Interior Rearview Mirror Problems of Cadillac SRX

The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Srx. The contact stated that the chrome on the inside air vents reflected off the outside rearview mirror, impairing the contacts vision. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated that there were no related recalls. The contact called the manufacturer who confirmed that there were no recalls and provided no further assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The current mileage was approximately 52,000 and the failure mileage was approximately 50,500.

While driving, the rear view mirror failed. This caused poor visibility. The rear view mirror dimmer function failed as well. The mechanic informed the consumer that the vehicle was operating as designed. Please fill in additional information. The consumer stated that for tall people the auto dimmer does not work at the angle it is attatched. The second row seat head rest blocks the sensor. The consumer stated that the glare is dangerous.
