Tl-the contact owns a 2002 Cadillac Deville. The contact stated that while driving 55 mph, engine stalled and steering wheel became difficult to turn. As a result, the contact crashed into some trees within the woods. The driver sustained injuries to the left ankle, concussion and bruises. The contact did not seek medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified about the failure. The contact received a notification for recall NHTSA campaign number: 14v355000 (electrical system). The approximate failure mileage was 157,000. Pam.
1. No warning 2. Engine will stall for no reason at any speed. Could cause vehicle to wreck resulting in death. Has happened numerous times with the loss of all power has resulted in running through stoplights and signs because could not brake properly. 3. Took to dealer for diano stated crankshaft sensor needed to be replaced. Have replaced twice now.

An independent mechanic replaced the crank sensors to repair the engine. Updated 7/25/2006 - the consumer has the faulty sensor in his possession.
