I noted the exact same problem reported on the NHTSA site for this same make and model of car. It's included under the heading vehicle speed control. I just purchased this car in the past month and now notice that each time I try to move my foot from the foot feed to the brake pedal my foot catches on the side of the brake pedal. It seems to me to be an obvious safety risk in that it takes another movement of my foot to get it on the brake pedal slowing my response to brake. I fear that if I need to stop quickly, I will either miss the brake pedal or will have a delay in reaching it which could cause a serious accident if braking quickly is necessary to avoid a crash. This happens every time I move my foot from the foot feed to the brake pedal!.

When in a coasting mode(no accelerator use) car will apply braking all on its own and will not release braking till car comes to a full stop. No objects or cars are anywhere in front of the car when this happens. Has happened twice while going around medium radius curves in the road. Very dangerous to us and the other cars behind us because we get no indication this is going to happen. This has happened a couple of times. The last time is indicated below.

The brake pedal sticks down during interior high temperatures (generally during the summer months when parked in the sun) and causes the brakes to drag. It appears this is a known defect (NHTSA# 10141352) gm technical service bulletin#pic 5692d. I just want the NHTSA to be aware of another vehicle exhibiting this condition. I will be repairing the vehicle myself.

The contact owned a 2008 Buick Lacrosse. While driving approximately 30 mph and making a left turn, the power steering and brakes seized without warning. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a concrete pole, gas meter, and tree; however, the engine continued to rev. The contact had to make several attempts to turn off the vehicle. The air bags deployed. The vehicle was destroyed and towed. The driver received facial and hand injuries and the passenger received stomach injuries. Medical attention was required for the passenger. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact's insurance company believed the failure was related to NHTSA campaign number: 14v355000 (electrical system). The failure mileage was 90,696.

Driver seat moves out of position by itself,I just had the stabili trak light come on which in turn shut off my abs I had replaced the bad bearing today but was told the other 3 will need it also as this bearing is a defective produce and should have been recalled as they fall apart shutting off you abs system. This is not a cheap vehicle to purchase I also had to replace my all wheel drive pump which was very costly I believe gm should recall the wheel bearings on these vechiles before someone get hurt! I like gm but you have dropped the ball on this one!!.
The contact owns a 2006 Buick Lacrosse. While driving 30 mph, the front driver side wheel began to make an abnormal noise. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the lug nuts and the control arm needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. In addition, while at a stop and attempting to make a left turn, another vehicle crashed into the rear of the contact's vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The abs and electronic stability control warning indicators illuminated. The contact sustained back, right arm, and right leg injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an auto body repair center for body repairs, but was not diagnosed or repaired for the failure. After the vehicle was repaired for the crash, the gear shifter was shifted into the drive position and the vehicle began to roll backwards. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact was aware of NHTSA campaign numbers: 06v417000 (air bags) and 14v355000 (electrical system). The failure mileage was 100,000. The VIN was unavailable.

Sometimes when brakes are applied, the car does not come to a smooth stop, but rather jerks ahead and takes a very long distance to stop. This occurs often on snow covered roads but also occurs on dry roads. My daughter was in a small accident because the car did not stop in time. The message to check the abs often shows. I have just had a new brake job with new routers but still get the message to check automatic braking system. This problem has been going on for years and it seems that nothing will fix it. Even though the car is a 2008, it only has a little over 80,000 miles. The problem has occurred both on city streets and highways. (since the problem is on-going, some of the following questions do not apply. However since the fields are required, I will have to put something down. ).
Abs stablility traction lights come on and the car dies I have no power steering or breaking power and my car is still moving. Gm did the petal recall to it thinking that would fix it, it did and has not. This is a death trap I have lost faith in driving this car. How is this not a safety issue??? has happened twice.
The contact owns a 2005 Buick Lacrosse. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 14v291000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The part needed for the repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tools confirms parts not available.
My vehicle started flashing, chiming, giving service abs, service tc, service brakes messages, air bag indicator lit up,and turn signals started having longer and longer pauses between clicks at random times during a two week period. I took the vehicle for a computer diagnostic. I was notified everything indicated the instrument panel is the problem: the computer is not connecting to the various parts of the vehicle.
My parking headlights will not turn off and the traction control is going haywire whenever I reverse or turn to the right.

I was making a left turn and the car accelerated towards the right towards a curb on a residential street and steering wheel and car wheels locked up. I could not turn the wheels and the steering lost its power bringing the car to slam into the curb. I had no control of steering or turning the wheel of the car.

Engine quit causing brakes and steering to become inoperative. This is the 5th time this has happened. I have previously reported this to ntsa and general motors. I never received a response from gm. I took the vehicle to my dealer and the only thing they did was reprogram the vehicle but apparently it did no good. I think the problem is in the ignition system.
Premature failure of the antilock braking system due to defective hub bearing.
The accident happened yesterday morning. The brake jammed when I tried to stop at the red light. When I pressed the brake second time, it was still jammed so I crashed my car to the car in front. Luckily, nobody was hurt. It was raining but the car was just serviced by a Buick dealer less than two weeks ago. This happened a year ago and fortunately, the car stopped just in time that time.
Broken stabilizer bar, sway bar links and bushings were replaced. Several days later there was leakage under the drivers side of car. After checking fluids all seemed in order. But leakage continued untii I assume fluid was low or out. Now I notice a steering wheel squeal whenever I turn the steering wheel, regardless of low or high speed. I understand power steering is still a problem. When will there be a recall?.
I purchased this car from another car dealer in early July 2014 with 19,000 miles. I noticed that the vehicle seemed to be sluggish on acceleration. I first thought it was the electronic parking brake not releasing. After doing some research I found another case where some else had their car in for the same issue. They said it was the brake pedal bushing not allowing the pedal to disengage the brakes once they were applied. I was told to drive to the dealer even though I told them it was unsafe. By the time my wife drove the car in the brakes were about to caught fire because they were not releasing. They replaced the bushing and turned the rotors that should have been replaced. I am taking it back into the dealership for warred rotor would be my best guess; this is a fire hazard waiting to happen. There was no fire but if she would have driven another 10 miles the brakes would have been on fire. I arrived at the dealership twenty minutes after my wife and the brakes were very hot and smelled the same. I checked yes on fire because there would have been one shortly.
The contact owns a 2010 Buick Lacrosse. The contact stated that while driving at a low speeds, the service parking assist warning light flashed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 67,000.
Tl-the contact owns a 2005 Buick Lacrosse. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 mph, he applied the brakes the vehicle pulled to the right and hesitated to stop the vehicle. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000. Mf.
Went to get my car serviced because I kept hearing a whirring noise during acceleration in the rear of my vehicle. Both rear hub assemblies went, absolutely ridiculous expense for a 2010 Buick Lacrosse at the "stealership" for $850. 00, wow!! crazy because my friend has the same exact car and has the same exact issue. Shouldn't this be on recall already?? would like a response. . . .
I haven't had and accident, but I notice when I put on brakes going down hill the front end was shaking, just had car service and check out and I was inform that everything was a okay their did a front end alignment is there a recall on brakes problems? this is not the first time this happen. .
The contact owns a 2007 Buick Lacrosse. While driving 55 mph, the contact heard an unusual sound whenever the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle shook violently and the brake warning indicator illuminated. The failure occurred multiple times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Abs braking and stabilitrac service lights came on and both systems failed on ice covered road. Vehicle slid off road into snow pile. No injuries or damage.
I turned right onto a very steeply graded rural road. The road has 3 service ramps to a major highway, rt 28n. It also has 1 road that allows a r/l access to burton and a cross traffic access to 28n. I had just started the descent down burton when I noticed that began to accelerated. I applied the brake twice to reduce speed; it was non-responsive. The car continue to speed down the hill for approximately 3/4mi. . The car began to slow down about 1/2 mile beyond the access road to 28 n. When I tried to pull over to a gravel/weed "shoulder" I found that the power steering was also out. I could not pull completely off the road, thus creating a danger to any car on burton road. When I tried to restart the car the engine would not start. The car was totally inoperable. It had to be towed 20 miles to the dealership late at night. The car had just passed the 50k mile Buick inspection. On three prior occasions, though, there were problems with a window malfunction, and two doors latches on the driver's side. The service report states that the entire ignition cole and module assembly was replaced along with the ignition module. I was told that the same assembly design was used in the Buick lesabre, the chevy impala, and one other Buick model. Buick apologized for the failure of these components and for putting me and my passengers into what was a life threatening situation. I was told by the service department of baierl Chevrolet (a quality dealership and service organization) that this problem has occurred with other owners, but none had been in the situation I was in. I wanted to report this because I found no indications on the Buick website that such failures were possible. Having lost total confidence in the car and its design, that I traded it in for another car and took on expenses that I had not budgeted for.
The contact owns a 2006 Buick Lacrosse. While driving various speeds, the contact had to pump the brake pedal several times in order for the vehicle to stop. The abs and traction control warning indicators illuminated. Also, the instrument panel failed to remain illuminated in order for the contact to view necessary information while driving. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle received the aftermarket seat covering indicated in NHTSA campaign number: 06v417000 (air bags). The vehicle was not included in the recall for the covering to be replaced despite the manufacturer assuring them it was the same material used. The contact took the vehicle to a certified mechanic who diagnosed that the hub needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle had not received a second repair for the abs and instrument panel. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000.
This is a 4cyl car with eassist. Unintended acceleration - the car while going downhill or sometimes uphill, accelerates on its own after releasing the gas pedal. I almost hit another car once because of this. Jerking - the car while decelerating from 50-40 mph to 30-20 mph jerks after releasing the gas pedal (with an intention of decelerating) or while applying brakes. This has been happening regularly since I bought the car in oct 2012.
I was traveling at 35 mph when the vehicle just stopped running. I had all I could do to get the vehicle stopped and off the road because neither the brakes or power steering would work.
The contact owns a 2010 Buick Lacrosse. While driving various speeds, the brake and stabilitrak warning indicators illuminated continuously. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician recommended that the vehicle be restarted when the warning indicators illuminated. The contact mentioned that the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the service stabilitrak needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred months later. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
The contact owns a 2009 Buick Lacrosse. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the brake pedal was engaged and an unusual noise emitted continuously. In addition, the automatic defroster did not function on the first attempt upon activation. The failure occurred whenever the vehicle was in operation. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnosis where the contact was informed that the vehicle operated as designed. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 44,000.
Un smooth shifting around 30 mph ,causing the car to jerk or brake feels like the assist is not sensing ,causing the had to dealership nothing they can do all check out but the problem is still there.
Steering is almost impossible to turn at low speeds such as turning into a parking space. Occurs all the time. Appling the brake may play a part.
