The rear driver's side panel that held the air bag came apart. I have not taken the vehicle to the dealer yet. If this panel is not in correctly and the air bag deploys, the panel may not separate correctly and cause injury to any passenger.

While driving home from work I heard a slight crash noise, looked in my rear view mirror to see the bezel piece flew off my car and attached were the back up lights. The piece shattered and was irreplaceable. Upon research in Cadillac blogs I read that this was an ongoing problem with 03-05 Cts cars due to gm using a cheap glue to hold the piece on. Cadillac only agreed to replace the part if the car was still covered under their factory warranty, but I am not. Further research showed that they don't even offer athe same replacement piece, now a new part only available in an assembly kit ranging between 4-500 dollars. I find it unethical to sell a luxury car, and build it with cheap plastic pieces that simply fall off due to cheap adhesive, and cause danger to drivers behind me. The fact that the part was discontinued only proves that Cadillac acknowledges the piece was cheaply constructed, and should offer replacements to all early Cts models. When assembling automobile only quality parts should be used, not cheap plastic with faulty glue, I feel this warrants a recall, but one wasn't issued. Thanks for your time.

Back plastic piece that covers my license plate fell off, I have 2004 Cadillac Cts and I been looking all over and im not the only one with this issue. To replace this piece costs around $1200. 00. How many people does this have to happen to before Cadillac takes care of this problem. Its a Cadillac a piece of plastic on a $40,000 car should not just fall off.

2008 Cadillac Cts blind spot in side mirrors. Consumer states that the side mirrors create a blind spot. He states that the a pillar makes it difficult to see if there is someone in the crosswalk while trying to make a turn. The consumer stated the flaw is a blind spot resulting from the placement and size of the side mirrors and the size of the a pillar.
The brake pedal is too close to the gas pedal. The driver can hit them both at the same time. The defect caused one accident and I have had the same experience without an accident on several other occasions. Gm has refused to do anything and has refused to put its refusal in writing.
Water (rain and washing) get inside on the door wells (I think that's what you call them) and the part of the door where the latch is. I noticed the first time I washed the car in 8/07. The autobody shop couldn't say why and the dealership really didn't investigate it. Also the rear driver's side door latch/lock will freeze and door will swing open!! I have since learned not to use this door when its below 32 degrees. After raining and the car has been sitting, the brakes squeak. Also have a noise in front when turning.

I have had numerous problems with my Cts - there is leak in my trunk, I noticed it about 2 months after I bought the car in March 2006. I have brought it back 2 times and its still leaking. I have just returned it for a third time to see if they can finally fix it. The rubber on the top of the front windshield came off. I had to have that repaired that was about 6 months after I had the car. About 3 weeks ago I opened my trunk and the metal spring that holds the trunk up broke off. That is also getting repaired.

Design problem with instrument panel, gauges are hard to see. The instrument panel is black, and on a bright clear day it would become difficult to see the speedometer, odometer, and the gas gauge. The problem was especially dangerous when driven on super highways, attempting to set the cruise control, monitor speed when the speed has changed going through different speed zones.
