The vehicle headlights became defective within 5 years. Moisture entered the lights causing them to dim and not provide sufficient lighting to see. Cadillac knows this is an issue, but has not taken the steps to resolve it.
We purchased a 2014 Srx used and wish we would have looked at reviews prior to purchase. It is to bad gm knows there is a problem with the low beam headlights and won't recall them. Friday night we were turning into a business and could not see the driveway because of the headlights so dim. I am taking it to the dealer on Monday because it is extremely dangerous to drive at night.
Headlight is holding moisture and clouding up which is causing little to no vision at all at night while driving on the highway headlights on Srx's are bad as far as vision goes at night and I see hundreds of complaints from other owners.

Headlights can't see with current headlights and there are 100's of complaints for this. This has been a problem since the day I purchased this Srx 2014 Cadillac Srx and all other Srx owners I have spoke to about this feel that gm has released a automobile with know safety problems that these headlights are. .
My 2014 Cadillac Srx headlights have continued to get more and more dim to the point they are almost unsafe on low level (dim). I have tried everything short of replacing the headlight unit which is extremely expensive. After reading complaints on the internet it seems this is a common problem and gm refuses to address the issue . The car is out of warranty. To me this is as bad a safety issue as airbags. This occurred over a year period and is getting progressively worse.
The headlight range on my 2014 Srx is so bad that I was hardly able to see the road at night while driving thru the black hills of south dakota on rte 16 this past weekend. The people in the car with me noticed the lack of light range and suggested I look into replacing my headlights. I was white knuckled the entire drive. It's a miracle we are still alive.

Many many instances of this posted online and Cadillac has been aware of problem for some time. Also class actions suits. Yet they will recall and are forced to pay huge amount for repairs.

Low beam headlights have become so dim, that driving at night has become a dangerous task. Headlights are so dim that if feels as if only parking lights are on, causing me to drive with high beams on all the time. Headlight lens does not appear to be yellowed.
Headlights dim. Cannot see. This has been a problem with other people I spoke with with the same vehicle. Cadillac needs to take care of this. 900 dollars to replace.
The low beam headlights have increasingly become dimmer to the point where it is difficult to see on the road at night without using high beams. I think the issue began around the middle of 2019.
Over the past 2 years and 4 months the headlights have become more and more dim. I now have to drive with my high beams on and in the rain it's almost impossible to see. A definite safety issue. Cadillac definitely needs to issue a recall and fix this problem!.
Purchased a pre-owned 2014 with 69,000 miles. The low beam headlights didn't illuminate, but the high beams were great. I replaced the low beam bulbs and some light now hits the road, but not nearly enough. It appears that the glass sphere in front of the bulbs is gray and not allowing light to pass thru. The dealer should not have sold the car in this condition.
The headlights of the Cadillac Srx (2014) are so dim that you cannot see the road in front you at night/early morning. It is a huge safety concern. There needs to be a recall on these headlights. My bulbs have been tested and are fine. It is a design flaw in the vehicle. Please investigate the problem and hold Cadillac/gm responsible! attached are photos taken from inside the vehicle in the early morning hours and late evening hours.
Front headlights are out. They have always been very dim and have gotten worse with time. Gm was sued by several customers and they were supposed to offer free reimbursement for replacing the parts. Letters sent only received by few people. Gm refuses to take responsibility for the defective vehicles they manufactured from 2010-2015, all having the same issues. Vehicle is useless at night. Safety hazard. Dimmitt cadlllac in clearwater, florida is not taking responsibility either, although they have been aware of the problem for over 2 years. Dimmitt failed to inform the clients a 90-day window to repair was offered pursuant to a letter most customers did not receive, even when my vehicle was taken within the window period for oil change. The consensus is that gm manufactured defective seals around the headlights which allow moisture/condensation to get in damaging the lights. Vehicle cannot be driven at night as lights are off. This is not a one time event. It's an ongoing situation that gm refuses to correct and/or issue a recall even though all Cadillac Srx 2010-2015 have the same problem.

Low beam headlights are almost useless. Can not see anything . Have had them checked out and been told was problem everyone has. Factory problem.
After just a few years our 2014 Srx had a headlight problem on the driver side it was them and very low and was replaced by the dealer luckily under the warranty. The passenger side was also failing but not as badly so it was not replaced. Just a few months after the warranty expired the passenger side also is very dim and the car cannot be driven at night. This is obviously a major problem and gm is not admitting enough to make it a recall. Please help.
The low beam headlights are so dim I almost got hit by a motorist that did not see me coming down the road. Thios has happened multiple times and I cannot see to drive at night with the low beams on. I was stopped by the state police for having my high beams on and told them I could not see with my low beams on. Officer looked at the head lights and said that the dealer of Cadillac should replace them with new ones at no cost to me. This should have a recall done with new style of headlamp assemblies.
The normal headlights at night do not provide any help. Was told there is nothing wrong with the lights or the assembly. Every bad review says this is a known problem. Every safety rating has been lowered due to headlight issue. Selling car and not buying any more Cadillac's if Cadillac isnt going to help repair their known issues with their vehicles. You spend upper 5 figures for a car and get told too bad. Poor customer service.
Headlights do not project bright enough for night driving. They come on but do not function well enough without turning on the bright lights.
The low beams on my car are very dim and I cannot see to drive at night. I had the headlights replaced and the covers cleaned thinking that may be an issue. After research, I saw that this was an issue with this model. I took the car to the dealer and they stated it is not covered under warranty inspite of seeing many complaints and a class action law suit against gm.
Dim headlights have become so dim that it's unsafe to drive at night unless high beam lights are on. Contacted local dealership and was told I could have them replaced at my cost.
The contact owns a 2014 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that the front headlights had become increasingly dim while in operation. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer to purchase replacement bulbs but was informed that the entire headlight module had to be replaced to fix the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered him a gift card for an oil change. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
Headlights are gone on my 2014 Srx! faded out over time. Gone! I cannot see anything without the hi-beams on now. Only 62k miles. Probably started going out way back, I did not realize it was my car, thought it was my own vision which is already poor to begin with. I live in the country so I'm really screwed on these backroads. Dealer replaced cue system under warranty approx two years ago or less, now its going out again. Mirrors and seat and radio and climate all bleeping out on me. Service mgr. Brett@ sam taylor Cadillac in ft. Walton beach FL. Says this is very common to have to replace it at least twice. Perhaps more? he stated to me that he submitted my issues to gm twice to no avail. Now the dealership has been sold and new people won't even return my calls. It's a very long drive for me to go to them and argue this case as we are still dealing with hurricane michael issues here on our toll bridges and highways, waterways etc. Traffic problems all over. Hardships on folks trying to go to work. Re-routings. But I ask you who is the most likely next purchaser of a new Cadillac vehicle? me, the person who already owns one. !!! trade in for a newer model? no thanks, think I'll just pass seeming how I'm a nobody. Apparently they could care less about their next customer, (gm corp I'm speaking to you). Why would you lose buyers over such a bizarre but simple fix? before this I had the tahoe. Now maybe Nissan or infinity is calling my name. Shame.
Just purchase 2014 caddilac Srx. While driving at night low beam headlights have indequate illumination and beam pattern. Difficult to clearly see any obstructions in the road, people or cars on the shoulder of the road without having to have the bright lights selected. No long term fix identified by Cadillac. All they want to do is replace the bulbs with the same ineffective oem. Unsafe to drive at night unless one is extremely careful.
Concern: extremely dim headlights on my Cadillac Srx, so dim and hazardous that I do not drive at night and not in rain. I have since learned of pending lawsuits over the same issue. This is a huge safety issue. This is shameful of Cadillac - I have a 4 year old vehicle with 55k miles that I can longer safely drive at night. My high beam headlights still function properly but I cannot drive all the time with my high beams - it would not be safe for oncoming traffic. Cadillac is doing nothing to correct this problem. They have offered a costly repair, but I have been cautioned that the repair work will not correct the problem. A true repair is needed and Cadillac needs a recall. Very dangerous!.
Low beam headlights do not project sufficient light to see at night. Bulbs replaced, but problem persists. Now reading online that many 2011-2015 Srx owners are experiencing the same issue causing night visibility issues that are a safety concern.
