On two occasions, the headlights stopped working while I was driving at night. Both times occurred when I was driving under 35 miles per hour and had been driving for less than five miles. The first time (February 2016), I stopped, turned the car off and back on and the lights came back on. The second time (April, 2016), I stopped, turned off the ignition and turned it back on. The lights did not come back on. I turned on the ignition and tried the high beams, and they illuminated. When I arrived at home, I tried the regular lights again, but they still failed to work. I found a recall online for this situation for the make, model, and year o f my car (#15v519000), so I contacted Buick customer service. I was told that my car did not have this recall on it. I believe that the fact that I have the same problem on the same car model, make, and year should should qualify my car for the recall for this serious safety issue.

This is the second time it has happened to me. My headlights quit working. The first time it was not as dark and I caught it . My husband took it to sims Buick on elm rd. Where we purchased it. They said there was no recall on it, but we new there was. My husband paid for the new module and put it in. This time it took place on tues. Mar. 29 and 8:30 pm in the dark. I had 3 girls I was taking home from work and my headlights went out. Almost hit someone along the road and there was traffic coming at me. Thakfully the girls guided me into a driveway. My brights worked to get me and the girls home. My husband checked again and was told there was no recall or fix. He bought the module and replaced it himself. Thank god we were safe. But you need to figure it out before someone gets hurt. And make sure your dealers get the information.
Nhtsa campaign 15v519000 (gm safety recall 14291). This problem results in failure of headlights. I received letter from gm in September 2015. It indicated that a permanent solution was not yet available. Today I checked with gm and they indicated the permanent solution is not yet available and furthermore they have no schedule for completion. Obviously, headlight failure is a significant safety concern (which has happened twice to me). For gm not to have developed a permanent solution, or apparently even a schedule for doing so, is extremely disappointing.

The headlights on my car work intermittently. It has been many occasions when were driving at night and in daytime when all of a sudden the lights go out. There has been several times at night the lights have went out and we weren't aware that they weren't on which is extremely dangerous. When the lights go out we have to utilize the high beams in order to see at night. This first started in the summer of 5/2012 and continues to happen today,.

Car was parked the night before and was not started or moved prior to this issue being found.
Low beam headlights stopped working while driving on a city street. This vehicle is not included in the safety recall for this year model. Fuses and bulb were checked and confirmed to be good. . While investigating recalls I found several other complaints from other owners that were not included in the recall but had a problem that fits the description of this year and model which were included in the original recall. My vehicle has 55884 miles on it.

I have to often drive around at night using my high-beams. The problem is getting worst, as the lights will not come on for day. Low beam headlights can go out at any time while driving. Started happening about 7/2013. Would only drive during day/ had module replaced a year ago when recall notice came out and had lights for a about 6 months with no problem. Was driving going around a corner a couple of months ago, lights went out and I went into ditch causing a bad fender dent and breaking my windshield. Lights can come and go at any time. Thank god, no one was hurt. This could be a major problem. You can use brights, but that would cause blinding the oncoming traffic.
Twice now, my headlights will not illuminate. The first time it rectified itself. This time it has not rectified. The problem occurred when I manually turned off the headlights. I put the car in drive and manually turned them back on and nothing happened. Running lights and high beams do function (14v755000) but I am irritating a lot of drivers with the high beams on. What can I do until this recalled part is available? I have tried to get it serviced at my gm dealer but they have no recall information. So my guess the going to charge me hourly to diagnose a problem that they probably already know about.

There are no incidents at this time of for this complaint, general motors should also be held financially responsible for the replacement of high-beam bulbs as they will burn out as a result to not having a remedy as of yet to repair/replace the hdm for my vehicle as well as the other gm owners. I work at night and need my headlights to be in proper operating order. Please make gm also responsible for the replacement of the high-beam bulbs on all the vehicles that pertain to this "recall status: recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available" an is unacceptable to the consumer of the affected 2005 ¿ 2009 model year Buick Lacrosse vehicles; certain 2006 ¿ 2008 SAAB 9-7x and isuzu ascender vehicles; certain 2006 ¿ 2007 Buick rainier, Chevrolet trailblazer and GMC envoy vehicles; certain 2007 pontiac grand prix vehicles; and certain 2006 Chevrolet trailblazer ext and GMC envoy xl vehicle owners.
After starting car, while it was still dark, I put the car in reverse and the front lights stopped working. They were initially on. I immediately changed to another car for transportation. I later tested the headlights to find that the high beam headlights work, but the normal beam does not.
I have a 2007 Buick Lacrosse that I understand has been under recall since Sep 2015 for bad headlights which may cause the headlights to stop operation at any time. Has the NHTSA been monitoring the problem and why has it taken so long for general motors to correct the problem? thanks and have a nice day.

Loss of low beam headlights.
I bought this lovely car and thought I got a great deal-now I wonder what I was thinking!! the car drove home from the dealership beautifully, but after 5 days of owning it I was driving down a major highway at 70mph and the headlights shut off. I now have that problem any time I drive at night. The passenger air bag light goes off and on while the seat is occupied and last night I looked outside, only to discover that my headlights were on. Nothing I did would make them stay off other than disconnecting the battery. The electrical on this car is obviously a nightmare and I will be looking in to trading this car as soon as possible :(.
My parking headlights will not turn off and the traction control is going haywire whenever I reverse or turn to the right.
