The passenger door does not open from the outside of the vehicle. The motor for the door lock failed. The driveshaft bolts broke and make a "flapping" noise when the vehicle is driven. My mechanic cannot find the replacement assembly and was told by Cadillac that it is unavailable at this time. Operating the vehicle is dangerous because the vehicle fails to accelerate in traffic. I contacted gm/Cadillac about the problems and was told there is nothing they can do because my vehicle is not under warranty and the door lock issue was on recall in 2013 and has expired. My concern is if I am involved in an accident with a passenger, first responders may not be able to safely remove the passenger because the door will not open from the exterior handle.

Steering wheel became inoperable while vehicle in motion, vehicle shut down multiple times while driving causing all loss of power to vehicle, accelerator stuck and fuel shut off when going hard on brake did not work requiring snit into neutral, many other issues. Taken to dealer for repair many times in service over 40+ days since November 2016. Not safe to operate. Cue screen replaced muriople times as well because of electrical issues and even air conditioning switching to heat, windows randomly rolling down while vehicle is parked in a parking lot, speedometer goes off and then comes back on while driving. Too many issues to name, gm/Cadillac has refused a proper repurchase of the vehicle and is stating they want a lawsuit brought against them in order to give a fair settlement as they are wanting me to pay larger than normal depreciation on a non-working vehicle in a repurchase agreement. These issues are life threatening and they are not wanting to note the vehicle is a lemon and actually sell it to another customer. They are now advising (gm executive office) the dealer to put that they are "unable to duplicate customer concern" on all further service visits should I return however I am not driving the vehicle because of safety concerns. This is not solving life threatening problems but actually covering them up. Come to find out they even serviced the vehicle prior to my ownership of purchasing the vehicle as new that they preformed service on some of the same electrical problems which I was having.

The drivers side rear axle is loose and I have researched that this is a coomin problem with this model. Expensive for consumer to replace this part. Dangerous to driver if this part breaks. Causes uncontrollable shaking, and loud noise when starting off. Cadillac has the bright idea of sealed hubs and axle boots, makes diagnosing this problem difficult:.
This is the second complaint re motor mount ( reference no. 10732081). 6/23/2015 replaced left side motor mount due to clunking on acceleration. On 6/28/2016 I took the car to the repair facility for the clunking, not thinking it could possibly be a motor mount problem again. I have spent $1006. 63 to repair a problem I have never heard of. I have seen the torn mounts.
I've noticed my vehicle always being out of balance, so naturally I first aligned and balanced the tires at a reputable shop. The first day it drove like a dream, but after that the vibration came back. Ever since then ive bought new tires, brakes, balanced the wheels 4 times within a year and once at the dealership(ed morse Cadillac sawgrass) which was a road force balance and noone seems to know the problem. My vehicle has 45k miles on it and the suspension including the rims are oem. Its frustrating to drive a vehicle that costs $75000 to drive horribly. This concerns me with the integrity of the vehicle. This poses a danger if its a problem that may escalate to something else that noone knows including the "great" mechanics at the dealership.

At 27k miles our 2013 Cts premium model developed a unique natural characteristic, the front wheels bind when turning. This natural characteristic is labeled as (stick/ slip) when making a right hand turn out onto a busy road I was almost broadsided by an oncoming dump truck and car. I pulled out onto the road and the car began to (stick and slip) hindering its forward movement. Had the left lane not been open for the oncoming traffic to swerve around me, I probably would not be writing this. The certified service tech at the dealership said the front wheels were binding. Gm engineers said,” it is the natural characteristics of the car. The car is performing to gm standards. I was handed a NHTSA id #10043010 bulletin which specifically stated which cars and what suspension and tires could experience this. It also states this stick and slip condition would be noticed when the car steering is at full lock. No one makes a turn onto a road at full lock. My suspension is a fe5 with goodyear eagle rs tires . This suspension and tire combo is not part of this bulletin. If this is the natural characteristics of the car then why did it appear around 27k?? I believe this condition is very dangerous in spite of what gm claims. We are afraid to drive the car but have no choice because we can't afford to take a loss and purchase another model.

As I approached a street from a store parking lot, I stepped on the brake but the car did not slow. As I saw I was not going to stop, I tried to steer the car to the right to try to avoid crossing into traffic. The steering wheel would not turn. I was going very slowly and saw the face of the driver of the car that hit me. That car hit my car twice. Once in the front left corner and then in left rear corner, as my car spun 90 degrees to the right from the first impact. Someone asked me if my car had turned off. I said I didn’t know because the engine is so quiet. A responding sheriff’s deputy told my husband the driver who hit me said he saw me looking at him and was sure I was going to stop. Later analysis by a Cadillac technician revealed error codes from the front wheel speed sensors. I have been told a wheel speed sensor malfunction can affect breaking.

The back rear is making a loud noising, like there are big tires on the car. The mechanic said its the penion seal. I looked up the issue and there is a recall on the penion seal.
Clanking noise and steering difficulty when hitting small bumps or chuck holes in the street. Rear end shifts back and forth on slightly rough roads at even low speeds.
The rear end air ride suspension went out when she was driver.
S10 appropriate handling- letter to the secretary from constituents re copy of letter to mary barra, chairman and chief executive officer (ceo), general motors expressing dissatisfaction with after service care. The consumer stated there was a loud ticking noise coming from the vehicle, when it was started. The dealer inspected the vehicle, and assured the consumer the vehicle was dependable. On may 27, 2014 the consumer felt a mild vibration through the steering wheel. The dealer stated the balance was off, but everything was fine. On June 15, 2014, while driving, the consumer heard a loud bang, then a rough ticking sound and felt a shudder through the steering wheel. He gently braked and pulled over to the shoulder, inspected the vehicle, but found nothing wrong. After the vehicle was inspected again, and being told there was nothing wrong. He continued to experience a vibration through the steering wheel, and the thumping became more pronounced. Also, the vehicle lurched and a loud bang and heavy vibration, was flt throughout the car. The consumer had the vehicle towed to the dealer. The consumer explained to the dealer about the vibration tear in the cloth shield he discovered, the tow truck driver brought two of the four that held the drive shaft together to the service representative. The dealer informed the consumer the vibration tear was a cigarette burn, and the drive shaft bolts falling out of the vehicle and bearing failure were issues address several times before. After the vehicle was returned to the consumer, there was low pitched whistle during light to moderate acceleration, which he did not hear when he first purchased the vehicle. Also, there was a light weight oil/fluid leaking from under the engine area. He noticed the fuel consumption range had dropped from 17-18 mpg to 15 mpg. The rear end felt less stable and there was a slight shift when coming off driveways or over uneven pavement. (2011 Cadillac Cts).

Driving down the interstate highway going about 65 - 69 mph, the right wheel tire started shaking violently, and squealing then, it started wobbling but I was able to get it to come to a complete stop after it spun around a few circles. I got out of the car and noticed that the right rear wheel was sticking out and crooked. I took the car to the dealership right after that, and they replaced the knuckle, link, bolt and tire rod. The suspension got extremely messed up that I've still been unable to get the suspension back to somewhat normal. This costed me 948. 01.

At first, the car wasn't running straight. When I drove straight on an interstate, the steering wheel was about five degrees clockwise. Therefore, I went to the local Cadillac dealer, [xxx], for a wheel alignment. After the alignment, the car ran pretty good, until it ran over a small bump on the road. When I ran over the bump, the car suddenly ran toward the right. I tried to turn left, but it didn't work for about half a second. After half a second, I controlled the car, and it worked fine. I made an u turn, and went to that place again, and it happened again. I went home, grab my meter and my thermometer, and went back to that place. The road temperature was 33. 1 degrees, and there was no ice on the road. The bump was about 4 inches over the road. I took the car to the dealer next day, and they checked almost everything. However, they're unable to identify the problem. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Vibration in steering wheel, floor and seats. Also a thumping sound coming from tires during the first few miles of driving. At times the vibration is so bad you can see the steering wheel shimmy from side to side. The dealership replaced two of the oem michelin tires which did not resolve the problem. Then they force road balanced the tires a couple of times, again did not resolve the problem. Dealership now stating they cannot duplicate the problem.
