Tl- the contact owns a 2003 Cadillac Deville. The contact stated that the vehicle would not start on several occasions. The sensor illuminated for the security sensor. The contact was able to restart the vehicle but the failure continued to occur intermittently and was progressively getting worse. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The vehicle would not start more recently and the contact had to disconnect the battery to stop the horn from sounding off due to the failure. The contact was included in NHTSA campaign id number: 14v355000 (electrical system) and stated that the parts were not available. The dealer did not give a specific date when the parts would become available. The manufacturer was also contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contacts vehicle would receive the recall repairs. The failure continued while the contact was still waiting for the parts to remedy the recall repair and experienced the failure multiple times before receiving the recall notification.
