Ignition Module problems of the 2003 Cadillac Deville

Tl-the contact owns a 2003 cadilac Deville. The contact stated the ignition switch fails when cutting the vehicle on. The key also gets stuck in the ignition. The air bag light illuminates when atempting to cut the vehicle on. The vehicle was towed to the contacts home and an independent mechanic came to the service the vehicle. The independent mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and found that the security module failed and was due to a disconnection of the electrical system. The vehicle was taken to vinings enterprises inc. , dealer (770) 382-2007 904 n tennessee st, cartersville, GA 30120 where they informed the contact that nothing could be done. The vehicle was not repaired the manufacturer was not notified. Jw.

A recall letter was sent to me, I contacted to gm to let them know their recall was a little too late and luckily I was not on the road when this happened I was in a store parking lot when this occurred. I experienced complete loss of brakes,steering and electrical. I thought it was a battery issue. I purchased a new battery. I had to carry the battery 3 miles each way, it was not the battery . Car was towed, repairs were found to be ignition problem and a module needed to be replaced, costing over $800, how do I get reimbursed for this? gm said they would get back to me and its been 3 weeks,I have heard nothing. I would appreciate your help. I have all the receipts and had we been told of the recall a big exspense might of been saved,how do I get some sort of claim form to get reimbursed?.

Started engine; heard loud continuous pinging sound; shut engine down. This could damage engine. Had car towed to dealer who said it was carbon buildup. Car has 2700 miles on it. Must be defective Cadillac. Dealer says problem is normal.
