The contact owns a 2000 Cadillac Deville. The contact stated that his transmission failed in 2001 and had to be replaced. He noticed that the gears were grinding and the transmission was not working properly. The vehicle was towed and the dealer replaced the transmission; however, the replacement transmission failed in 2005 at 39,320 miles. On April 18, 2008, the failure recurred. The first two transmissions were replaced under an extended warranty. The last transmission replacement was the contact's responsibility at the cost of $4,503.
