Car Will Not Start Problems of Cadillac Seville

While driving my 2002 Cadillac sls the ignition just shut off there was no power steering I came to a stop and put my car in park. At the point I had to remove my key and put it back in to start my car. This has happened to my wife while going 65 mph we had to come to a stop and remove the key to start the car. This also happens some times after I drive a short distance my car will not start right away. I have called gm and told them about the problem after the large recall on the ignition recall they told me my car was not in the recall. All I have to say is gm step and take responsibility before someone is hurt I just hope it is not me. Gm you have a ignition problem in Cadillac sls!!!.

Consumer stated he had starting problems. When starting vehicle the indicator told him that the ignition system failed, and vehicle would not start. In addition, consumer had to wait 3 minutes before he could start vehicle. Consumer stated that the recall was for the internal short circuit condition cluster. He called the manufacturer, and was told that his vehicle was not on recall although it was having the same problem.

The vehicle stalled without warning. The dealer had not determined the cause. The vehicle stalled a few times before but would restart. The last occasion the vehicle did not restart. Per invoice, the voltage at the relay had no ground and was found loose. The part was removed, cleaned, tightened, and the vehicle was able to start.
