general problems of the 2014 Cadillac SRX

Cadillac cue system started with spider veins on screen then stopped working at same time light gate goes up and down on its own when driving very dangerous, sometimes when parked it will go up part way down up again and then close someone walks by might hurt them shame Cadillac will not admit to this mistake on a 50000 car.

I have a 2014 Cadillac Srx awd. My passenger rear tire kept losing air. I looked it over a dozen times and never found anything wrong with it as to why it was losing air. I would put air in it and within 2-3 days, I needed to put air in it again. This went on for a few months at least. Then out of nowhere my driver rear tire started losing air and when that started my passenger tire was holding air. Again, I looked my tire over and no screws or anything. Same thing with my passenger rear, I would have to put air in it every couple days. Just 2 days ago I was putting air in my driver rear tire, I stopped for a minute to check to see how much psi I still needed to go. It was at 30psi so I had a little left to go then bam my tire blew. It wasn't even close to where it needed to be. My fiancé took my tire off and it was badly worn from the inside. I hadn't had these tires for 2 years and they should have lasted another year or 2. My boyfriend told me it was because of the toe links rubbing on them and that I needed adjustable ones. I looked on this website for recalls and according to my VIN number I don't have any recalls even though there has been for these rear toe links for other 2010-2016 Cadillacs. I can't drive my car until this is fixed. I should not have to pay for this myself. What if my tire blew when I was driving down the road with my daughter? I would have lost control of the car. All 2010-2016 Cadillacs should get the toe links replaced with adjustable ones immediately.

Low beam headlights to dim to drive. . . Very dangerous and gm is aware of the defective headlights.

Rear trunk/hatch lid: I had pressed the switch on the hatch lid to cause closing. At this point my wife walked too close to the closing hatch and it hit her, and continued to close, causing a gash on her forehead. I am of the belief that any contact made by the hatch and a foreign object will cause the hatch to reverse its closing action.

The floor mat does not stay in place and can get jammed behind the break peddle preventing breaking.

Gm corp/Cadillac issued a recall to the vehicles info center cue screens. They were deteriorating and potential provide false information on the cars message center. Cadillac replaced t he cue screen on the 2014 Srx . The same screen that was replaced is now deteriorated to the point, that after 30 minutes of driving, the screen has become inoperative to the touch and not able to display and current information about the cars condition. This inoperative screen and lack of information creates a distraction and concern about the cars condition. Recall / repair was done under invoice #218494 from autonation Cadillac of west palm bch, fla.

My elderly mother has a 2014 Cadillac Srx. While the vehicle was parked, the center information radio cue system screen cracked all of sudden. I am unable to use or see the cue system and afraid to touch the screen, so that I will not cut my hand or get injured. There was no warning that the screen had cracked. Since the incident first happened the cracking has gotten so much worst. I had my my mother take the vehicle to the dealer, to figure out why this happened, they informed me that the cost to replace the entire cue system would cost over $1200, and it was nothing that they could do, and that they have never seen this happen before. The vehicle only had approximately 43,000 miles on it when this happened. This is extremely unacceptable. TSB: pic6055c (electrical: radio/tape deck/cd).

My headlights do not provide enough light to be safe. I cannot see when they are on the low beam, and others flash their lights at me as if to say they can't see me either. I can see well when the high beams are on, then oncoming traffic flashes they are too bright and blinding them. I have seen numerous reports of this issue for this vehicle on the internet. I reported it to the Cadillac dealer, and they didn't even return my call as they said they would. Don't ignore the problem. Someone could get killed. This is not an isolated incident. I cannot provide any date because it is always like this. I live in a rural area, and need good headlights.

The power liftgate drops quickly a couple of seconds after reaching the full open position.

Headlights on low beam are unsafe and vehicle can not safely be driven at night. We returned to dealers who replaced bulb after one blew out but new bulb did not help. After researching on internet we have learned this is a common problem with this year make and model and has been reported by many consumers although there has been no effort by manufacturer to correct. Very unsafe.

The Cadillac cue system is the main touch screen in the vehicle. I just had to have it replaced because there was a dead spot on the screen. I have been notified by my dealership that there is a known issue and they have recommended issuing a recall. I have heard which I have not been able to confirm that Cadillac is actually suing the company that produces the cue product. Frankel Cadillac in cockeysville, maryland has had to replace a couple of these within the past couple of weeks. I also was advised that the replacement has been taking place for quite sometime. I actually had to go on a waiting list for a couple of weeks to even get one since they appeared to be high in demand because of the need for replacement. I have contacted Cadillac customer service and their only response was that I should reach out for assistance through your company. I have no issue with paying for wear and tear on a vehicle but to have the main control system go down within 4 years and less than 40k miles on my vehicle. I am not sure that I should be out of pocket $817. 00 to repair this.

The cue stop working. This is an issue with this kind of vehicle. All the owners who have the vehicles are having the same issue should be a recall or place another kind of system in the car. If you google this issue it comes up right away. No one has $1200 to keep getting this fixed. My truck is in a/c mode and I cannot change it.

Dash screen sometimes does not work if freezes up and is not useable. I had this replaced two years ago at about 60,000 miles and now it is happening again at 90,000 miles. When this happens the vehicle is in motion on a city street and a highway.

The low beam headlamps continue to grow dim while driving at night. There is a slight regeneration when vehicle is turned off. Restart the vehicle then the headlights appear to continue to dim while driving at night. This is a national safety issue. Several lawsuits have been filed in California, florida, illinois.

Dim lights are to dim. Cant see with them. Cant drive at night because they are to dim.

The problem started a year ago with the lights becoming severely dim and unsafe at night. In the past two months the veu system has taken a mind of its own and usually does not work from the center console. Now the car does not work at all. It's like it's shorted out the whole electrical system. Worst car ever!!! I will never buy a Cadillac ever again.

Dim to barely no low beam lights. Took vehicle to dealership and found out the entire headlamp assemblies need to be replaced due to a faulty seal that has allowed moisture to corrode the reflectors. I am really surprised the vehicle passed inspection with little to no low beam lights which could have caused night blindness causing severe accident.
