. Second time happened when was the car parked and looked, after about 30 minutes the car horn starts beeping and the lights flashing, l got a message from onstar on my phone telling me my car doors are in open position. I went out to check the car and I found the driver side rear door is in open position (pre open position, unlocked and unlatched position, if you pull the door it will open completely). This is a safety concern.

Trunk randomly opens. It has happened many times and my key fob is not in my pocket. I keep it on a clip on my purse when not in use. Once I noticed the alert in my car popped up on my display while driving @ 55 mph and I did stop and closed the trunk. Most of the time car has been stationary. Once it must have been opened during the night and it rained. Whole trunk was very wet. Several time while at work and my car was parked in the parking lot--had someone tell my my trunk was open.
Takata recall I was in an accident on oct 16, 2018. I was on the street sitting at a red light when a vehicle hit me from the rear which made me hit another vehicle and my airbags did not deploy.

The trunk of my vehicle is filling up with water when it rains when it is stationary and moving. When I took a hose to it I started from the moon roof to the back of vehicle and it was filling up with water. The vehicle is in excellent condition. It started in August of 2018.
Tl the contact owns a 2014 Buick Lacrosse. While driving 65 mph, the front passenger side fender guard was loose. A screw attached to the guard fell off and caused the rear passenger side tire to flatten. The tire was replaced. The contact took the vehicle to corning Chevrolet Buick (2087 solano st, corning, CA 96021, (530) 838-4371) where they re-screwed the fender guard. Since the repair, the failure recurred and caused the entire passenger side fender guard to detach. The contact stated that the driver's side fender guard recently began to loosen and was hanging off the vehicle. The contact cut the part off of the vehicle to prevent potential damage. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 25,000.

Trunk will release without warning. This can happen while driving or at a stop without engine running. It takes several attempts to close completely. The vehicle was parked in my driveway overnight. I found it open in the morning.
The driver side door won't open. Problem started with the door not locking after closing it. After several attempts of opening and shutting the door it finally locked. Once locked the door would not open back up. The dealership told me that the 2007 year models have defective door latch assemblys.

The trunk releases and pops open on its own. The trunk opens immediately after it is shut. The sequence of close and release happens several times before the trunk remains latched. The occurrences have been when the vehicle is parked idle and with the engine off.
Sunroof does not close completely. The part that lifts to slide back, opening the sunroof, no longer closes flush. It also appears that the second glass of the panoramic sunroof has moved forward. It will open but will not close. This malfunction occurs in motion, idle or parked.
Trunk randomly opens whether parked or while driving. This has happened many times.
As I was heading out of town for my daily commute to work I heard a loud pop noise. I looked up and noticed my sunroof had exploded above me. I was going about 40 mph and had no traffic around me. I turned around and headed back home where I noticed that the glass was bent upward as if there was too much pressure in the cabin. I took the car to the dealership and they said something had to of hit it which I do not believe because there was no traffic around me and the hole was about 1ft by 1ft with the glass bent upward as if it was something from the inside that caused it to explode. I looked up on line and noticed that the 2015 Buick regal and chevy cruze both had to have recalls where they replaced thin glass in sunroofs. To me it appears this is the case for my 2016 Buick Lacrosse where the glass was too thin.

With no impacts, the car was parked, and when placed in r to back up, the entire front bumper, grill, lights wheel wells and fog light wires dropped off the vehicle. All "rubber connectors to the chassis were fatigued. 30189 miles on the car. A clearly defined defective design to hold the entire front of the car by six flimsy, thin and plastic or rubber connectors. Cost $1300, to me, $500. A flimsy attachment for the front end. A disaster if car was moving at any speed.

There has been an unusual tingling noise (example: tapping sound of an aluminum tin pan) coming from the rear driver left and passenger right sides of the body pillar panels. The sound is noticed while driving on rugged pavement and also with increased speed on the pavement. Service records can be furnished of multiple visits to the dealer addressing my concern/complaint, but there has been no satisfactory resolve. Moss brothers has been very generous in making accommodations (loaners, dollar incentives) for me while my vehicle was being diagnosed and kept under their care, but I also have a complaint about how dealer surveys are structured. Please note for the record, I have completed and submitted to the dealer many surveys giving them praise for their service, only because I had to pick and choose which battle I wanted to fight to get what I needed to have done. There were a few times where praise was in order but more times when it was not. One time when I wrote a complaint last year, I was verbally scalded in a phone conversation about that and was told that all they did to assist with loaner provisions, that my negative survey affects the dealership's rating and employee bonus/recognition. I felt at that moment, "voiceless" and like their "unwanted step-child". With that said, I tread gingerly on how my real opinion is expressed when completing dealer surveys now. I would love to continue buying Buick vehicles as this is my second Buick Lacrosse that I have purchased from moss brothers, but I feel there is much work yet to be done to improve the integrity of how surveys are structured so as to not jeopardize the customer's loyalty to the brand, assistance services being provided and dollar incentives being given to keep customers as a satisfied and long-term customer.

The chrome is peeling off the interior door handle on the drivers front door, causing a razor sharp edge, that cuts my finger. It is a safety hazard that should be addressed.
Trapped inside of 2006 Lacrosse with a door lock that would not open. Dealer could not replicate the problem nor fix it. Gm executive offices claim the door lock is a wear item. It is unacceptable for a door lock to trap a person inside a car that has 83,000 miles and 9 years old. Enough such occurrences are discussed on various sites on the internet. This combined with a faulty passenger seat airbag sensor and executive managament's lack of concern is enough to stay away from all gm products.
I purchased this vehicle a year ago with 66,100 miles. One previous owner. The passenger side rear door would not open. It's still inoperable. I do not know when the door stopped working, just that it was prior to 66,100 miles. It has made the vehicle un-safe to exit from the rear seat when parked street-side.

While driving at night both headlights failed to work without warning headlight relay failed several incidents posted on line. After arriving at work was unable to exit the vehicle because both inside and outside door handles failed to open the door. Car is currently at a body shop attempting to open the door.
While turning left at a major intersection, car lurched forward and gained speed/momentum while at same time steering wheel became stiff and very difficult to turn & driver could not control the car. Car did not complete the left turn but rather continued driving as if all on its own and crashed into a high curb on right side of car. Air bags did not deploy; front car parts simply crumbled and fell off; suspension was ruined; car tire was punctured along with the tire rim being cracked clear through in a couple of areas. Driver was injured with head injury, cracked rib, and broken rt. Forearm. Car was totalled out by the insurance company.
After starting engine and placing gear in drive, the car accelerated on its own so fast that it left tire marks on the pavement from where the acceleration started. The car passed through the parking lot lane, over two curbs, slightly scraping a small post in the parking lot causing the damage to the right side of the car. After trying to stop the car by applying the brakes and shifting to neutral and the car running over two curbs and steered into bales of hay which helped bring the car to a stop, shut the engine off and got out of the car. The car was towed to the Buick dealer and Buick div. Was informed and the following is the number assigned to the case by Buick: 71-1193021021.
Driver was on a large freeway in traffic, when the accelerator pedal broke off. Driver obtained control of the vehicle but not before the car surged into the vehicle in front of it. The pedal completely broke off and was laying in the floorboard. Car was purchased brand new and had only been driven for 6 months. Car was towed to dealership where purchased and is being investigated to determine the case of the pedal failure. No answer yet.
The contact owns a 2011 Buick Lacrosse. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 mph another vehicle unexpectedly crashed into the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle swerved and crashed into the guard rail. The driver sustained bruises. A police report was filed. There were two other vehicles involved and one of the driver's suffered from an unknown injury. The vehicle was towed to a collision center and repaired. The air bags failed to deploy upon impact. I travel this highway everyday going and coming home. The road crew was working on repairing the road. The tar that they was putting down got on my car. I tried to wash it off but the tar would not come off. So a road crew member told me who to contact. I have been call them for a month now and never got a answer until today 10/25/12 @11:47 a. M.
Tl-the contact owns 2008 Buick Lacrosse. The contact stated that while the brakes were depressed the vehicle made a loud friction sound and the air bag light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnose that the front brake hub speed sensor, the wiring harness and the passenger air bag wiring connector terminal were defective and needed to be replaced. In addition, the contact mentioned that the driver side sun visor was defective and caused a blinding spot. The failure mileage was 20,000 and the current mileage was 20,500. Pmb.
I purchased this vehicle a few months ago and have had two near misses. Both involving a person as I was turning a corner. The driver has a huge blind spot (14") between the windshield and side window glass which interfers with seeing. In addition, this blind spot is close to the driver, making it much worse.
The contact owns a 2011 Buick Lacrosse. While attempting to park the vehicle, the contact could not see the front end of the vehicle hood, fenders, and bumper or the ground in order to verify when to stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The sales manager advised the contact to install a back up bumper camera to the front bumper to assist. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 1,050 . The consumer stated where the hood and dash meet at the windshield, both are rising and the windshield wipers sit on top of that. It is designed for recessed wipers, but the blades are not recessed. They sit above the high part of the dash. One third of the hood surface would be invisible without wiper blades. To see the hood top surface, the consumer must raise the seat and place it forward, so he can his chin over the top of the steering wheel. Updated 10/28/11 updated 11/09/2011.
The posts on the front right and left side restrict visibility to a serious degree. Because of the post on the front right side of the car blocking visibility I have had near misses, and actually caused me to hit a curb and get a flat tire. Other times I haven't seen people on the right side of my car. The post and mirrors size and location makes it a very dangerous.
Tl-the contact own a 2011 Buick Lacrosse. The contact stated that the head restrainer moved forward and as a result, the contact sustained neck and shoulder injuries. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the vehicle was as designed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 40,000. Djr.
