Headlamps go off at nite driving, very unnerving, fuel gage, haywire from the start, while driving, engine would accellerate when turning right. Swaying/suspension, when turning, driving down the road, reported this many times and taken into dealer. . However, never taken care of. Only thing fixed was solenoid.

2 Starter Solenoid problem of the 2000 Buick Lesabre

Failure Date: 06/07/2012

Transmission no longer shifts into 3rd or overdrive. With shifter in overdrive and in stopped position once you take your foot off the brake to begin acceleration the torque converter slams to a stop and the engine shuts off. Transmission fluid full at all times, engine warmed up. Repeated stalling, repeated tachometer quits. Repeated engine quits when you place in overdrive from neutral. Must start movement by placing in lower gears 1 2 or 3. This transmission never shifts out of second gear. Put it on code analyzer and got 2 codes that indicated pc solenoid torque converter solenoid issues. Seems like these 2000 Buicks have recurring defects and gm won't standby their product. Why on earth would a company that designs cars ever put a battery under a car seat. One spark with hydrogen gas under that seat could kill an infant in a car seat if it exploded. . Come on!!!.

3 Starter Solenoid problem of the 1998 Buick Lesabre

Failure Date: 05/19/2003

The manifold and gasket had to be replaced. I was told coolant was improperly mixing with my oil causing black smoke to be emitted from my exhaust, the car missing and eventually semi-locking. The locking cause the cone of my starter to crack in two when I attempted to re-start to the tune of a $1,500. Repairfor all. Dealer ackowledged they had this problem with other vehicles. The initial stater replaced was discovered defective and was again replaced on June 25, 2003. A complaint to Buick customer service was fruitless and they were not sensitive at all to the problem encountered.
