The contact owns a 2004 Buick Rendezvous. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph, the speedometer displayed an incorrect speed; it would indicate that the vehicle was traveling faster than it actually was. The vehicle had not been inspected or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 89,000. The contact owns a 2003 Buick Rendezvous. The contact stated that while driving 65 mph with the air conditioner on, there was a burning odor and the instrument panel began emitting smoke. The contact opened the instrument panel and removed the control box. The contact then noticed wires melting inside the box which stopped the air conditioner fan from running. The vehicle had not been inspected or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.

I have been seriously frustrated with my vehicle. I have taken to mechanics where I paid to have it placed on the diagnostic machine and I have had every fuse checked numerous times. Not once but many times over the past year. My 2004 Buick Rendezvous' gas gauge and speedometer work when they want to. Most of the time not at all. The speedometer will read over 100 mph. The gas gauge does not work. I took it to another mechanic today to be told it must be in the board. I have been told it has something to do with a ground wire. I don't know but for the money I spent on this car it should work. I am worried about safety. I have had problems with it stalling also. One window will not roll up and down by the button on the door (only by the driver's button). One door won't open from the inside. And the back windshield wiper does not touch the window. This also has been looked at since 2 weeks after I purchased the vehicle. I just found out about gm' recalls etc today and am hoping something will finally get done cause I love my SUV.

Speedometer often fails to work properly.

It started to blink and dims the light or cuts off the exterior and interior lights in the vehicle. The vehicle also goes into security mode and locks the entire vehicle. The vehicle will need to be taken to an authorized dealer the current mileage was 81,500 and failure mileage was 80,000.

Vehicle dashboard instruments (speedometer and vehicle engine temperature) do not operate properly.

Our 2005 Buick Rendezvous speedometer stopped working. The dealer changed a sensor for $125, that did not work. They greased the lines and checked it out on their equipment but that has not worked either. I saw online that many people had problems with this and their electronic problems. Is there a recall from Buick?.

While driving my speedometer just stopped working. It has not worked since. Sometimes it says I'm going 10mph and sometimes it says I'm going 110mph and sometimes it just hangs down at the bottom. Obviously, this is extremely dangerous not knowing what speed you are traveling at.

Initially the fuel gauge began to act incorrectly. Now not only does the fuel gauge not work, but the speedometer does not work.

The contact owns a 2007 Buick Rendezvous. While driving 10 mph, the instrument panel lights illuminated. When the contact depressed the accelerator pedal, the vehicle hesitated and then accelerated. She stated that the vehicle felt as if it would stall when the accelerator pedal was depressed. When she removes her foot from the brake pedal, she felt a sensation and the vehicle would accelerate very quickly. The dealer noticed that the instrument panel lights were illuminated and stated that the accelerator pedal sensor was the cause of the malfunction and needed to be replaced. The dealer replaced the vehicle and stated that if someone would inspect the vehicle, the failure would appear. Approximately one month later, the failure recurred for the second time. The contact took the vehicle back to the same dealer with the failure still present. The dealer stated that they would keep the vehicle and notify the contact of the situation. He also stated that there were other failures with the vehicle, such as the engine hesitating upon start up, the radio malfunctioning, and the doors jamming. The dealer stated that nothing could be done about the engine until it malfunctioned. The radio was replaced and the doors were repaired; however, the doors continue to malfunction occasionally. The purchase date was unknown. The current mileage was 9,800 and failure mileage was 9,300.

The contact owns a 2002 Buick Rendezvous. The contact stated that the all wheel drive light illuminated and displayed disabled on the instrument panel. He was informed that there was water intrusions flowing from under the carpet to the drain and fuel pump harness. He stated that the abs harness was affected by the condensation from the air conditioner, which is causing the failure. The repair would cost $1,500. The contact also stated that the fuel gauge does not show the proper amount of fuel. The speed was unknown. The current and failure mileages were 58,425. Updated 08/30/07.

We have a 2004 Buick Rendezvous that does not keep accurate speedometer readings and it jumps lanes or severely pulls to the left. We have been trying to get this repaired but it does not do these things when the dealer drives it. This has gone on over 3 months. The speedometer reads excessive speeds over 100 mph or it reads 20 mph sitting in the drive. We have pictures of the speedometer reading 100+ miles per hour but they wont take those. The dealer can not get the nac warranty department to cover or replace the cluster because they cant duplicate the problem. I recently read where there is a class action lawsuit against gm due to the same speedometer issues.

Speed gauge keeps spending around wont stay adjusted. My rear defrost won't work tried fuses keep blowing out.

The odometer reads "error" this problems prevents correct reporting of mileage to nys inspections, resale, warranty, calculation of tire and oil maintenance.

: the contact stated while driving 35 mph on normal road conditions the lights for the awd and abs systems illuminated. According to the owner's manual when abs illuminates the vehicle should be stopped and towed for assistance. This incident has occurred several times and the dealer advised the contact to drive the vehicle eventhough the manual recommended towing. The contact was not aware of the remedy repair to fix awd and abs illumination problem.

2005 Buick Rendezvous rolled from park with keys out of the ignition injuring consumers wife. The consumer had other problems with the vehicle such as the power steering becoming hard . The dealer replaced the pump and the power steering rack. The abs, and brake light illuminated, then the awd disable light came on. The gas gauge fluctuated as well. The vehicle pulled to the left. The dealer readjusted the camber, caster and rear tow.

Bought 2002 Buick Rendezvous cxl from carmax with 29k miles. Seemed to run ok for first couple months. . . At around 36k miles, the condenser went out at the same time as the odometer started to display "error". Unacceptable for condenser to fail with just 3 years of light use. Also, had to replace instrument panel to get rid of error - took a week to ship the error panel to factory so they could read mileage and set on a new panel to ship back to the dealer. Luckily I purchased extended warranty, but I still have a 75 deductable for every repair and rental vehicle is not covered.
