This vehicle frequently stalls. It just stops running. It happens on the freeway, at intersections, and on city streets. It has been doing this for several months. The dealer has had this vehicle on three seperate occasions, and has not been able to fix it.

My Buick Regal 3. 8 1999 has stalled while running at speed 5 times in the past five days. The deale, thompson Buick, placerville CA said that they could do nothing since it is an intermitant problem. I shift into n and then turn the key to start while still traveling and it usually starts.

The vehicle stalled without warning, the dealer stated the crack sensor and the fuel sensor were the problem.

While traveling and without any indication vehicle would stall at any speed. Consumer states vehicle seems to stall at high and low speeds, consumer also states that the fuel filter was replaced but did not resolve the problem.

Vehicle stalls when coming to a stop. All lights on dash go out. Dealer has replaced fuel pump, cannot remedy problem. Diagnostic done, no code given. To dealer twice, stalled 4 times so far.

Vehicle stalls with no prior warning. Dealership told consumer that problem has been resolved. But problem still exists.

Vehicle has stalled out 5 times, all different speeds and circumstances. Engine loses power, speedometer goes up to 120mph. Problem reported to dealership 5 times, unable to fix or find prob. Occurs every 3-4 weeks.

Started engine ok; drove 2 blocks to major intersection; accelerated from stop sign into 35 mph traffic to merge with traffic; engine stopped while merging; all dash lights came on; could not restart engine; coasted to stop blocking lane and intersection; could not restart; had to be towed to dealer; after several days, dealer indicated that fuel pump fuse had opened; dealer decided to replace fuse and install new pump, but did not know real cause of open fuse; ordered pump; vehicle still disabled after 5 days.

Vehicle continues to stall after stops even after fuel pump relay and resistors have been replaced. Nlm.

When the car is driven for a long period of time, it will begin stalling and cut off while driving, and will not restart for about 20 minutes. Took to the dealer 3 times for this problem, but they can't duplicate the problem.

While driving the vehicle stalls without prior warning which almost caused an accident. Dealer cannot determine problem.

Consumer complaint concerning 1998 Buick Regal's computer malfunctioning. The consumer has had a new computer installed and the computer flashed. Now the vehicle is exhibiting signs of computer failure again.

Car stalls after coming to a stop and then pushing gas pedal. Dealer claims that a wiring harness needed to be re-routed. Reading the complaint database I see this is a more common problem than was told. If it is the wiring harness, then okay and the defect should be recalled. If this is not the cause of the stalling then I don't know what I will do.

When applying brakes in wet conditions,the vehicle will stall. Also experiences a power surge ,which could cause an accident.
